Vengeance at nightfall
chapter 43 regret

The days prior to the deed were rather slow, Nightshade had been trying to get the mistake she had made out of her head. Avoiding 32 proved to be more helpful, since he would follow her around a lot she had to always be one step ahead of him. After about 4 days he began to get more smart: whenever she teleported away from him he would always check her favourite places to hide, and if she managed to get away from him without magic he would turn himself into a Pegasus so following her was easier for him. It drove nightshade mad with annoyance, feeling trapped once again, she wished he would try to spend as much time as he spent following her with her sister instead. When she had given up on running from him she went to the Canterlot gardens, lying down in front Luna's flower patch. She extended her wings and laid them in the grass, lazily glancing over the partially budding bulbs.
“you move quickly when you want to, I hardly kept up with you,”
32 huffed, panting as he trotted towards her, but she didn't acknowledge him, just staring into the flowers.
“hey, are you feeling alright? You're not still upset with me are you?”
He said, laying down near her, and she just moved away from him and plopped back down.
“I made a mistake with you, I'm not your friend and I'm not your fuck buddy so leave me alone,”
32 frowned, and moved closer to her, gently touching her back with a hoof.
“princess I-”
Before he could finish what he was saying she turned her head and hissed at him like a dragon, making him recoil in fear as she moved further away from him and used her wings to shield her body and face.
“go bug my sister, at least she'd appreciate your services more than I did,”
32 stood up, and began to walk away, but stopped, remembering that she couldn't hurt him, even if she really wanted to.
“I'm afraid I can't, I was sent to please you whenever you need it, and I figured that I could do it easier if I was around you often enough. And I'm sorry if you don't like it, but I simply cannot leave you alone in this state,”
He strolled back over to her, and moved to stand over her,
“I was ordered by my Queen remember, and she's my ruler, not you.”
In one swift movement, Nightshade rolled over and bucked him in the jaw, throwing him back a fair distance away from her. And she quickly clambered to her hooves and took off, flying to Pyrite’s cave and leaving a very unhappy 32 behind, with a now bleeding muzzle.
