Sweet Fluttering Hearts

Young Hearts Aflutter smiled as Fluttershy gently brushed her mane and tail.

"Are you ready for your first day of school?" Shattered Heart asked, kissing her head and downing a can of Tantabus Energy.

"I-I'm nervous," the filly replied, "what if nopony likes me?"

"You're just like your mother," Shattered laughed, pointing to Fluttershy.

The yellow mare laughed, "I'm getting better."

Hearts Aflutter blushed and grabbed her lunch in her mouth. "Bmm, Mmms!"

The two mares watched with a parent's pride as their little miracle flew over to the schoolhouse.

Miss Cheerilee, the fuchsia schoolteacher, noticed the filly and smiled to herself. She clapped her hooves and announced, "Class, we seem to have a new student. Sweetheart, why don't you introduce yourself to the class?"

Hearts Aflutter stood up and swallowed hard. "I-I'm Hearts Aflutter."

Three little fillies beamed to themselves and planned their course of action with the motley filly.

Lunch came, and Hearts Aflutter smiled as she opened her lunch box. What she found was a heart-shaped hay-and-daisy sandwich on white bread with the crust trimmed, a bottle of fresh apple juice, carrot hearts, and a note.

Dear Hearts Aflutter, please enjoy your lunch. We love you! ~Your moms

Three little fillies walked over and sat down by Hearts Aflutter, startling her. The orange filly looked at her funny at first, then said, "Hi, I'm Scootaloo!"
