*An alternate Universe after the end of the Pokemon XYZ series, and the future Sun and Moon series….*

Ash Ketchum. The lone and depressed champion of a region from the future.
As the last remaining Champion of the Pokemon world, Ash Ketchum has come to visit Equestria to keep his mind off of accidents that happened years ago.
5 years ago, Pikachu had been taken by Yveltal. 3 years ago, Ash-Greninja had died saving the world from Team Flare and evil-induced Zygaurd. Right before Greninja saved the world, the Land's wrath from Zygaurd spread throughout the Pokemon world and took out at least half of the Pokemon and Human population. It even killed all of Ash's Pokemon (except some of their children and girlfriends), then it destroyed Professor Oak's laboratory… To even have any more Pokemon, Ash's friends had to send their Pokemon or their Pokemon's children. Some legendaries and Mythical Pokemon have volunteered to be replacements as well. Ash is now like N, vowing to never battle again…except when it is necessary. Ash hasn't had any joy in his heart since then, even after he started to return Serena's love….
Now, a 16-year-old Champion Ash finds himself depressed and lonely, even amidst all of the legendary and mythical Pokemon; as well as the children and girlfriends of his Pokemon. For Ash, nothing can ever replace the Pokemon that he lost. The whole of the Pokemon world has been saved, so Ash isn't needed much anymore. For protection, there are now more Rangers, Legendaries, and Police around to save everyone.
Our hero doesn't know what to do with his life, so he turns to Princess Celestia for help, but does not cheer up. The boyfriend who Serena had chased, loved, and was going to marry someday was now almost lifeless and never cheerful. Serena keeps trying every day to cheer him up, but to no avail - not even Ash's quotes or new memories with his new Pokemon will make him smile longer than a minute.
Later, when Gen 1 Mewtwo finds a Mewtwonite X Mega stone, he mega evolves and battles the Gen 6 Mega Mewtwo Y. Even though the legendary couple meant well, the battle gets out-of-hand, and Ash is once again hit by Mewtwo's Psychic attack - the same attack that had killed him in the First Movie…except stronger. The lack of Xerneus being in Equestria, and Pikachu's love from his tears might make another accidental attack from Mewtwo fatal for her boyfriend.
