Ace Combat Sky Wanderers

It was early in the morning in Equestria, as the sun rises from the magic of Princess Celestia. But, from hundred miles from Canterlot; above seven thousand feet up in the skies, a group of Lendian bomber squadron of nine TU-95 Bears and three B-2 Spirits were escorted by two Fighter Squadrons; one with seven Mig-33s from Belka (Purpur 7th Air Division 65th Tactical Fighter Squadron), and one with five SU-35 Super Flankers and one Typhoon from Erusea (Albireo 26th Air Force 1st Fighter Wing 1st Fighter Squadron).

Leading the Albireo Squadron, is an anthro pegasus colt named Shadow Blade. Shadow Blade has hatred towards Celestia during and after the invasion of changlings, and for not saving his beloved family. When he moved to join Erusean Air Force, he became one of deadliest pilots ever lived since the start of the war. He pilots the CFA-44 Nosferatu, Estovakias latest jet used in Emmeria-Estovakian war, T-50 PAK-FA, and EF-2000 Typhoon. He prefers air superiority and multi-role jets. He was rumored to be the only pilot to ambushed and attacked one of the allied forces fleet single-handed, and left no survivors that time, killing them with multiple bullets as they abandoned their ships. He was feared ace pilot known as 'Schnitter', or Shadow Reaper.

While escorting the bomber squadron, he puts his fighter jet in auto-pilot mode, and pulls out his booklet and reads the last part of the chapter. He mainly enjoys reading action and adventure stories in his spare time, as well listening to music, mainly heavy metal.

"Shadow!" His wingman, Dimitri Asulf, called him. "How`re you so far, comrade?"

Shadow smiles and replies, "Nothing much, just reading the last part of the chapter." He and Dimitri were like brothers since they first met. They shared a bit of some other stuff they have, mainly music and books. But they also shared some blood they prey upon their victims in aerial combats.

"Ah, I see!" Dimitri nods, as he takes a sip of his water bottle filled with sweet tea. "I hope you read the best part of the story so far!"

"Yeah," Shadow chuckles, "I`m getting there in some time by now." As he just got finished reading the last part of the chapter, he places his bookmark in the next chapter.

Suddenly, the radio channeled to one of the bomber pilots, called out, "This is Orca 1 to all units, were thirty miles away from the target! Albireo Squadron, youre cleared to engage any and all targets!"

Shadow puts on his mask and slides his helmet glasses on, and responds, "Roger that!"

"You're ready for this, Shadow Blade?" Asked Dimitri, as Shadow smiles and recalls, "You got that damn right? Let`s screw shit up, Albireo!"

"Roger!" His squadron responded, as they break from the strike group, and dives down to engage any targets he sees.

'Finally!' Shadow thoughts, as an evil grin spread across his face, 'Celestia, you better watch out! We`re coming for you and your arrogant subjects!'

Meanwhile back at Canterlot in the orphanage, Nicholas was asleep. Aaron got up early out of the entire house hold. Aaron looks out the window, seeing the sun rising up from behind the moutains. It was a beautiful clear skies today. Aaron decided to go out for a jog by himself, but Nicholas got up and sees Aaron up.

"Hey, Aaron!" Nicholas nodded as he rubs his eyes. "You got up earlier than me, what`s up with that?"

"Nothing much," Aaron replied as he said, "I`m thinking about going out to jog." Aaron then thought of wanting to jog with him. He asked his friend, "You wanna come to?"

"Sure!" Nicholas said to him, walking back to his bedroom yawning.

As Nicholas got to his room, he opens his dresser, and pulls out his gym shorts and under armor. He undresses his sleeping clothes and changes into his exercise clothes.

After getting dressed up to exercise, he walks out his bedroom and walks downstairs. Aaron was waiting downstairs. As they met up, they turned to the orphanage manager and informs him that they`re going out for a jog.

The manager smiles, "Okay, boys! Be safe!"

"Okay!" The boys responded, as they walked out and started to jog.

While they jogged, they looked up to skies and Aaron nods, "Sure is such a beautiful clear day from the start!"

"Yeah, I know!" Nicholas smiles, as he gazed up to see beauty of the clear skies above them.

They had been jogging throughout most of Canterlot, and decided to take a short break near a water fountain. They sat on the nearby bench. As they sat there for nearly two minutes, a white anthro alicorn mare with blue strips on her pink mane walks by them. It was Princess Flurry Heart. She was also walking along with her aunt Twilight and her daughter Starburst, along with her friends; Prism Bolt and Crystal Claire.

