Chapter 4: Haggarium

Just as we were planning, Luna's eyes snapped open and she charged towards Galaxy. The blue pegasus yelped and caught her. "Hey! Whoa! Easy, princess!" He soothed. Luna's panting lessened becoming more calm and relaxed. "What happened?" Galaxy asked. Luna sighed and took a deep breath.

"Comet....invaded Canterlot. I tried to stay with my sister, but she let herself be captured and now Comet and Nightmare Moon are holding her captive in her own palace. Even I did not have the strength to fight both of them." She explained. Galaxy sat down in a booth and just sat there, speechless. This wasn't like Galaxy, not one bit. Something's up with Galaxy. A voice in my mind told me. For once, I was in complete agreement. It wasn't like Galaxy to just sit there and not say a word. Something was bothering him, and I intended to find out what. Hours passed after Luna had told us was happened. Crystal was holding Galaxy in her hooves, trying to sooth his frustration. Castiel pulled me aside for a moment.

"Cass?" I asked, startled. He put a hoof on my mouth. When I glanced back to our friends, I saw they were frozen in mid-action.

"I froze time for a moment so no pony could hear what I am about to divulge to you." Castiel explained. "You recall why I arrived in Equestria, correct?" He asked me. I nodded. "Well, stopping Comet wasn't the only reason. Mocha, what I am about to say may change your perception of Galaxy." He warned. I gulped, but listened. "You may not believe it, but your friend is...." Cass sighed, pausing and then resuming his sentence, "half alicorn." He finished. My jaw dropped. "Yes, I know. It surprised even me." He told me.

"I'm sorry, Cass, but Galaxy's half alicorn?!" I exclaimed. "How is that even possible?!" I asked. The angel nodded.

"Mocha, how do you think out of every battle you've fought, Galaxy has appeared to be relatively unharmed?" He asked me. Ooh, I thought. That was a good question. Honestly, I just thought Galaxy healed fast, but this changed everything. Only question was, did Crystal know? Meanwhile, at Canterlot, Comet was losing his temper. Celestia was covered in bruises while Nightmare Moon sat smugly on her throne, one leg crossed over another.

"For the last time, Celestia, tell me how to get to Dragon's Cove so I can destroy Equestria!" He demanded. Celestia lost patience and blasted Comet through the palace doors outside, causing him to fall. A guard at the gate was trying to get a delivery pony to leave.

"For the last time." The guard sighed. "We did not order a giant trampoline!" He shouted. The mail pony scoffed.

"You know pal, you could've told me that before I set it up." He explained just as Comet made contact with the trampoline, launching him back to the palace and straight into a wall in the throne room. Nightmare Moon and Celestia both cringed. Comet walked out of the rubble with stars around his head.

"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star....!" Comet mumbled before passing out. Meanwhile, at Dragon's Cove, Garble and his pals were carefully mining out a dark substance in the abyss of the Dragon's Cove caverns. One of Garbles friends almost dropped his container.

"Careful, idiot!" Garble shouted. "Comet needs this....whatever it's called, in order to turn one of those ponies evil and hopefully destroy Celestia!" The dragon explained. He face-palmed. "Why is it I always have to do everything myself?" He groaned. The last of the containers was full of a dark, purple liquid substance. A cloaked pony looked at the containers, his voice somewhat familiar.

"Good work, Garble. Comet will be pleased with the Haggarium." He said. Garble raised an eyebrow.

"Haggarium?" He asked. The pony nodded.

"A dark substance that was nearly wiped out by the royal sisters. Thankfully, this stash was untouched. Once Comet has it, my ex, Mocha, will be under his command. One dose of this, and it corrupts your heart with dark desires, and dark thoughts........." The pony trailed off, shaking his head. Garble was scratching his head.

"Your ex?" He asked. The pony nodded, removing his hood. The dragons all gasped. The pony was a light grey, had red eyes, a smooth, jet-black mane, and a horn. They couldn't see the rest of him, but underneath his cloak were dragon wings. The pony was my ex, Valerium. Val looked serious. He had a look of hatred in his eyes.

"Yes, Vanilla Mocha, Ponyville's Coffee mare." He replied. "After Crowley's defeat, well, she and I split up and she moved on. That Galaxy was always protective of her." Val spat in a manner of distaste for Galaxy's name. "Believe me, Garble, I plan to get my revenge on Galaxy by taking away everything he holds dear. His wife, daughter, sister, friends, and his family." Val explained, his eyes glowing. Garble nodded rapidly, scared. His face twisted into seriousness.

"Then let me come with you and help you and Comet." He said. Val smirked.

"I figured you'd say that, my friend." He replied.

"I just can't believe it!" Quillton shouted in my cafe. "Celestia of all ponies. Captured!" The part time journalist was pacing back and forth in a frustrated manner. Luna nodded.

"It is a grave situation, Quillton." She told him. Crimson, Sunset, Soul, and even Scythea were here. Me and everypony else called him Scy for short. Galaxy called him Icy, and he didn't mind. He actually liked being called Icy. Galaxy was in deep thought. Oh, how could I tell? You see, whenever Galaxy was in deep thought, his eyes would be closed and a hoof to his chin with his stetson tilted upwards just a tiny bit. Right now, that's exactly how he looked. I heard the bell to my shop cling as the door opened, and everypony, including me, gasped. There, standing in the doorway in a black cloak, was my ex husband, Valerium. Galaxy was so startled that he clutched his chest and fell to the floor, his legs kicking the air. He let out a yelp as he did so. One rule when he's in deep thought: never startle him. Val chuckled.

"Hello, Mochy." My ex said. "Been a while, hasn't it? Let's chat." Val told us. All of us gulped, not knowing how to respond.
