Sorain paced up and down, in front of Rainbow Dash's -General Dash, whatever!- door. It was two weeks since he met her, and every day he would go and talk to her for an hour, then leave. Three days ago, he had asked the doctors about what he planed. They said that in three days they would tell him their answer. What is they said no? Would Dash be mad? Would if they said yes? What would he do then? He started to pace faster.

"Sorain! Stop pacing! Your giving me a headache!" Spitfire said, she was sitting in a chair in the opposite side of the hallway. Spitfire was his best friend since his colthood. She hadn't met Rainbow, but she said 'I you're going to help her, I'm going to be with you every hoof-step of the way!'. Someponies thought they were dating, but it would be like dating your own sister! Yuck!

Besides this a Soraindash fanfic, not a SorainxSpitfire fanfic. I don't know that name. Sorry for interrupting, your annoying author, Firelight. P.S did I forget to mention that this is in Cloudsdale?

"Sorain Skies?" Sorain looked up to see a light yellow mare pegasus with a light pink mane standing in front of him, her mane was twisty and curly. She held in her wing a clipboard, and was scribble things down. She wore a doctor's coat, too.

"That's me." He said. She looked up with her unimpressed turquoise eyes. Then glanced back down and checked something off. She put her clipboard and pencil under her wing, and turned around.

"Follow me, Mr. Skies." Spitfire leaped from the chair.

"What about me? Can't I come?" She demanded. Spitfire also had been in the War, but had to come home early, because she had this really nasty illness. Everypony called her a coward, that's she was a fake. But Sorain saw her, her mane was wet and dull, her forehead beaded with sweat. Her face green and pale. And when she tried to speak........it was like a frog gave birth I'm her throat. She looked up at Spitfire.

"And you are........" She asked.

"Spitfire, Spitfire Lightning." She said. Sorain giggled a bit as she said her full name. She glared at him. The yellow pegasus didn't notice.

"Hmmmmm, nope, I'm sorry you are not on the list!" She said.

"What?!" She snapped stepping forward. I had to get step in before this got ugly. I stepped forward,

"Look, Spitfire, I'll tell you everything later. Okay, just......hum...." I stumbled with something she could do while she waited. Then inspiration struck. "You can ask the doctors to tell you more about the General!" I said. She rolled her eyes.

"Whatever." She said walking back, to her seat and sitting down.

"Come along, Mr. Skies." The doctor said. Spitfire rolled her eyes.

"Okay." He said following her.

A few minutes later they later, they arrived at a two large metal doors.

"Here you go. Redheart, Sick Vain, and Nurse Warmheart are inside." She said about to walk off, when I realized I didn't get her name.

"Hey! What's your name? I didn't catch it." He asked. She looked at him.

"You call me Ms. Shy." She said then she walked away. He stared after her, then gulped and walked threw the door.

"Ah! Sorain! We were waiting for you." Redheart said stepping back, then room was small like type you go to for your normal checkup. The two other Pegasi were standing behind him. One was a bright purple, and the other a light yellow. These must be Sick Vain and Nurse Warmheart.

"We have we have discussed this over and over, and finally agreed." Nurse Warmheart said, her light green coat matching her light yellow mane.

"Yes?" Sorain said with anticipation. He was so nervous. What have they decided?!

"We've agreed that, Rainbow Jennifer Dash, can stay with you and learn about modern times, and how to be civil, but be warned you only have two years." Sorain's heart pounded as Sick Vain, said those words. She was going to stay with him and learn.

"Thank you!" He said. He smiled.

"But, if she doesn't learn and isn't able to enter modern society in two years, we will be placing her in a mental facility. And that's where she'll be spending the rest of her days." Sorain didn't believe what was stake. But he was going to try!

"When will I be able to bring her home?" He asked. His home, will be her home for two years so he may as well start saying that now. Sick Vain walked over to him and placed a hoof on his shoulder.

"Your two years begin tonight." She said. He opened and closed his mouth, tonight? Wow. They were ready for her to just leave!

"I'll bring her home tonight, then." He said. He glad he pick up his house now. Doctor Redheart smiled and nodded.

"Return to Ms. Dash's room and you can take her home." He said home very uncomfortably. "And when you go, go to the front office and ask for her medicine, just in case she..... You know attacks somepony, they'll calm her down." He said. Then he nodded towards the door.

"You may go now." He said. Sorain walked back in silence. When he rounded the last corner, he saw Spitfire talking to a doctor.

"So, shes how old?" She asked the doctor. He had a light grey coat with a dark blue mane that dangled in front of his eyes.

"We don't know." Spitfire looked confused.

"Don't you know who she was before she forgot?" She asked. Sorain leaned on the corner not wanted in intrude on their conversation.

"Well we did, but we gave them to her to see if we could jog her memory, but when we came back to check on her. Well......we saw that she burned the information. 'If this knowledge gets into the enemy hooves, we could lose this war.' was all she said." the doctor shook his head. "That was the only thing that we knew about her past.....and she burned it" he said. Sorain trotted forward. Spitfire saw him and blushed.

"Fine. You were right, this Rainbow Dash is quite interesting." She said walking over to him. "So? What did they say?" She asked. So he told her. She smiled.

