Reborn

At the dawn of Equestria's founding one group of ponies stood above all, the Elementals. The Elementals were a group of six ponies each bearing an element, an element to control. Too powerful for themselves, they were forced to group and protect the lands of Equestria from unseen evil that lay in the wake of the new kingdom. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's parents, the founders and rulers of Equestria founded the Elemental group and forsook their protection against all evil that dared to approach the borders of Equestria.

As time went on the Elemental powers went down from one unlucky generation to the next, seeking a new host for the new protectors of the kingdom. The powers soon came to a halt however, for one day a new Elemental was found, Magic Bending. magic Bending was the power to control all magic without having to master it first. This power threw the powers out of balance, causing the murders of the king and queen. In the wake of the new Magic Bending power, a war started to brew. Ponies from the east, north, south, and west came to hate the Elementals and what they stood for. Soon enough the Elementals returned the hatred, taking over the kingdom and causing the birth of utter chaos. New species were formed, lives destroyed, and a certain tree started growing. The Harmony Tree was created my the pony gods and goddesses to help counter act  the power of the Elementals. It was then that Celestia and Luna took their places on the throne and used the Elements of Harmony to defeat discord, the lord of chaos. Then after defeating the lord, Celestia and Luna went on to defeat the Elementals.

The Elementals laughed at the two Alicorns, for they believed that they were all powerful and un-defeatable. They were smug and they probably could have defeated Celestia and Luna is they had had Harmony in their hearts. But unluckily they were to egotistical and uptight to know that the Elements of Harmony only worked on those who didn't have Harmony within them. One thing was for sure, the Elementals had absolutely no Harmony in their hearts whatsoever.

"And that is how the Elements of Harmony came to be and why they are still used today to defend Equestria from the forces of disharmony", the light purple filly finished reading.

"Huh, I wonder if the Elementals still exist today ?".
