Neighboring Country of Equestria.

In a battle fortress that had been erected not far, only a few days hike from Equestria's border stood a packed to the brim courtyard of Ponies, all three tribes are here, but these ponies were not ordinary ponies, for each and every one of them was clad in armor and weapon alike. Their had to be at least a nine hundred to a thousand soldiers there.

On a raised platform stood a towering form of earth pony in red demonic armor, he had a massive red claymore next to him as he stared at the gathered soldiers, His name as most would call him Walhart. "You all know that we have been wanting to invade and take Equestria as our own but due to their two Princesses, we were in able to, we my brothers at arms, today is the day for they have lost one of their Princesses and the other one if in mourning, now is the time to strike and claim their land ours!!!!" He yelled while lifting his claymore into the air without any effort to signal his men.

The massive army he had just did the same while letting their cheers out before they along with there leader began their march for Equestria's borders, none of them seeing a single eagle fly away from them at a surprising speed, if they had looked they would have seen that same eagle burst into flames and now almost streaking away from the fortress.

In a earth pony town called Maretania, about a few miles from the border and even more from the fortress.

Ponies all walked to and from in this town as they went about their normal day routines like nothing bad happened besides the somewhat longer then normal night, word of what happened to their princess had yet reached them yet, and at one of the cafes where some more ponies sat and ether had something to drink or a late lunch, most were civilians but their was also the border patrol that was placed their to watch the border. Everypony had causal wear on, as normal besides those that are on dates, but one stood out to them all and that was a completely black robed figure enjoying some tea.

This single figure has yet to be asked why he had this clothing on, not even the guards said anything, and he always stayed quiet and just watched as the day rolled by, up till a familiar eagle came swooping in before landing before him. The other patrons of the café and even one of waiters was about to shoo it off before they see the robed figure reach up and began petting it, much to their surprise. They watched as the robed figure continued till the eagle turned and gave a soft and gentle nibbling to his hand, which caused him to stop before deciding to finish his tea and getting up, and leaving a few bits as a tip before holding his arm out, which now seen had padding on it.

They find out why it had padding as the eagle took off before landing right on the padding, after he made sure the eagle was perfectly seated, he left and the other patrons went about their business.

Once he got a good distance from them he looked at his eagle before letting out a sigh. "They decided to try on attacking did they?" He asked the eagle, who nodded it's head before they got to a lone mobile home style carriage as they went inside. "Very well, it would be for the best then, although I know they won't give up and leave so that means their will be bloodshed, as well a slaughter. I always try to avoid those but it seems their is no way that will happen this time." He said before letting his eagle jump to a perch before removing his padding and begin on a letter, once it was done he got a special harness and helped his eagle into it before rolling the letter up and placing it inside container on the harness back. "Like always, make sure the letter gets to Tia at all costs, even using your phoenix power to help you get their." He said before removing his robe.

With the robe off it showed a being covered in what seemed to be unique type of armor that was mostly gold, with a keen eye it would see as just gold paint, along with where the helmet was had a gold tinted visor, on the beings left hip was a place for a sword, which he reached over by the bed and picked up his sword before sliding it in place and securing it before turning back to the door. "Well lets get started." He said before opening the door and stepping out, just as the being closed the door he vanished from view of the town like he was nothing but a ghost.

Few miles outside the border of the town.

A single being suddenly appeared without any kind of popping noise of a teleportation spell before looking around as he reached for his left hip and undid the flap where his sword was before draw the blade out...

....only to slam part of the blade into the ground and walk a few feet infront of it." Alright Vegetite, Time to show why they should never try and attack Equestria." The being now called Vegetite said before lifting his left arm up and placing his hand sideways on his face before pulling it across it, the result was instantaneous as a swirling vortex of darkness engulfed him in a wide but very tall pillar.

It stayed like that till a single pitch black clawed hand shot out of the dark vortex with its palm facing the sky before doing a coming motion...

....which caused the placed sword in the ground to violently erupt out of the ground and into the held out hand, by time the dark vortex was gone. No longer stood the armored being but now something else stood their, the arm that wielded the sword moved the blade down while it began it's wait on the now doomed army.

Any passerby that would have walked by would just say it was a statue, if not for a slowly swaying pitch black tail and ruffling of bat-like wings, and any animal near or even close went silent like something far more dangerous then the grim reaper itself was standing near them.

Ok this is my first try one anthro so if i messed up, so sorry and also, for those that can't handle gore then beadvised. I know quite abit about it due to a few games and horror movies that gave me a good idea to write but i know i won't be the best out there and besides, i'm only doing this story for fun and i was also hoping if this story does get favroited enough i might turn it into a series.

Also lil warning about the next chapter, it will give more detail on what the thing in the end is as well the sword so please be patient.
