Chapter 2- A Cute Little Baby

When Spike saw the little island in front of him he almost fell over board, right in front of him was something he had not seen since he had left equestria, on the island in front of him was fresh green grass, apple trees, flowers, and the snowstorm seemed to be avoiding the whole island, Spike got off his little dingy and ran right up to one of the trees and, with one mighty kick, made half a dozen apples fall from the tree, quick as he could, he gathered them up, sat down, and ate them, core and all, it was the first time in 20 years that hed gotten to eat apples. but unfortunately for Spike, he sound of himself crunching into the apples covered another, more serious noise, but Spike noticed as soon as he turned around that something was wrong, his little Dingy was gone, and in its place was a small pile of floating timber. but the biggest surprise was what had surrounded the island, a couple hundred merponys with a different asortment of aquatic animal parts below there waist, some where small and some were huge, and all of them were starring at him. Spike did the only thing he could think to do.

"Hi there" Spike said with a wave. the effect was immediate, they all started giggling uncontrollably.

"Hi little one" a merpony said "are you lost?" she asked with a smile. but other merponys were talking to, asking if he was lost, if he needed help, so on and so forth, it took Spike a minute to figure out what was going on. he was still, in the eyes of nature, a baby dragon, even though he was 42, that equaled about 2 years a half a month in dragon years, so to the merponys he was just a lost baby. Spike also found out pretty quick that merponys could control water, cause he found himself being picked up by a hand made of water and was promptly pulled into the larger body of said water, immediately all the merpony`s gathered around them and started saying things like

"Oh look at his poor little arm! were you driven out of your home"

"you look underfeed, I can get you some yummy gems if you need any" and so on and so forth it went for a good 3 and a half hour before Spike managed to convince them he was raised by ponys. but as it turned out that just made matters worse as they were now saying how sad it was that such a cute little baby was taken from his parents, and he should come live with them. they all turned a Crimson Red when he told them of Tom, and in a instant Spike know had a couple hundred new friends and Tom had a couple hundred enemies, but still refused to let such a young, parentless baby go out into the wilderness on his own. in fact, after hearing about Tom, a merpony who was part shark refused to let Spike leave her side. she was massive, around 17 feet long and with a shark fin on her back, she had a ponys upper body, but with shark teeth and shark like eye`s, she was a dark gray, her main was black, and she looked extremely pissed.

"Im gonna find that mean pony for you and give him what for!" she said,and after looking at the merpony for a second, Spike wondered if that meant she was gonna beat the shit out of Tom, or just plain out eat Tom. either way she was by far his favorite one of the currently gathered merponys.

"So" Spike said "were you all just hanging out here and i happened to stroll in, or did I do something worth noticing?" he was answered by the Shark merpony.

"our dear friend Emerald told us a young lost dragon saved her from pirates, since she was in no shape to help you, she asked use to go looking after you to see if there was some sort of problem, we are in the frozen north and most dragon`s hate it here, now I see there is indeed a problem."

"Dont suppose you know what that song was that was learning making ponys jump out of there ships? Spike question was answered almost at once.

"oh, that was use, we were looking for you but realized we had no idea where to look, so we were trying to get some boats to come here so we could ask, yours was the only boat that came, so we stopped singing." now little one, from what i understand you live in a place with a large port."

"aye" Spike agreed.

"and this Tom will be visiting said town?"

"aye" Spike agreed again.

"ok so lisen to me, I will be waiting in the bay for you, on the day he arrives, I want you to lure him to this bay, and fight him, since you want to kill him, ill give you the chance, but if you go down, im gonna break every bone in this Tom`s body with pure water presser. is this alright?" Spike though for a second and said

"alright."

"good, now hop on, I`ll take you to your home, but I want you to come check on me every day! got it?"

"got it." Spike replied, he climbed on her back and it was right then that Spike had just been basically adopted by a merpony and didn`t even know her name."mind if I ask you name ma'am?"

"my name is Angle little one."
