Strange war

Chapter 6

I was only assleep for about three minutes before i woke up to mumbling and small whimpering. I got up and looked towards where spitfire sleeping, and saw that she was turning alot her wings twitching telling me she was haveing a nightmare about being tourtured again. I walked over and was gonna wake her up, but instead she shot straight up wings at attention screaming as if she was in pain. I put both my hands on her shoulders and basicly yelled.

"SPITFIRE LISTINE ITS A DREAM!! YOU HEAR ME JUST A DREAM!"

She shook her head afetr she stopped screaming and looked at me. Tears were streaming her face as she began to openly sob. I slowly pulled her into a hug and she accepted the embrace and huged back. She openly sobed loudly while i was trying my best to calm her down. I ran my hand through her mane as i gave her soothing noises.

"Shhhhh...its ok they cant hurt you anymore...shhhhhh its ok." I said just above a whisper to her. After a couple of minutes she slowly began to stop sobing. I then looked down at her as she looked up at me. Her eyes had pink rings around them and were puffed up a little bit. I wiped away the tears that were on her face.

"You ok now spitfire?" I asked her. She nodded and layed her head on my chest and continued to hug me. I huged her for a couple more mintues before i decided to get up and head towards my bed to get some sleep. But when i tried to get up i found out that spitfire wouldnt let go of me. I sat back down and asked her.

"Whats wrong spitfire?" I could see a small blush on her face as she looked up to me. Then she said something i would never excpect her to say.

"Jerry... i know this may sound wierd but...i was thinking if you could stay with me tonight? Like stay in the same bed as me?" Now as much as i hate to admit it some dirtly thoughts crept into my head but only briefly as i knew what she meant.

"You feel safer when im around you spitfire?" She nodded. I let out a long sigh. "Well.....i guess it wont hurt if i do. But just for tonight ok?" She looked at me surprised and huge me tighter. I took that as a sighn that she was happy. Then she broke the embrace as i got under the covers with her. She snugled up to me from behind.

"Thanks Jerry." She said in a whisper. A small smile crept on my face. "Your welcome spitfire." I whispered back. With that i fell into a deep sleep.

Then next day around 8:30 A.M.

I woke up to movement from behind me. Then it felt like wieght got off the bed. I turned and saw that spitfire had gotten off the bed and was stretching her wings. That was a good sighn if you ask me.

"Awake now arent we?" She stoped stretching and looked at me with a smile on her face. She then jumped back onto the bed. She gave me a hug as if to say thanks. I huged back accedently brushing her her left wing causeing her to twitch and gasp at the same time. She was blushing a little bit.

"Careful Jerry the wings on a pegeasus are sensative to touch." I understood. "Sorry about that. Then i looked down and saw that we were both still covered in dust and grime from the previous day. But before i said anything about it spitfire looked at me and said.

"Um...Jerry i think we both could use a shower." I nodded in agreement. So we broke the smal little embrace and got up to go to the two different showers. But then i remebered about my cloths i should wear. Spitfire was already in the shower so i went to the closet that was closer to spitfires bathrrom. I opened the doors and saw that there was camo shirt and longpants of course. Then i looked to my left and saw that spitfire didnt close the door completly and was humming a toone.

I did all i could not to look through the door but lost control and couldn't help but look through the door. I saw that through the steam from the hot water i saw spitfire standing under the showers water her face looking up at shower bed eyes closed while her tail and mane were completly flat from the water. Her fur seemed to glow in the sunlight bleeding through the window that was in the bathroom. Then she stopped the toone and i thought she knew i was staring at her.

I quickly looked away got my clothes and rushed to the other bathrrom and took my shower. After i was done i got out, dried off, and got dressed. I got out of the bathroom and went to the cloths shoot where i drooped my clothing. Then i turned and saw that spitfire was sitting on the coutch wtaching the chanel i left it on. The rommance chanle.

I walked over and sat down beside her seeign what she was watching. Something called "Ghost whisperer" i had no idea what that was so i decided to watch it. Half way through spirfire then rested her head on my shoulder. I didnt look and just continued to watch the show. A little bit later i then moved my arm around to her other side and rested it on top of the coutch. We both looked at eatchother, and she gave me a small smile before snugling up closer to me putting one of her forhooves on my chest and basicly laying on me.

Then we heard a knocking at the door. I got up as spitfire got off of me and i went to the door. I opened it and standing there was Anderson.

