That One Night
Chapter 2: Goodbye
Previous ChapterTwo very familiar looking adult alicorns ran past us.
"Mom! Dad!" Celestia cried out to our parents. She pulled me to my feet and started running after them. I winced a little when my front left hoof sent a shock of pain through me but I fought the pain and forced myself to run after my parents. I teared up, knowing what would happen to them.
"Celestia, Luna, run! Run as far away from here!" My Mother shouted to Celestia and I as we ran from an angry army of Changlings and Crystal Ponies under the command of Queen Chrysalis and King Sombra.
My Father carried Celestia and I before placing us somewhere hidden.
"Stay safe. We love you."
He then flew up into the sky with my Mother right behind him. I could not bear to watch the scene replay before my eyes once again, so I turned away from them while my vision continued to blur.
I could see Celestia watching our parents, a petrified expression on her face, with tears welling up in her eyes. Knowing what to expect, I lowered my head as I cried my heart out when I heard a blast of Dark Magic being shot directly at my parents by Chrysalis.
"No." Celestia whimpered.
I could barely see Celestia holding back her tears through my blurred vision with her jaw clenched tight.
More tears streamed down my face as I heard two loud thuds. My parents had fallen to the ground. Celestia put a hoof around me. She was next to me, crying softly. I heard hooves trotting over to where my parents landed. I knew it was King Sombra. I've watched it all before, thousands of years ago. I still remember it clearly.
"He's got a knife." Celestia's eyes widened, as she snuck a peek at the scene.
She quickly turned away and closed her eyes with her hooves. I saw tears from the both of us fall to the ground. We heard a stab. We winced. And multiple more stabs. Celestia pulled me closer and hugged me tightly. We cried our eyes out. We couldn't bear to look at our dead parents's corpses. Instead, Celestia got up.
"We have to find somewhere safe to hide." Her voice, almost a whisper, filled with dread and sadness. I got up, ignoring the pain from my hoof and walked alongside Celestia. As we walked, we heard the Changelings flying away and King Sombra with his servants galloping away.