She turns to Nicholas and Aaron and game them a warmly smile. "Hey boys! Good morning!" She said to them.

Aaron looks up to her and jumps. "Oh crap!" He fell on the ground, and quickly gets up.

Flurry, and Twilight and her friends giggles, then Claire asked Aaron, "Are you alright, darling?" She smiles and giggles a bit more, seeing him blushing.

Aaron stood up and bows. He said to her, "Im doing fine! Me and Nicholas are just out here for a jog, thats all!"

"Really, is it so?!" Flurry Heart smiles, as she could tell, seeing Nicholas and his friend sweating from exercising. "That`s really good!" Prism speaks to them, winking, and causing Aaron to blush mildly.

"I don`t blame you, Prism!" Nicholas nods and said, "Today, so far, sure is beautiful this morning."

"Yeah, sure is!" Aaron sighs to his friend, and turned to the Princess and asks, "So, Princess? Hows-" Aaron was cut off, as the Princess responds, "You dont call me Princess everything, dear. Just call me Flurry." She gave him a wink. Aarons face turns red, as the Princess chuckles, "Youre so cute that way."

Nicholas nudged him and whispers, "Just accept the complement, buddy!"

Aaron knows his friend`s right, taking an advice from his friend. Aaron ignores his anxiety and responded, "Thanks, Flurry. And You...uhmm..."

"I what?! Go ahead." Flurry said to him. Aaron never told her how beautiful she looks and other types of compliments.

Aaron took a deep breathe and sighes, "Flurry, you...Look...beautiful today. You look absolutely beautiful!"

Shocked by what he said to him, Flurry smiles with slight joy and said, "Awww, Aaron!" And she leaps up and hugs him. "Thank you!"

Aaron, shocked by her response and continues to ignore his anxiety, hugs her. "N-no problem, F-Flurry Heart!"

"Aaron," Flurry sighs, as she gave him a peck on his cheek and said, "Thank you, that means a lot to me! I never was called like this. But you, said that I looked beautiful. That`s the first time anyone or anypony said that to me."

Aaron, shocked by her giving him a kiss, ignores his anxiety and smiles, with his face covered with blush. He felt happy of making the princess happy by say something kind to her.

Prism Bolt then nods with a wink to Aaron, "You`re one lucky guy, Aaron! Getting a kiss from our princess here!"

"No kidding!" Aaron replies, as he turns back to Princess Flurry Heart giggles.

Aaron then said to her, "Well, Im happy to make you happy. I dont want you to be sad or whatever, itll make me felt the same way, and Im welling to do anything what I can to help. And I want you to be happy, Flurry!"

"Aww." Flurry sighs, "You`re such a sweet human, thank you."

Aaron blushes a little, and looks down onto his watch, seeing it`s been past eighteen minutes, 7:21 in the morning.

Aaron nods with holding the princess`s hands, "We gotta get going!"

"Okay, nice seeing you, Aaron and Nicholas! Take care now." Flurry smiles warmly to them, as Aaron lets her go, and turns to Nicholas to get ready to head back home.

"Good to see you, darlings!" Rarity waves and winked.

"Take care, guys!" Rainbow nods with peace sign to them.

"Alright, girls!" The boys responds, as Aaron bows to Flurry and said, "Hope you have a wonderful day, Princess Flurry!"

As they about to jog back home, Aaron turns back to see Flurry Heart blows him a kiss, and he waves and smiles to her. Flurry then opens her wings and flew up. They proceed to head back home, and Aaron let out a yell, "YAAAAAHHHOOOWWW!!!"

Hearing him, Flurry Heart giggles and said to herself, "Hope you enjoy your day, Aaron." Watching Aaron and Nicholas disappeared, she had to admit to herself that she had a crushing on him as well, for Aaron`s acts of kindness and his good-hearted nature.

Prism Bolt turns to her and asks her, "So, does that mean he`ll be your boyfriend or something?"

Flurry sighs calmly, "Maybe. I really do admit to think hes not only kind and sweet, but hes kinda cute! And I do hope that we can be someday, as I would believe."

Claire yells at her, "I heard that, Flurry darling!"

Flurry stutters, "Wha-! I mean, only time can tell for who`s gonna be his special somepony or someone!" Crystal Claire and Prism Bolt laughs, as they head back to the castle to meet up with their friends.

