Chapter VI. Leaving Home Behind

Once Spike had left to go save Twilight and Anon in Canterlot, Cadence turn back to face Spike's Family. "Well, That was easier then expected" Cadence smiled wickedly.

"Mum? What do you mean?" Flurry Heart step back wards feeling cautious Until she turned around to see the two Guards have turned into Changeling, making her gasp looking back her Mum.

"Sorry Sweetie Mummy isn't here right now." Cadence disappeared right in front of her eye's leaving behind a bigger looking Changeling, he Grabbed hold of Flurry Heart and throw her down the stairs.

Blazing went to Flurry side bringing her back and then stood in front of his Mother and Friend protecting them both, Agile also stood in front of Stood in front of her wife trying to keep self.

"Allow me to introduce myself, I am the General and this is my Changeling army. I work for the master and I'm sorry to say that my orders are to kill to which we will enjoy." The General eyes scan the group looking at each coming to Thorax. "So you are the legendary traitor I've heard so much about." The General made his way over trying to intimidate him as much as possible.

"The name is Thorax." Thorax stood his ground not be intimidated the General.

"So you say, I'm guessing you called your self that. You know that you could join us again and I will hold no judgement on you. It's a once in a lifetime offer, what do you say?" The General smiled, it was slimy and unsettling, it was a smile not to be trusted.

"No thanks, I'm doing just fine with being free." Thorax glared The General down causing him to back hoof smack Thorax to the ground.

"You ungrateful bastard. I make you a once in a life time and you spit it back in my face." The General continue to kick Thorax in the stomach make him cough.

Blazing watched as The General beat Thorax to a pulp. Blazing felt his anger reach boiling point make him use his magic to fling The General across the room into the book shelves behind him. The two Changeling Guards gallop over to aid their leader.

"Right that brought us some time, let's go!" Blazing picked up Thorax off the floor and put him on his back and rushed back to his group.

"No! don't worry about me, stop them you prick's." But before they could turn around to do anything Agile had teleported them out of there. "DANM IT! YOU IDIOTS!" The General picked up the two Guards and snaped their necks. "Master Nightmare will not be pleased." The General spoke out loud to him self as fear kicked in.

Canterlot Castle

"Wakey, wakey drakey." The Master Nightmare whispers down Spikes ear causing him stir but and not enough to wake him up. That was until The Master back hoof slaps the drake awake. "I said wake up!"

Spikes eyes go wide, darting around the room checking where he was. To only find that he was in the same place as he was before but yet one Change. The Master stood in front of him looking younger and stronger with his four super slaves behind, Tirek, King Sombra, Queen Chrysalis and Discord the Sprit of Chaos and Disharmony. "Damn it!"

"Sorry you haven't died yet. I need you alive, if you die then me and my super slaves die. See your the last one alive out of ponies that gave me blood and the spell has a problem. if at least one ponies, dragon left alive is killed by something other then old age or illness the spell fails. so you see your the most important thing to this take over and I wont let anything happen to you my pet." The Master gloats.

Spike completely blacked out The Master and looked up to see Discord frowning. "D-discord are... are you okay?" Spike asks as he could feel all of the energy

"I tried so hard to be good and it turned out to be for nothing and now I'm just a slave waiting for orders. But I won't attack Fluttershy, I'll do my best to resist. I promise I won't hurt her!"

"That's why you lost, you were soft and weak. That pony Stupide turned a great god of chaos into pansy." King Sombra growled.

"HOW DARE YOU TALK ABOUT FLUTTERSHY LIKE THAT! And if that so true what's your excuse for your death?" King Sombra looked straight Spike growling harshly.

"That Dragon Killed me!" King Sombra's answers Making Discord laugh.

"So you wasn't strong enough, you couldn't fight good enough and Spike Smacked your ass down." King Sombra growled and was about to retaliate but he could think come and huffed instead causing the Draconequus to laugh even more, which angered Sombra.

"Discord I... I need to, to tell something." Spike spat out with what strength he had left.

Discord stopped laughing to listen. "Yes Spike the King Slayer." King Sombra's eye's roll at the comment.

"Fl... Fluttershy is, is dead!" Spike managed to speak out. " She burned alive in an accident at Sweet Apple Acres. Fluttershy lived happily and missed y-you so very much." Discord said something in reply but Spike could hear him. The Last thing Spike could hear was the doors to the throne room opening and his name being called, before he blacked out for the second time.

