CHAPTER ONE

As usual Twilight sits in the library of her castle reading the book “Magical Cures, Potions and other Remedies” by Dr. Whitecolt. Twilight takes notes as she reads along.

"When accidently eatting the Poisonus Red Flower from Black Swamp Lake one must mix the following ingredients promptly. Frog Saliva, Swamp Water, Ivy Roots and Rose Petals. Drinking them will cancel the efects of the Red Flower." Twilight takes notes.

Suddenly there´s a knock at the door. Twilight finds this odd as she wasn’t expecting any visits. She leaves her book onthe library’s table and walks over to the castels front door to see who it is. “Coming.” She says as the knocking continues.

She opens the castles front door. Its her friend Apple Jack. “Apple Jack. How are you?” Twilight greets her. “What bring you here?” Apple Jack greets her back. She looks worried and seems like she hasn’t had enough sleep. Twilight notices this.

“Is something wrong AJ?” she asks.

“I-I Don’t know…. I. Can I come in?” Apple Jack seems distracted as she asks.

“Yes. Yes of course.” Twilight let´s her inside.

As they both walk along the long hallway into the library room Apple Jack notices that Spike and Starlight are no where to be seen. "You´re all alone here Twi?" She asks Twilight.

“Spike is in Canterlot for Royal business and Starlight is helping Trixie with her Equestria Apology Tour. Being alone gives me time to catch on into my reading.” As they enter the library Twilight notices a slight fear in Apple Jacks eyes. "Are you ok? You don't look very well."

Apple Jack seems stressed and frightened. “I´m a little tired. I... I haven’t been able to sleep lately.”

“Oh. Then you’ve come to the right place. I’ve remember reading about a Sweet Dreams Spell that’ll help you sleep in no time.”

“NO!” Apple Jack strongly denies the offer. “It´s not that I can´t. It´s just that I... don´t want too.”

Twilight seems confused. “Is anything wrong AJ? Do you want me to call Princess Luna or Princess Celestia?”

Apple Jack seems scared and rejects the idea. "No. You know... It was a mistake coming here. I... I better go."

Twilight gets worried and stop Apple Jack. She looks terrified. “Are you alright AJ?” Apple Jack shakes her head no and tries to leave. “This was a bad idea I should leave.” She says out of nowhere.

Twilight stops her and insists in helping her out. "Apple Jack I´m your friend. you can trust me."

“It´s that… I… Um…. I´ve been seeing things. I’m really scared Twi.” Twilight looks at Apple Jack, there is great amount of fear in her eyes. The type of fear you know that someone is telling you the truth. Twilight asks her to sit down and start from the beginning.

"Why don't you sit down and tell me what's happening."

Apple Jack hesitates but accepts Twilight's help. "Ok then. It all happened a few days ago."

A few days ago:
As Apple Jack gallops through the night the rain starts pouring down heavily. “I was returning home from an apple pie delivery. It was late at night and a storm suddenly broke down.” Apple Jack gallops as fast as she can, followed by her apple pie cart. Thunder and lightning filling the sky. “It was getting worst so I decided to find shelter from the storm.”

From a distance she sees the castle of the two sisters and gallops faster towards it fighting the heavy winds to find some shelter. She gets inside and as soon as she was safe from the storm she parks her cart near the entrance and walks inside. The storm gets stronger every second. The castle, as creepy as it seemed at day, wasn’t more welcoming at night. Apple Jack takes her soaked hat off trying to dry it a little bit. She walks around the castle feeling colder and colder as she enters deeper and deeper inside. “It was getting cold so I tried looking for some woods or leaves to start a fire.”

She walks into the castels library . She smiles as she sees all those old dusty books covering the walls of the castel top to bottom. She grabs a couple of them and piles them up to start a fire. Suddenly a loud noise is heard inside the library. Apple Jack stops in her tracks as the loud noise echoes thru the room. “Hello? Is someone there?” She asks into the pitch black room but no one answers.

“Hello?” She asks again and the sound of a book falling from a shelf is heard. Apple Jacks back hair raise as she looks around the large dark room trying to find someone else. “I was just looking for some shelter from the storm. But I can leave if you want.” She asks but no one answers. Apple Jack stays quiet for a moment trying not to make a sound. Suddenly the squeak of a door slowly closing is heard followed by a hard slam. Afraid and without hesitation Apple Jack gallops as fast as she can out of the room into a hallway. She is too afarid to stop losing her orientation, she continues running away. Unfortunately, she gets lost inside the castles corridors.

Apple Jack thinks for a bit trying to retrace her steps. “I got lost. The hallway was dack and I could verly see anything.” She narrates. “And then the most terrifying thing happened to me.” Apple Jack hesitates for a second before continuing her story. “Someone whisper something into my ear.”

"Someone?" Twilight asked looking scared. Apple Jack nods yes.

"I felt it's breath inches away from my ear. It was horrible."

“What did it said?” Twilight asked as Apple Jack continues.

“I don´t know. I… I just kept running as fast as I could until I found a way out of there.”

Twilight looks at her in disbelief. “There was someone living in the castle? Did you see anyone?”

Apple Jack looks terrified as she hesitates to answer. “I really don’t know. I didn’t see anyone. But I think that whatever was living inside the castle… followed me home.”