"Oh hey anderson whats up?" He smiled at me and said "Nothing much...but Cmdr.Earl wants to talk to you. Dont woory sarge wont be comeing this way anytime soon." I nodded as i looked back at spitfire and said "I'll be back and a bit. Hey anderson keep her company while im gone? Thanks cya." I took off not letting him give an answer.

When i got outside i saw Earl waiting for me along with the rest of my squad. I walked over to them. "Hey Earl." He nodded then talked to me about how command was allowing spitfire to stay as long i kept and eye on her. While we were talking i then realized that Sarge was nowhere to be seen.

"Hey wheres sarge at?" The squad looked at eatchother then at me. I realized he was going after spitfire. I turned and sprinted as fast as i could my squad and Earl close behind. We ran up the stairs and when we got to the room i saw anderson on the ground in a daze. I looked into the room and in horor i saw Sarge stading with a knife in his hand standing over spitfire who was in the corner of the room beging for her life.

"NOOO!!!" I sprinted then jumped forward in front of spitfire as the knife came down. I managed to stop it by grabeing his wrist twisting it causeing the knife to fall out of his hand. With my other hand i sucker punched him, got up and kneed him in the face and before he could react i broke his arm by twisting it and punching his elbow that was faceing the ceiling.

He fell to the ground in pain screaming in pain. In a couple of minites the MP(military police) came up with a medic who put sarges arm in a sling before he was hauled off to the brig. I turned towards spitfire who had her face buried in her hooves sobing in fear. I knelt down and place my hand on her shoulder. She looked up at me and imediatly huged me as if her life depended on it. I huged back careful to avoid her wings. Earl and the rest of the group left later to give us privacy.

A couple of minitues later she stopped sobing. I help her to the coutch before asking "Are you ok? Did he hurt you at all?" She nodded no. Felt like a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I decided that if i was gonna confess i had a crush on her it was gonna be now. While i look back at it i realized it sounded preety stupid.

But before i could say anything spitfire decided for me. Out of nowhere spitfire kissed me. Not on the cheeck or on the forehead. But full on the lips. It only lasted a milisecond. I looked at her eyes wide in surprise. She was blushing wildly looking away.

"I-i-i'm so sorry i just didnt know what else to do...i guess you dont want to see me anymore." She looked at the gound acting ashamed. Now was the good time to tell her. I put my hand on her chin and i had her look into my eyes. Then i leaned foward closeing the gap kissing her. A few seconds passed before she started to kiss back. A few minutes passed before i broke the kiss. We looked into eatchothers eyes. I gave her a smile then i said.

"You dont have to be worried spitfire. I like you to." A few seconds passed in silence before she gave me a kiss. I kissed back. The kiss lasted a few minutes again. Then there was a knock at the door. We broke the kiss as i got up to see who in the world would be at my door this time. I got up and opened the door.

Standing there was Cmdr.Earl. I allowed him to enter my apartment. He entered and sat in the chair infront of the coutch. I sat down beside spitfire.

"Ok well i got some news about sarge. He's gonna be demoted back to Pvt. but stay in the marines. Now i know you think he should be punished more for assault and attempted murder, but thats what command decided. But look at it this way Jerry your no longer PFC.Jerry. I recomended you to be promoted to Sgt.Jerry and they accepted the advice. So tomorow you are to take comand of Alpha Squad." I just sat there surprised at what he just told me.

"Huh...well im not gonna argue of what they said. SGT.Jerry. I like that." Me and Earl shared a quick laugh. He left later on closeing the door behind him. I thought of what happened in the last fourty-eight hours. One minute im going on a mission the next im sitting beside somepony who i loved and was promoted to SGT. I loved the army sometimes.

The whole day i sat beside spitfire watching romance movies. One after another constantly we would sneak a kiss or two. When night time came it was time to go to bed. We both got up as i turned off the TV and went to the bedroom. Spitfire got into bed and i didnt hesitate to join her. She didnt seem to mind as i gave her a quick kiss goodnight. What was gonna happen tomorow i dont know but whatever happened as long spitfire was gonna be with me it was gonna be alright.

(Authors notes: OK i hope nobody thinks i rushed this part of the story at all and im still debateing on wither i should make a different part of the story where a clop scene happen and if i do i need to get a sexy pitcure of spitfire so if anyone knows where to get one or sends me one i will add it as the first pitcure of that story and give credit to you. Also im thinking what should i do with Sarge. Have him go in the same squad as Jerry or be in a different one. Well i hope you guys enjoied this chapter. It took me a bit since my eyes now hurt from being on the computar for hours non-stop. Thats how much i care about you guys. Well im off to get some sleep. CYA!!) *Passes out while on computar*