You had hold of both Twilight and Spike and teleported back to Sweet Apple Acers to find that everypony was already here. You carefully place Twilight and Spike on the Sofa.

Scootaloo's eye's go wide in fear as she see Spikes body. "SPIKE!" She pushes her wheelchair as fast as she can rushing to her husband side Spike's children soon followed behind.

You look at Scootaloo's Blood Bag drip to see it very low and then at Spikes arm. "We wont make it anywhere with out some medicine supply's." You think as come to your decision. "Im going back to the hospital to pick up medicine Supply's." You tell the rest of the group as you stand up about to tell port before Applebloom shouts out stopping him in his tracks.

"Oh no ya don't!"

"But we need the supply's with out them, Spike and Scootaloo could die!" You argue back breathing heavily.

"I get that but ya not gonna go alone, you're tired and out of breath you need somepony watching your flank. By the way this is me telling you. Rosie ya in charge while im gone" Applebloom stood by your side with her saddle bags on her back waiting for you to teleport away with her.

"You can count on me Applebloom." Rosie Smiles it had been the biggest responsibility Applebloom had given her. Applebloom was always figuratively wrapping everything up in bubble wrap since the death of their parents.

Since you saw no way of winning the argument you decided to give in. "Alright but you better have my back."

"Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cup cake in my eye." Applebloom promised as she did the movements that went with it which made you smile.

"We wont be long." You let the group know as you teleport away leaving the group to look after Spike and Twilight.

You teleported to the only room you knew was clear in the hospital, Pinkies room. Once you were in the room you turned around to see your Wife still on the bed in the Same position as you left her. Anger boils through your blood as you think about The Master and your revenge. Applebloom gasp as stand's by your side seeing Pinkie For the first time, tears rolled Applebloom face and looks up at you with sorrow in her eyes.

You keep angry face as you feel Applebloom look up at you. "We better get a move on." You growl turning away from the bed.

"If that's what ya wanna do." Applebloom answered not wanting to press you on the matter as she followed behind you.

You peak your head out turning both side's, the corridor was dark and eerily quite and you didn't like it but saw no other option. You gave Applebloom the nod to let her know its all clear but to also be on her guard. Both of you snuck through the hospital looking each and every way, left to right, forward and back, while your horn glowed bright helping you see through the dark. You and Applebloom were both on edge as you could feel the presence of somepony else, but kept going straight ahead not stopping for no pony.

It wasn't long until you found the supply room, Applebloom tried to open the door but found it locked. "Darn it, locked." Applebloom whispered.

"Move out the way." Applebloom did as was told letting you get to the door. You put your horn to the lock of focusing on it until he heard it click letting him know it was open. "Did it."

You and Applebloom rushed into the supply room and shut the door behind them making sure they were safe. Applebloom straight away started scavenging, grabbing boxes of Painkillers and bottles of Hydrogen Peroxide to clean Spikes arm up with. you grabbed hold of blood bag's, iv bags, rolls of bandages, needles and the thread that went with it. Once everything was collected and put in Applebloom saddle bag's they made their way out and headed back.

As you trot out of the Supply room your light goes out from your horn. you try to turn it back on but it wouldn't work. "Come on!" you tap your horn with your hoof as you start getting angry.

"Shhh, keep your voice down" Applebloom whispers while getting worried.

"Sorry but magic isn't working like something is..." You interrupted as your heard very loud hissing coming from behind you. Applebloom and you turn around see hundreds of green light star glowing reviling hundreds of Changeling troops. "LETS GO APPLEBLOOM!" You shout as you start galloping away with Applebloom following closely behind.

Every door you come across you shut behind you in hopes of slowing them down but it didn't work they just kept coming. you could feel your self getting tired, at the moment you were being fuelled by adrenalin and the thought of knowing that if you stopped your best friend will die and his wife. You soon came up to Pinkies room and pushed Applebloom in the room and locked the both of you in.

"Sorry about that, now get on my and we'll fly out of here!" You tell Applebloom while you lower your self so she could jump on

"Wait, why cant we teleport?" Applebloom asks confused.

"Because they Changeling's are blocking my magic, lets go" You answer Quickly as hear the changelings pound the door making you nervous.

"But we cant leave Pinkie here like this, she need's proper burial." Applebloom argued.

