Colten's Journalby TheLooneyTurtleChaptersEntry 2Entry 3Entry 4Entry 1Entry 2I suppose that I have yet to give a face to these ramblings, so if you'll humor me for a moment I will introduce myself. My name is Colten and I have lived in the old forest located on the outskirts of the self proclaimed "Unicorn tribe." My family is viewed as mongrels due to how my parents were born into different tribes. My Mother was born as a unicorn, while my Father was born as a Pegasus. With my magic I appear to have taken after my mother while my brother, side scope, was unfortunate enough to become an earth pony. Through the years my family has been forced to remain succeeded from the other tribes due to how they insist on maintaining the "Purity" of their families. If you so much as look at a member of the other tribes with a smile they seem to want you executed. My parent's were fortunate enough to evade such a fate but they have been forced to live in these woods ever since. It's an unfortunate position, but we live rather calm lives out in the wilderness. I will have to leave it at that for the moment, dinner is almost ready. Entry 3Today was a rather peculiar day. My Mother and I had decided to go to the unicorn tribe under the cover of one of her enchantments. Since my family is viewed as outcasts, my mother had to invent a spell that changes a ponies appearance. While in town we gathered some essentials but I inquired about a spell book. The shop keep was reasonable enough, so I bought it in the hopes that I may understand more about my abilities. On the way out I neglected to notice a rusty nale. That is, Until I stepped on it...or....at least...I thought I stepped on it. Upon further inspection, my hoof was undamaged. The nale, on the other hoof, appeared to have a fresh coat of blood on it. Perhaps some pony else stepped on it? I'm confident that I stepped on it but perhaps my imagination is running wild. Entry 4I dont know if I should conduct this test. Ever since my encounter in the city, I've been interested in testing to see if I was delusional or not. Perhaps a small cut? Just to find out if my body can still sustain damage? Well, this is contently unexpected...I took a knife to my hoof and made a small incision. As to be expected, I began to bled...but the cut healed in a matter of seconds. I wonder if starflare has experienced anything similar over the past couple of weeks....I'll have to ask him the next time I go to his home. Entry 1Today has certainly been an interesting day. Star flare and I were running through the old forest today.to my surprise (And horror) my friend fell into a hole before I had the chance to warn him. Curious of his well being, I walked to the side of the hole. Sadly the ground gave way and I was soon reunited with my fallen friend. sadly...there wasn't a way up, so we were forced to find another way to the surface. We headed towards what appeared to be a well lit cave and....for some reason I can't remember what happened. We came to we were back in the old forest only to find nothing around us. I tried to find the path we were running in but I couldn't find any evidence of the hole we had fallen into. Nightfall soon overcame the land leading us to return to our homes. I'm tempted to investigate tomorrow but I wanted to make sure I wrote this down while it's fresh in my mind. I have a feeling that there was more to this than us simply passing out in the middle of the old forest.
