Pinkie, Timber, and Twilight were now on the third floor in a circle as the took a quick look at the second-floor stairs and back to the key.

"That guy was a little bigger than before." Pinkie said, "Maybe we really should go back and help them..."

"No, first we must accomplish the task that was given to us. Sunset can take care of herself," Sci-Twi said.

"Ve. All right. Besides, if we run into that thing, I'd rather run away," Pinkie said.

"Since when did you start going Ve all the time?" Timber asked.

"It's Pinkie Pie Timber, don't question it," Twilight said.

"Duly noted. Anyway, let's search these rooms once more and then... Hum... report to Applejack," Timber said.

"Alright! Let's do our best guys!" Pinkie said.

The trio then went around the house using it on all the locked doors only to come up short. When they used it on the door next to the turn off on the first floor left hallway Pinkie sighed sadly.

The key isn't for this room either," She said

"Well, there is one more locked room - a kinda Japanese-style room. Let's try that one," Sci-Twi suggested.

"Okay." Pinkie replied, "Lead the way!

Sci-Twi showed Timber and Pinkie the room she was talking about. It was just as she said, a Japanese-style room.

"How did you know about this?" Timber asked.

"I looked at it first before going up to the 3rd floor." Sci-Twi said, "I didn't find anything useful so I went up to the third floor."

Looking around the room they were in the trio then noticed a door right near the entrance to the hallway they came through.

"Hey, I remember that!" Sci-Twi said, "While I was looking around I tried opening it but it was locked!"

Pinkie then used the key on it and it clicked unlocking.

"It worked!" Pinkie said gleefully.

The trio then went in and went up as soon as they came into the new room.

"Huh." Pinkie said, "I wonder what's behind those doors."

She instantly regretted asking as what came out was the monster.

"RUN LIKE AN ITALIAAAN!!!" Pinkie shouted in fear running away in a cartoonish fashion.

And in an instant, the trio ran out of the room with the monster chasing after them. Pinkie looked back as did Sci-Twi, both screaming in horror seeing the creature not too far behind them.

"SPLIT UP!!!" The two shouted together out of panic.

Entering the Foyer Pinkie and Timber went left while Sci-Twi went to the right and the monster did too. Looking back Sci-Twi picked up speed and ran into the kitchen closing the door behind her, but the monster burst through the door, not knocking it off its hinges, but broke the lock causing Sci-Twi to jump as it ran for her, but she too began to run herself and ended up going behind the couch and ran for the door going nearly as Fast as Rainbow Dash when she wasn't using her magic.

I can’t escape, I can’t escape, I can’t escape, I can’t escape, I CAN’T ESCAPE!!! Sci-Twi thought while she ran away towards the left hallway.

She didn't even bother to look back, she just ran straight for the bathroom to her right where she found Pinkie hiding in the toilet. She then made the decision to hide as well and hid underneath the water sink where she found Timber.

"T-Timber!" Sci-Twi said in glee, "Oh thank god you're alright!"

"Same!" Timber said with a bit of a blush, "Heh. You know I never expected us to end up in this situation."

"Y-yeah." Sci-Twi said with a blush as well, "I-it's, um, k-kind of cramped."

Suddenly the door to the bathroom opened and the two quickly went silent. They heard its footsteps as it walked around the place, getting either closer or farther from their location. Then, it just left altogether, they could tell by the fact the bathroom door opened then closed. They then came out of their hiding spots and took a breath of relief.

"That was a close one!" Pinkie said coming out of the toilet and coming over to Sci-Twi and Timber.

"Too close." Timber said, "Now what?"

"Now we head back to that room," Sci-Twi said.

"Aaactually there's something I wanted to do." Pinkie said, "There's a door in the kitchen we never checked and I wanted to check out what was in that room."

"Yeah, I've gotta admit I'm a bit curious too." Sci-Twi said, "Let's check it out before we head back to that room. I mean if we don't the want to take a look inside is just gonna keep nagging at us until we finally take a look at it."

"Agreed." Timber said, "Lead the way you two."

After checking to make sure the creature was gone the trio left the bathroom and went back into the kitchen where they found the door Pinkie and Sci-Twi were talking about and went inside. In it was what looked to be just a storage room with the cupboards and bookshelves full of books.

"What the?! MORE BOOKSHELVES FULL OF BOOKS?! Did whoever previously owned this house have a book fetish or something?!" Sci-Twi shouted.

They then looked at large crate placed a little awkwardly at the wall. Pinkie moved it out of the way and to their surprise it revealed a safe with a number pad on it.

"Whoa! Sweet a safe!" Timber said trying to open it, "Damn. Locked."

"If it wasn't. there wouldn't be any point to it." Sci-Twi said, "Let me try something real quick."

Going to the number pad she pressed the number 5 and it made an electrical beep noise. She then followed it up with the numbers 7, 3, and 6 giving it the code of 5-7-3-6 and upon hitting enter the safe made a buzzing noise to let them know it was the wrong code.

"Hmm. Looks like it takes a four digit code. Just as I suspected." Sci-Twi said, "The bad news is that we don't have enough information to unlock this safe, we're gonna have to investigate a little more before we can crack the code."

"Well, then I say we get moving!" Timber said, "That freaky, inbred looking, spook of an anthro pony could show up any minute!"

Sci-Twi and Pinkie just looked at him like as if he just said the craziest thing in the world.

"What?" Timber asked.

"That's, um, very descriptive," Sci-Twi said.

"Eh, sorry. But it just looks like that, you know?" Timber said with a blush.

Sci-Twi and Pinkie only shrugged and the trio left the room and headed back to the room where the monster had started chasing them. To their surprise the found a piece of paper with weird shapes on it as well as a lighter with fluid.

"Huh. A lighter AND another piece of paper," Pinkie said taking the items.

"It's similar to the piece the others found earlier. Here, let me take a look," Timber said.

Pinkie then held the paper to where all three of them could see it. Sci-Twi's eyes then went big,

"I know what these shapes are!" She said, "They're piano keys!"

"How could ya tell?" Pinkie asked sweating a bit.

"The formations of them are just too similar. It looks like the one on the left is upside down, though, Pinkie! We found a clue!" Sci-Twi exclaimed, "This might be the same thing as the other piece of paper! We've gotta tell the others what we found!"

Suddenly Pinkie's phone let off its ringtone letting the trio know someone was calling.

"Wh-what the?! Pinkie isn't that your phone?!" Timber asked.

"Eh? Oh, y-you're right. Why? Our phones get no signal here!" Pinkie said.

"How am I supposed to know?!" Timber said.

"Try answering it," Sci-Twi said.

Pinkie then took out her phone and looked at the number.

"It's a number-withheld call..." Pinkie said before answering, "H... hello?"

All she heard was the sound of a piano key before it hung up. Pinkie was absolutely confused.

"... Uh?" Pinkie went.

"What's wrong?" Timber asked.

"I'm not sure. I heard a sound and the call was cut off," Pinkie replied.

"A sound?" Sci-Twi asked.

"The sound of a piano. It was only one note, though. I wonder what that was all about?" Pinkie answered.

"The sound a piano. Hm..." Sci-Twi said, "We have this piece of paper now, so let's go back to Applejack. Sunset and the others will probably join us there if all goes well too."

"Yeah. Let's go back to the piano room, then," Pinkie replied.
