“I don't see what the big deal is; he's not even that tough, let alone respectful,”

Nightshade paced around her room, quickly putting on her respectable regalia, in front of her sister and colt-friend. And although Metamorph was equally worried, he tried his best not to show it,

“just be nice and you'll be fine, he doesn't have enough balls to challenge you and he knows it,”

Angel said, reassuring her stressed sister, and as Nightshade slid on her dark necklace she turned to a mirror and fixed her mane. Angel got up and walked over to help her, and Nightshade sighed as she did,

“I broke the laws he imposed ever since we became Celestia’s external voice, what if he tries to change things back to how they are?”

Angel lifted her head and she stared into the mirror.

“you may not see it, but I see a brave mare larger than life, bold and as strong as the night is dark. If he questions you I will be there, all I can ask is the same trust and dedication from you,”

Nightshade nodded and took a deep breath before putting on a fierce face, and they all left the room to go to the castle's main entrance, proud and determined. When they got there a group of six guards and the princesses themselves joined them, and moments after they arrived the castle doors opened, and Prince blueblood strutted in. His guards looked strong but annoyed, and Nightshade stepped a little closer to Metamorph.

“finally, I wondered how long it would take to get back home, and I have some concerns about what I've seen on my way back,”

The other guards welcomed each other and brought them to their barracks, while Blueblood made his way to the princesses.

“and I must say, I was disgusted with the amount of peasants I had to ride with on the way here,”

When he finally opened his eyes he gasped, jumping back and moving to the side,

“what in Equestria is that thing doing here!”

he has a name, you are in no position to offend or judge him either,”

Nightshade said, as she stepped out of line and closer to him,

“furthermore, we have a lot to discuss about the details of what happened in your absence, so let's not waste time here,”

Without another word, she turned and made her way to the main hall with Metamorph and Angel close behind. Reluctantly he followed, as well as Celestia and Luna, as they shared worried and questionable faces. When they got there, they took their seats and Metamorph tried not to stare at Blueblood,

“so, explain what you're doing with that creature in the castle, and why is Canterlot crawling with weird ponies?!”

Nightshade flinched, and Metamorph had to hold her hoof to keep her calm.

“to give you the short answer, Equestria has had an increase in citizens, and due to that newer more diverse alliances had to be made. Metamorph, just happens to be one of them,”

Blueblood leaned in a bit and stared at her.

“why do your eyes look like that? Did any of the creatures do that to you?”

Nightshade stood up, slamming her hooves on the table,

“they are not creatures damn it! They are citizens, peaceful and hardworking citizens, and you have no say in the matter because you have not been here for the last 8 months!”

Metamorph put a hoof on her back, and after looking at him she sat back down.

“I'm sorry if this change displeases you, but it has been working for us: it's offered education, food, jobs and proper homes to us and many others, if anything, you should be thanking Nightshade for being so proactive and passionate”

Metamorph said, as Blueblood physically calmed down, and once again looked irritated with his presence,

“can my cousin and I discuss the details alone please?”

The princesses nodded and Metamorph gave Nightshade a quick peck on the cheek before walking out, leaving Nightshade, Angel and Blueblood alone.

“now, please explain to me what happened,”

Blueblood said, in a more relaxed tone.

“we traveled to two different places first, we got the changelings to trust us, and after that, we got a vampire horde to trust us as well,”

Angel began,

“after a couple months of dealing with complaints and confusion, we kept bringing in both groups gradually until they were properly spread across Equestria, and then the Griffins decided to join the trust and equality we had set into motion,”

Nightshade said short after her sister,

“only recently have we made a connection with a few dragons from out of Equestria, but we are being careful with this one the most,”

Angel finished, making their cousin take a moment to think before leaning over the table to stare at them.

“you teamed up to overthrow my rules: no external affairs without consent and consulting us, no decision making without talking to the external affairs consultant, and last but not least; no going behind the mobile dignitary’s back when welcoming potentially dangerous creatures on to our land! Do you know how much damage you could have done by doing this?”

He reared up and was now leaning over the table, which didn't faze the twins in the slightest,

“we had many complaints and had to talk to all the vampire ponies a second time, we were aware of the risks but didn't want to have any more attacks by these citizens ever again. I was attacked once but that has been the only time I had to truly defend myself, and as of now, your opinion means nothing,”

Blueblood glared at her before turning his snout up, and pouting as he began to strut out of the room.

“suit yourself, but I am still in charge of foreign affairs,”

After he said that he walked out of the main hall and began to walk away, and Nightshade groaned in annoyance before looking to her sister and seeing her smile,

“we can handle this, we've been handling it for so long anyways,”

She rested a hoof on Nightshade's back, before pulling her into a comforting hug.