Applebloom was right, you could leave you wife like this so you galloped over to her started to flap your wings and picked her up in your fore hooves. You flew out of the hole in the wall but lowered your self so Applejack could get on. "NOW GET MOVING!" As soon Applebloom was on your back, you flew off holding on to Pinkie as tight as you could. You got so far out and you could feel your magic work again and so you teleported back to the farm.

You make everypony jump as you teleport mid air still flying in the Apple house hold. you stop before crashing into anything, you fly over to the group and lower your self enough so that Applebloom could get off but to but not so far that your hooves didn't touch the floor. You fly over to the arm chair and place Pinkie down so gently. Everypony was now looking at you with sad eyes but you didn't take notice and gave pinkie a kiss on the forehead. "Im sorry." You whispered before going over to Applebloom.

You open Applebloom's saddlebag to pull out the bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide. "We'd better do this now before we leave" You tell Applebloom to which she nod's to in reply.

"How was Everything while we we're gone?" Applebloom asks Rosie

"Quite, too Quite. I think we should get going soon." Rosie Surgusted.

"We will do soon, ya did good though Rosie well done." Applebloom congratulate honestly

Spike was still out could which should make your job easier. you open the bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide and grab hold of Spike's so can start to pour Hydrogen Peroxide on to the wound causing Spike to wake up and scream out loud In pain.

"Spike!" Scootaloo And Twilight shouted simultaneously out fear as Agile and Blazing Diamond watched in silence, scared for their father.

"Its okay Spike, we are cleaning you up buddy, do you hear me Spike!" You ask making Spike nod in reply. "Good, we just cleaned you up now we're gonna stich you up." You let spike know but get no reply.

There was a lot of loose skin around Spike arm where the Master Nightmare had sawed through it. You sew the thread though the needle using your magic to stich up Spike which was difficult with all of the scales that were still attached, it took all your brute strength to stich him up. Once it was done you bandaged him up and washed all the blood that was on your own hooves off.

You trotted back into the front room back to the group. "We should find a Place to Hide, The Master Will soon find out about this place."

Applebloom nodded in agreement "But where?"

The whole room went Silent as Everypony thought about where they could hide. "I know where we could go." Twilight spoke out loud breaking the silence.

"Where?" Everypony asked at once.

"Starlight's old village, Its abandon and we are the only Ponies that know about it!" Twilight explained.

Everypony looked at each other and nodded in agreement. "Sounds like a good plan Mum." Nightfall answered as he hugged his Mum tightly.

"If that's what were doing im gonna need ya Apple Charm, Blazing Diamond, Agile and you Rosie to help me in the kitchen?" Applebloom asks.

"Sure" Apple Charm, Blazing Diamond, Agile and Rosie replied simultaneously and followed Applebloom into the kitchen.

While Applebloom and the others went into the kitchen you replaced Scootaloo's blood bag. "Thank you Anon for everything." Scootaloo smiled up at you.

"Its no problem I know Spike would do the same for me. "You smile back at Scootaloo before turning around Seeing Thorax and Flurry Heart Standing around looking Scared. "How are you two doing?"

"Not good if im honest." Thorax answers bluntly.

"I just want My Mum to be okay." Flurry Began to cry so Thorax put a hoof around her to comfort her.

"Don't worry its gonna be okay, this isn't our first rodeo with evil and I bet it wont be the last." You reassure the pair.

It wasn't long until Applebloom, Apple Charm, Blazing Diamond, Agile, Rosie and Thorax came back and they were all wearing Saddle bag. "Lets go!" Applebloom told you.

"What's in the Bags?" You ask confused.

"Food." Applebloom answered bluntly.

"Smart." you nod your head.

"What do ya wanna do with Pinkie?" Applebloom asks looking at Pinkie with a frown.

"I'll Bury her at the old village for now." You tell Applebloom I serious tone.

"If that's what ya wanna do." You nod in reply wiping away tear causing Applebloom to cuddle you which accepted greatly.

After the hug you Applebloom turn to the group and trot over. Spike was on his daughters back Agile wanted to carry him after every thing that had happened, the same was said for Nightfall he carried Twilight on his back and he wouldn't take no for answer. Just as you teleport away a group of Changeling's break in with The Master following behind them. "NO! THEY GOT AWAY!" In The Masters anger he grabs hold of the nearest Changeling and rip's he's head straight off. "I WANT HIM BACK! HUNT THEM DOWN!"

"YES MASTER!" The squad of Changeling saluted.
