After the meeting ended, Angel and Nightshade decided to discuss the details of the dragons moving into Equestria, hoping it would distract them from the difficult talk they had. While they went to Pyrite’s cave, a feeling of worry began to bug Nightshade, although she had dealt with Blueblood and his unfair attitude towards other citizens, this somehow felt different to her. But knowing that business came first, she put away her worried feelings for the time being and focused on Pyrite and his kind. Soon after they arrived, Pyrite began to explain the dangers of letting ten dragons in to Equestria at once, and instead offered a more reasonable alternative: two dragons would be let it and then watched. And the more they chatted about it, the better it sounded, and they told Pyrite that he had to go back home to his kind with two guards to tell them the news, and he obliged, telling them that he needed a day to fully prepare. When the sisters got back to the castle, they were met with an uproar of chatter and noise outside of the castle, and they both galloped towards the balcony that overlooked the city.
“yes yes, I know you all must be upset about this, but it really is the best way for you to live in Equestria,”
Blueblood said to the now fuming crowd, and Nightshade didn't hesitate to pull him out of sight to give him a firm talking to,
“what the hell do you think you think you're doing?!”
Nightshade said, in pure outrage, as Angel tried to calm down the crowd.
“I just told them that they all had to go through a proper inspection before they can live in Equestria, it really is the best way to understand how safe these ruffians are,”
Blueblood practically announced, tossing a part of his mane aside with a quick movement of his head,
“no, it definitely is not, especially since we already did all that the first time they were let it, we spent so many long days and weeks trying to make this as peaceful as possible and you can't just butcher it like this,”
He just smirked, and lifted a hoof to pat her head.
“can't I? I am the one who was in charge of this department in the first place, you merely walked in and screwed things up while I was away,”
He was about to go back to the balcony when Nightshade stopped him with her magic,
“we stopped dozens of possible wars from happening, you are no longer relevant, now go and do something that doesn't tear a rift in the harmony we tried to so hard to make possible,”
Nightshade said, before walking on to the balcony with her sister, reassuring the crowd that it was a mistake. All while Prince Blueblood stared at them with a growing rage, before turning his snout up and walking away,
“I will get my place back, just wait and see, a tiny royal like you will never truly have the respect I have,”
As he said this, he passed Metamorph, on his way to the balcony,
“I'm sorry what?”
He said as he stopped in place and looked at him with with slight shock and confusion, and almost instantly, Blueblood turned around to tell him to mind his own business. But the moment his eyes fell on his dark and bug-like figure, the words seemed to escape him.
“it's none of your business creature, why don't you tell my cousin to let me do my job again?!”
Metamorph just glared at him slightly.
“because she's obviously doing a better job at it than you, plus she's much nicer than you are when talking to regular citizens and possible allies, maybe you should learn something from her rather than hate her,”
With that, he turned his attention back to the balcony and kept on walking, leaving Blueblood alone in a moment of shock, as his jaw dropped from being talked to in such a rude way, let alone by a changeling.
