Zapp The Awesome

Dash was sitting at home watching the news while also a plate of chips, wearing a tank top and shorts feeling bored at the report being made. She wanted to change it but an extreme weather alert caught her attention as she glued herself to the TV.

"An extreme thunderstorm warning has been issued for the Metropolis area, please seek shelter immediately"

The alert was put on repeat as Dash went outside to see nothing but rain and maybe a streak of lightning, even a few rumbles of thunder here and there. Dash felt disappointed at the fact that the extreme thunderstorm was elsewhere. All of a sudden a strong lightning bolt hit the ground electrifying everything it touched, when it stopped the bolt left a gold necklace seem visible though the pouring heavy rain.

"Whoa" said Dash walking closer towards it.

The gold necklace had what looked like a single thunderbolt just as Dash picked it up then ran back inside before the storm got even worse.

"I wonder what kind of awesome things I can do with this" pondered Rainbow, setting the necklace down on the table as it sparked more.

This came from a lightning storm

Instead of leaving the necklace where it was, Dash decided to wear it around herself. A spark started then a ball of energy surrounded Rainbow giving her a whole new outfit: Navy Blue with grayish white bolts on them. She reappeared and surveyed her current outfit as Dash circled herself while looking at the mirror.

"This is a little strange but now the other problem is how in the hell am I going to change back into my normal clothes?" asked Dash.

An idea popped up in her mind so she decided to tap the necklace once and once again the outfit disappeared as her normal clothing returned but still had the lightning bolts around her tank top.

"Still cool though" said Dash.

A knock at the door could be heard from across the room.

"Hey Dash you in there? You said we were going to the bar tonight" said Dash's best friend Gilda, growing impatient.

"Yea yea I'm coming Gilda" yelled Rainbow as she grabbed her stuff and car keys before opening the door.

"There you are, I was waiting for you" said Gilda still impatient.

Rainbow rolled her eyes.

"Let's just go Gilda like we planned" said Dash a little annoyed.

The two friends got in the car before Dash started the engine then driving off. Gilda sat back in her seat, relaxing a bit before noticing Rainbow's necklace.

"What's with the new accessory? I never thought you were into jewelry" teased Gilda.

"It just looks cool ok?" said Dash feeling embarrassed.

Gilda laughed, giving her best friend a friendly dig in the arm. Dash responded to that with an awkward laugh before she parked her car so they can get out and walked to the bar. Inside, you could see people having conversations about stuff Gilda wasn't interested in or just didn't flat out care; Dash found a seat on a stool ordering a scotch whiskey while her friend got a Jack Daniels as the two of them drank their problems away.

"So Dash how is Scootaloo doing?" asked Gilda curious.

"She's doing ok, she's just on a  trip to Italy for a year to get some rest" explained Rainbow downing some more scotch whiskey.

"That sounds pretty cool" responded Gilda.

Doors flung open as a bunch of guys and two girls stormed in as everyone stopped their conversations then proceeded to leave except for Dash and Gilda. One of the girls tapped her shoulder but was punched hard in the nose knocking her down.

Leave it to Gilda to start a bar fight

A man was charging at her so without thinking first she suddenly moved quickly as the man rammed his own head into the beer tap barrels, getting his head stuck.

"Whoa" said Dash surprising herself.

Gilda knocked out three of them while the other 2 left with their tails tucked between their legs as Dash was still standing, looking at her sparking hands but hid them quickly as Gilda walked by.

"You ok Dash?" asked Gilda.

"Yea and how about you?" responded Dash, asking her friend the same question.

"Yea I got a little banged up but nothing a nice hot bath won't fix" proclaimed Gilda.

The girls drove home, first it was to Gilda's house which was not too far into the city of Metropolis.

"Well see ya" said Gilda getting out of the car waving goodbye.

Dash waved before driving off pondering the thought of what happened to her earlier. Her body just moved on it's own causing that man to get his head stuck in a beer tap barrel.

That wasn't a trick that actually happened

She knew the necklace around herself probably caused her sudden movement. This thought didn't leave her mind as she drove home but suddenly a cry for help could be heard Dash looked up as she saw one of the apartment buildings was on fire so Rainbow stopped her car, getting out quickly.

"Alright time to put my powers to the test" said Dash as she transformed into her outfit.

The fire was spreading throughout the building so Dash closed her eyes imagining rain and behold to her, the sky darkened then rained on the building dousing out the raging flames.

Whoa it's like I can control the weather or something

Dash shook her head then walked in, covering her nose evacuated everyone in there as firefighters came to tend the wounded.

"Thanks for the assist" said the firefighter.

"It was no trouble, by the way you can call me Zapp The Awesome" said Dash standing proud.

"Uh how about we just call you Zapp, sounds less egotistical don't you think?" asked the firefighter.

"That works too" responded Dash as she went home.

Changing back to herself, she plopped herself on the couch falling asleep.
