Strange war

Chapter 6

We were on the choppers on the way to the main camp. All of the soldiers on our chooper were stareing at spitfire. Then i felt spitfire move and when i looked down she opened her eye slowly and looked up at me. I gave her a small smile and she just responded with a yawn. Then she looked at the other soldiers and immeditly pushed back against me in fear. I looked at the other soldiers and noticed that they were kinda creepy if they were stareing at her. Then the rest of the my squad that was on the chooper told them to look away. So they did.

"Um.....PFC.Jerry was it?" I looked down and saw that it was spitfire who talked to me. I smiled and noded to her telling her that she was right.

"Where are we going right now because....im a little scared right now because i dont know what will happen. Will you keep me safe if anything bad happens?" I was surprised that she was already this trustworthy to me but i guess she was since i was the only one helping her the best i could. I noded at her.

"Of course i will spitfire and to answer your question we're heading towards our main base where hopefully you will get better medical attention and get some food into you, and since you dont eat meat im sure they will have some apples or something that doesnt involve meat." She smiled and looked out the of the chooper and closed her eyes as the wind hit her face. We were closest to the entrace/exit to the chooper. I could tell she enjoyed the wind hitting her face telling me that she loved to fly.

Then i saw the main base in the distance. It was like a small town sort of. There was a medical building,entertainment building, etc. When we landed i let everyone else get out first. Cmdr.Earl was second to last one out. Not only was he our CO at bravo company base but also commanded our main base. He only arrived earlier that day before the attack happened. Then when i got out i could feel everyone looking at me, but mostly spitfire who was shakeing a little from fear in my arms. Me and Earl were heading towards the medical building first for spitfire.

We entered it and immediatly everyone was stareing at us. I ignored them carrying the now clearly shaking in my arms. "Hey its ok spitfire they are just...a little scared of what you are so just try and stay calm. Im sure they'll get used to you soon enough." She noded remembering what i tould her on the chopper.

"Hey cmdr.Earl um.....who is PFC.Jerry carrying or 'what' is he carrying?" Earl explained to him the whole situation of what happened from beging to end. The docter nodded.

"Oh ok well i guess since you seem to be ok with Jerry helping her out then i guess we can do our best. Espesialy since he stood up to you like that before the attack." He chuckled as he motioned me to a room where they would work on her. I walked in and place spitfire onto the bed that was at the end of the room. Thats when the same docter came in gloves, a small light,gloves,and some shots in his hands.

"Ok well my name is Sgt.Miller and im gonna be helping you today miss..."

"Spitfire...her names spitfire. She can talk its just well....sometimes she doesnt like to talk that much."

"Aw i see what you mean Jerry. Well ok im just gonna check on your condision ok spitfire?" She noded yes. Miller smiled as he got his flashlight and check her good eye first. Then he took off the bandage covering her bad eye which was healing really well. He checked that eye and concluded she didnt need the bandage anymore. Her eye basicly looked like it went back to normal.

"Ok now lets check on those wings you have." He removed the poor bandageing that was done on her wings which caused her to wince a little in pain. "Sorry about that. Ok well looks like they are just damaged a little bit but you shouldnt try and fly for a while ok?" She noded understanding what he said. Then he got out one of the shots and when spitfire saw that she nearly jumped off the bed. I got up and walked over to her and placed my hand on her hoof. That calmed her down a little bit.

"Alright sorry about this spitfire but im gonna have to give you this shot. Its suppose to get rid of any deseasis you might have ok? Im not gonna lie its gonna hurt a little bit."

"Where are you gonna have to give the shot Miller?" He pointed to her right shoulder. I nodded and looked at spitfire. "Ok spitfire he has to give you the shot in order to help you ok?" She looked at the needle then at me and nodded. She then huged me which i used to do when i was little with my dad when i got shots. That memory caused a chuckle from me but then i huged her back gently as if not to hurt her probely still soar wings. Miller taped his shot three times to get rid of air bubbles.

"Ok spit fire one...two....oh wait for got to rub her shoulder to make sure the shot wont infect her." That was a good idea i thought. He got the rubbing acohol and rubed where he was gonna inject the shot.

"Ok for real this time. One...two...three!" He then put the shot into her shoulder and injected the medicne. While spitfire yelped a little and huged me tighter. He was done in a matter of miliseconds of giveing her the shot. Then he got a bandade and put it on where he gave her the shot.

"Alrighty well looks like we're done here and if you want to know why i know so much about her is because im a vet back at home so consider yourselfs lucky for that." I noded being grateful that he was a vet back home. Then i remembered something i have been meaning to ask. "Um Miller where are we gonna sleep while we're here?" He looked at me and gave me a key which said 12. I knew what it meant. The key was a key to room 12 at the hotel like building on the base. "Thanks Miller."