Twilight places her hand onto her shoulder and smiles. She said to her niece, "It`s fine, Flurry. If you have something about liking Aaron, just admit to him. He sure does have a very kind heart, like you mentioned. And he truly cares for anypony around us, like your dad, mom, and I."

Flurry nods her head, smiling. "Okay, Aunt Twilight." They share a hug. Until Prism felt her stomach growled. "Now, let`s head back to the castle!" Prism frowns, "Breakfast might be ready by now!"

Up in the skies; about seven miles and closing to Canterlot, Albireo Squadron, led by Shadow Blade, flies low altitude (2,000 feet) to get ready to engage ground targets.

Seeing Canterlot on radar, Shadow spots military forces in and around the city. "Alright, Albireo!" He calls to his squadron, "It`s time to show no mercy on those arrogant S.O.Bs! All weapons on and Engage at will!"

"Roger!" His wingman complies, as they fan out to engage enemy targets.

"Dimitri, stay on my wing in case if there`s any enemy fighters out there!" Shadow calls to his wingman, as he replied, "Roger that, comrade!"

Shadow looks down towards Canterlot, smiling evily with pride as he thought of giving Celestia a message. 'Its war, Celestia!' He thought with hatred, 'Its war from the time my family passed!'

As they arrived home, they see a military transport trucks coming through their lane, and they moved aside to let them pass as they walk up the door.

However, the trucks stop across the street in front of the neighbors` house, and troops dismounted the trucks. This brings concern to Nicholas and Aaron, as they looked at each other.

"Whats going on here?" Aaron asks his friend, as Nicholas response was, "I dont know."

The soldier turns to the boys and asks, "Where are you two heading?"

"Were about to go inside the house, whats going on, sir?" Nicholas asks the soldier, as he and Aaron enters their house for a moment, but want to know what`s going on.

The soldier said to them, "You guys need to pack up and get everyone out of the house, ASAP! We`re being attacked by Lendian forces along with Belka and Erusea!"

Hearing this, the boys immediately ran into their house, calls the manager and informs him that the military is here to evacuate, giving him details. After they warned him, they race upstairs to their rooms and pack up their clothes, wallets, and their iPods and cell phones.

They raced outside to abandon the orphanage, and sees the line of anthro ponies scared, and horrified of the attack coming from the enemy`s side.

Among them anthro ponies is a unicorn mare Minuette. She turns to Nicholas and Aaron and asks, "What`s going on, here?"

As they`re about to give an answer, they hear roaring noise overhead. They look up to the skies, and saw two SU-35s soaring above.

The soldier then yells, "EVERYONE, TAKE COVER! WE`RE UNDER ATTACK!!" He then pulls the rifle out and points upward to the skies from the incoming fighter jets from enemy forces.

The soldier then orders, "GET EVERYONE OUT OF HERE!! NOW!" The other soldier shouted, "MOVE QUICKLY, EVERYONE!"

Fearing for the attack, the Anthro ponies did as they were told, as they jump onto the transports. The Manager yells at Nicholas and Aaron, "Boys! Get in!"

Nicholas and Aaron jumps up to the truck where the manager is on. Minuette and here friends got on the truck with the boys and their manager, and the soldier climbs on board and checks if that`s everyone/everypony.

"Are we missing anyone?!" The soldier asked the passengers, as they nods their heads 'no', and he calls out the driver of the transport truck, "Okay! Were good, lets get the hell out of here!"

The truck takes off. As they drove away from the house that Nicholas and Aaron live with the manager, the house suddenly got bombed from the jet`s missile, killing the others behind them. They watch in horror, seeing that they got caught on fire and shrapnel cuts through them.

"Did...Did you guys...See that?!" Twinkleshine, Minuettes friend, mumbles with horror. Nicholas then sighes, "Its war."

"What?!" The group shuns, looking at him. Nicholas stood up and replied with anger, and in same time, horror expression, "It`s the beginning of the war! On Equestrian soil!"

Up in the skies, Shadow Blade watches his teammates bombing the hell out of Canterlot along with military forces, giving an evil and crazed smile.

He then calls out, "Alright, Albireo 3 through 6! Continue pound at them, and leave nothing there with the allied forces down there!"

"Copy that!" They complies, as they continue to target any military presence in and around the city.

Shadow turns to his wingman and said, "Dimitri, I want you to follow me! We`ll find any fighters and hunt them down one by one!"

"Roger, Albireo lead!" He replies, as he stick to his flight lead to find any allied fighter jets to shoot down.