"Wow. Tonight?" Sorain nodded. "I can't wait to meet her, but they did show me a picture of what has looked like before the War, they said that it was the only thing they could salvage from the fire." She said pulling out a burned picture. A baby blue mare with a rainbow mane was in the photo, she was smiling. Her magenta eyes filled with love and happiness, she had both her wings, too. One corner of the image was burned all the way, but it must of had her birthday, age and name, cause all that was visible was:
Rainbow Jennifer Dash, Age:

He stared at the picture, she wasn't just pretty, she was frickin beautiful, which was probably why she wanted to go to the war. To get some scars to lower her prettiness, she must of had a dozens marriage proposals or a million date offers, maybe she wanted to get away from all of that. It would make sense.

"I know right? She's beautiful. I kinda want to meet her now." Sorain sighed as Spitfire put away the picture. But he said nothing as he walked to her door. He opened the door. Dash was sitting in her spot. At the window. She looked up when she heard the door opening.

"Dash?" She stared at him.

"You're late." She commented, he smiled.

"Oops. Dash, come here." He said. She looked at him suddenly wariy, what was he planning? But she walked over to him, anyway.

"You are coming home with me." He said. She studied his face. So full of hope. But what did that mean?

"Home?" She asked. Sorain smiled, not understand that she didn't know what a home is.

"Yup! Home." He said. She was baffled, what was a home? She'll have to get her answer later.

"With........ you?" She asked. It wasn't like she didn't enjoy their daily chats. But she didn't think he would go through with his promise to help her understand, and learn. Whatever that means. He smiled.

"Yup!" He said. "We'll be walking home with my alliance, Spitfire. General, meet Spitfire. Spitfire meet General." He moved to the side of the doorway so the two mares could see each other. Rainbow backed up so fast that she tripped over herself. She hadn't seen a mare since the War, and most of the other soldiers were stallions, so many of the mares she saw were her enemy. So she didn't know why Sorain would have an alliance with one. Spitfire looked at her. She looked nothing like the beauty in the picture. She wondered why she was shaking on the ground.

"S-s-s- Sorain! She's an enemy!" She managed to get out. Sorain walked over to her calmly and sat down next to her.

"Not all mares are enemies, just like how not all stallions are enemies either." He told her. She looked at him. Then her eyes turned cold and hard. She got up and brushed herself off. Like nothing happened.

"I knew that!" She snapped. "So where is home?" She asked. Sorain looked at her.

"It can't be in this room......but the doctors that I heard outside said that this would be my last night here...... Is that what home it? A death wish? Is she here to kill me? Because you won't take me alive!" 'stupid! Dash! Stupid! You shouldn't of said won't take me alive! They'll just kill me now!' she thought as she dropped into a defense crouch. She glared at him. He betrayed me.

"No! Dash! Home is....ughm. Home is.....home?" He said. Honestly he didn't know how to describe home. Luckily Spitfire stepped forward, to help.

"General, home isn't a death wish. Home is someplace where you feel loved and safe. Most ponies refer home as the place they live, but others say home is where the heart is. And I don't mean like in your chest!" She quickly said as Dash put a hoof on her heart like she was trying to protect it. Dash lowered her hoof. She stood and walked over to Spitfire.

"Have we met before?" She asked. Spitfire took this question by surprise. Her ears went back as the small General stared at her.

"Wha? Waht? I-I don't know, have we?" She asked confused. Rainbow stared harder. Spitfire didn't want to break her stare, Sorain said that she got angry or she would attack if you did the wrong thing. But it was hard to look at her. Her bangs covered one of her eyes, the scar on the other -she noticed- cut threw her eyelid so when she blinked she could still see Spitfire. Her ear was ripped and shredded. And Spitfire could only imagine what she looked like when it was dripping with blood, her eyes filled with rage. Her good nonmetal wing feathers were puffed out, and molting. Most likely from not flying for two years. Her metal wing was hard like iron, maybe it was for show, maybe she could actually use it. Whatever the case if she tried to run, Dash would easily catch up with her. She could put all her speed and strength into her nonmetal wing and will the metal wing to work. Of course there was the possibility that the metal wing is old and rusty. But it wasn't likely, she probably cleaned it out every night.

"Spitfire, I'll remember." She said getting out of her face. Spitfire breathed out in relief. "So, Sorain. When will we leave?" She asked trotting over to Sorain.

"Right now." He said walking towards the door. Dash's ears perked up.

"You mean outside?! Out in the Warzone?!" She asked. Sorain nodded. She looked like she was going to explode from happiness. But then she closed her eyes, breathed in and out, then opened them. "That is satisfactory." She said in a flat voice.

"Well come on then!" He said trotting out the door. Rainbow edged toward the doorway. Spitfire looked at her.

"Are you okay?" She asked. Dash looked at her.

"I have been out of order for two years now. And I'm finally going back out into the field. I'm taking my cautions." She defended herself. The truth was she was scared that she was out of order for too long, that as soon as she gets out there, bad thing will happen.

"Well come on then. Unless you don't want to go?" She said. 'Reverse psychology, always works.' Spitfire thought as Dash looked at her puffed and trotted out the door with confidence.