With that i got up and carrying spitfire who wasnt shakeing anymore. I had to go across the base to get to the hotel building from the medical building. Half way there i saw Earl and Anderson talking to eatchother. Anderson then saw me and waved towards me. Both him and Earl walked on over.

"Hey Jerry how are you two doing?" Anderson asked. I explained to them about how she doesnt have a black eye anymore and about her wings and the shot she got. We then walked to the hotel building of the base. We got in and went to our own rooms. Me and spitfire got to our room which had two beds a bathroom and a tv to pass the time. A small slice of home per say.

I put spitfire down on the ground and imeditly she ran towards the bathroom. I just chuckled to myself while i put all of my gear into the locker that was in the room. I put my M416 away along with my vest and pistole belt. So all i was wearing was my camo shirt and long pants. I then remembered about the food we would need. Right when i had that thought spitfire came out of the bathroom.

"Do we have anything to eat here... i mean im starveing." Then both of our stomaches grumbled at the metion of food. I walked over to the fridge which had alot of food. Mainly apples and ham. I wanted to have the ham but remembered that spitfire said where she lived they dont have meat as a food. So instead i grabed the apples and placed them in a bowl i had with me. There was about 20 apples in the bowl. I carried it to the table we had in the small kitchen. When spitfire saw the apples she rushed to the table and began to eat the apples as if they were the last things she would eat.

I chuckled as i grabed one and began to eat into it normaly since i wasnt as hungry as she probely was. Then i remembered something. What was everyone er everypony thinking back where she lived in some place called Equestria?

(Third person time in equestira)

"Where in the hay are the wonderbolts right now. I mean today is the day they are supposed to perform in ponyville!!!" Rainbow dash exclaimed. It has been four days in equestrian time since sorin and spitfire were brought to the human world. Of course not a single pony knew that at all.

"Ah dont know Rainbow but we might wanna go when there is still sunlight." Turns out the whole Mane 6 came to watch the wonderbolts but something seemed off. The wonderbolts never missed a time to performe for ponyville. The sun was starteing to set and Lunas night was about to come. Applejack,Rarity,Fluttershy,Twilight,Pinkie pie,and Rainbow dash then started to head home until they all felt something. They all kept the feeling to themselves but it was something unusual.

Everypony went home while rainbow dash flew to her cloud house still haveing that wierd feeling in her stomach. It felt like....she was starveing for something to eat.

When spitfire was done eating i got us both some water to have. We started to drink a little bit in silince. Then she broke the silince.

"So....what are we gonna do now since well.... i cant fly at all." It looked like she had a little bit of depression in her eyes. I leaned forward and placed my hand on her hoof.

"Only for a little bit spitfire not forever. Look i dont know what you like to watch but i think we can find something on the TV what do you say?" I pated her hoof as i got up and sat on the couch. Spit fire nodded drinking the last of her water and walking on over hoping onto the couch and sitting beside me. I grabed the remote and began to flip through the channels.

"Oh do you think they have romance on this TV?" I looked at her surprised.

"You like romance shows?" She nodded with a tiny blush of embaressment on her face. "Dont feel embarsed im kind of a fan myself. I just hope you dont mind what it is." She nodded no. So i got to a channel that had drama in it. Had some romance but not much. I kinda found it funny how earlier today i was just in a firefight and spitfire was nearly killed who knows how many times and we were just watching TV as if nothing happened. Sad thing was this was only gonna last for 2 weeks.

About an hour later i felt something on my left shoulder. I looked towards my shoulder and found that spitfire had fallen assleep on my shoulder. I found it cute how she slept. So i carefully got up and picked her up. I carried her to one of the two beds and set her down to sleep. I tucked her in and went to my bed after turning off the TV. I layed there looking at the ceiling and i felt something wierd in my stomach. I dont know what it was but it felt like something i had a couple of times when i have a crush one someone. Then it hit me. Was i starting to fall for spitfire? Shes pony a PEGASUS a mythlogical creature and i have a crush on her. I thoguht if i slept on it i would feel better in the morning.

"Yeah sleep thats what i need and i'll feel better tomorow." So i turned and fell assleep.

(Authors notes: OK hopefully i didnt ruin the story by makeing it sound like they were in some town or anything. But think this is in the future so you never know what will happen in the future. Ok well looks like our friend here is starteing to fall for spitfire but the question is this: Does spitfire feel the same way? Well here it is the next update. Might have another one up later today. But in a couple of days im going somewhere for about a week so dont be surprised if you guys have to wait a week for another story.
