"Rainbow Dash," Doctor Redheart said trotting up to the young mare. She turned, and he nearly fainted. He remembered the first time he saw her. With her torn ear, metal wing, and scared eye, she was scarred for life. She growled at him, the time in the War had made her teeth pointed and sharp, like a Timber Wolf's.

"General Dash!" She snapped. Redheart stepped back, suddenly scared of her. But she wouldn't hurt or attack anyone as long as she believed they weren't the enemy.

"General Dash, you know the war is.. um.....over, right?" Redheart tried to explain. The General rolled her eyes and walked back over to window. The War had ended two years ago. But she did not believe that. The doctors tried to explain to her, but she trusted nopony. Only Redheart.

"Not for me, never for me. It will always haunt me." the General said. "The War has taken too much from me that I can't forget it." her eyes staring blankly at the window. He sighed. At least he tried.

"Well, we brought a friend for you." Rainbow snapped her head to look at him. She growled at him.

"I hate friends! What use are they in the War?!" She snapped. Redheart sighed.

"Come on in." He said getting out of the way of the doorway. A light blue stallion appeared. His wings were folded and clam, but when he saw her they sprang up with fear and surprise.

"This... Is Sorain Skies, a volunteer. He will be your friend. I will come back in twenty minutes. And General," Dash stared at him. "Please try." She looked away. Then he walked out closing the door behind him, leaving him alone with a War Soldier. He studied her. Her tense shoulders and wings made it hard for him to relax.

"Oh, please." She said. He looked at her. Trying to find something friendly or kind, but everything was scarred or battle struck. "I know I'm not a pretty sight. I know I'm not what I use to be. But please, don't look at me like a monster. The War is still going on, they all try to have me fixed, whatever that means, but there is no reason for somepony to look at me like that." She said. When the Doctor said he was going to help with a War Soldier, he didn't think she would be this bad.

"Ughmmmm." He managed. She looked at him. No pain, no happiness, nothing, no emotion were in her eyes. Only disappointed.

"As I thought. You can sit over there. I'll be at the window." She said walking over to the window. Wait, what? Crap! He made the wrong impression! He surged forward and accidentally grabbed her nonmetal wing. She spun around, her battle training kicking in. Pinning him to the ground. She rasied a hoof to finish off her enemy, but then her vision cleared and she saw her 'friend' pinned to the ground, shaking in fear.

"Sorry." She said climbing off of him. He got up.

"I'm sorry." She froze. "I'm sorry I touched your wing, I didn't expect it to be so sensitive. But I guess it has to be now, so you don't lose it." Was he talking to me without fear? Who is he?

"It's fine." She said. Staring out of the window, watching all the Cloudsdale ponies come in and out of the Hospital.

"My name is Sorain Skies, but you can call me Sorain, Rainbow." Rainbow tensed.

"Call. Me. General or Dash if you must." She said. Then her back detensed and she relaxed. He smiled and walked over to her sitting down next to her.

"Watch'ca doing?" He asked. She glanced at him, then back out the window.

"This is my only escape to the outside world. And my only way to see all my enemies." She replied. Sorain bit his lip trying not laugh.

"Aren't I an enemy?" He asked. She didn't even look up.

"Redheart introduced you to me, which means your have an alliance with Redheart, who has an alliance with me." He smiled, he was kinda getting how her brain worked.

"Sooo, Dash, where are your family? Your personal alliances?" He asked. She paused. Her eyes flickered.

"I-I forget. I'll remember is waking up in a battlefield. The War is my family. The Soldiers tried to help me remember, but......nothing. I know nothing else, other than the War and this Hospital." Sorain stared at her in disbelief.

"You've never been out of this Hospital in two years?!" Dash shook her head.

"Haven't been out of this room in two years, they keep me here. Like a prisoner, like.... Like I'm a hostage. Only pony that I talk to are the doctors, but all of them keep their distance." She said. That's why she like the window she's trying to taste the freedom she doesn't have. He opened his mouth to speak but she continued.

"They tried to convince me to get my old friends and family down here, but I don't know how they can get my War family down here." She truly didn't know anything about family. She only knew how to fight, survive, and kill.

"Dash, I can help you. Please let me help you." He begged. She tore her eyes away from the window to look at him.

"But I'm a monster. Everypony who sees me says so." She said. She heard though the door, another voulteer was going to help her before Sorain, but he asked for her picture first. When he saw her picture, he screamed 'I don't want to trapped alone in a room with that......thing?! Are you Crazy? It's a monster!' Sorain smiled.

"Not to me." He replied. She looked at him 'he just be lying, but what does he get from that?' she thought.

"Fine, you can help." Then she looked back at the window.