As the two pilots looks onto their radars, Dimitri spoted five fighters (four F-16s and one F-15E) on his radar. "Shadow!" He calls his flight lead, "I picked up five fighters heading towards our squadron attacking the city in low altitude, in vector 091!"

"Lets show them what were made of, Dimitri!" He responds and grins, "If they bail out, shoot at the pilots, make sure they don`t get out of this alive!"

"Roger that, sir!" Dimitri complies, as they turned towards the fighters attacking their comrades, engaging in a two versus five dogfight.

The pilot in the F-15E looks up and spots two hostile fighter jets heading towards them. The pilot looks at the Typhoon, and realizes that it`s the ace of Erusean Air Force, Schnitter.

"Incoming!" He calls out to his allied pilots, "The Schnitter`s here! Becareful!"

"Roger!" They replies, as they get ready for the toughest dogfight, against Shadow Blade and his wingman Dimitri.

At the air base three miles from Canterlot; is where ISAF and Osean forces were based at. The base commander, Brigadier General Richard Cowens, calls for evacuation of Canterlot and hears reports that his forces are overwhelmed by the enemy.

"Call in reinforcements!" Cowens said in a commanding voice, "We can`t let the enemy cause anymore damage out their in Canterlot!"

"Y-Yes sir!" Said the base second in command, Lieutenant Colonel Akari Shani.

Cowen asks, "What`s the status report of the evacuation?"

"Sir, we got word that Princesses Luna, Celestia, and Twilight Sparkle had already heading towards our base while flying!" Shani reported and added, "We`re also reporting four of the transport vehicles carrying civilians are heading towards our base at the entrance!"

"Okay!" The base commander complies, "We have to hold out until more of our allied planes heads out!"

"YES SIR!" The staff base members saluted, as they scramble to get things organized and make room for the civilians.

As they arrived at the air base, the transport trucks pulls in front at the main hall of the air base. Soldier jumps out of the truck and orders, "Okay! Everyone or pony out of the truck! Get in the building and follow our instructions!"

As they did as they were told, anthro ponies and others jump out of the truck and runs into the base hall. They grab their luggage and stuff as they enter the building.

Nicholas and Aaron follows the manager into the building as they carry their luggages. They seen that the base hall is clearly look like a gymnasium area.

Looking around, Aaron and Nicholas sees Shining Armor and Gleaming Shield with Twilight`s parents. They ran up to them.

"Shining Armor!" Nicholas calls him, as Shining Armor turns to him and asks him, "Is everypony okay, Nick? What about you and your brother?"

"Were fine." He replies, "Its the beginning of the war on our soil!"

Gleaming Shield hugs him and lets go of him, showing relief but concerned expression. "Who`s attacking us?" She asked him.

Aaron then answered, "I believe it`s the Belkans and the Eruseans!"

"WHAT!!" The group looks at Aaron, realizing that it was the enemy forces. Nicholas said, "And I also think that it was Lendian forces as well!"

The crowd looks at them and Fleur Dis Lee said, "So it seems to be a surprise attack, right?"

"I don't know," Twinkleshine nods as she shrugs her shoulders. "I heard that they`re planning to invade us within a week or so."

Nicholas looks around, and sees a base staff member and hears that he was talking to someone on the radio. The base staffer then shuns, "What? We cant send fighters out that time, and rely on base defenses?! Thats insane! We need fighters up there, ASAP!" Hearing this, Nicholas realizes something`s up.

Nicholas walks up to him. The base staff looks at Nicholas and asks, "May I help you, kid?"

Nicholas then asks him, "Do you know where`s the base commander?"

The staffer replies, "Hes busy now! Just dont worry about it." He then ask him, "What`s you name kid?"

Nicholas then responds with an attention and salute to him. "My name is Nicholas Ivanson, sir!"

The staffer then smiles at him and replies, "Nice meeting you, Nick!" As he was about to tell him to relax, he suddenly had a thought, realizing that Nicholas had a father served in the Second Usean Continental War.

The Staffer looks at him and asked, "You had a father who fought in a war with ISAF years ago, kid?"

"Yes sir! I do." Nicholas nods his head, as the staffer then acknowledged to him, "Come with me!"

The staffer and Nicholas walks out of the room, down the hallway. Nicholas looks at him and asks, "So, you know my dad?"

"Yes, son. I do!" The staffer answers, and said, "We`re heading to talk with the base commander."

"Okay." Nicholas sighs, as he follows the staff member to meet with the base commander and want to know what`s going on.
