Three days and one hour later, field outside of Equestria's border.

The field was always a sight to see for anyone, until now though as cleaved in half corpse after cleaved in half corpse laid all around the blooded field, all of the corpses are soldiers.

But there was still more soldiers left, all of them crowded around a single spot in a box formation, with a occasional soldier flying out of the ring of soldiers, among the soldiers was their leader, Walhart who was staring at the surrounding dead and blooded battlefield along with brief glance at the fresh corpse to show, it to was cleaved in two like the rest. All he had to do to find the culprit of this slaughter of troops was inside the ring of remaining soldiers he had left.

Standing to at least nine feet tall with the horns on it head was a being with pitch black armor like skin with matching bat-like wings and tail, held in it right clawed like hand was a simple blade, or as simple as one gets since it is one handed due to where the back of the fingers face is nothing but four sharp spikes as well one on the very end of the handle, at the hilt where the blade starts was a hook that he at first didn't know why it had that till he seen this monstrous demon stop a incoming blade with said hook before breaking the caught blade as well in a flurry of slices, turned the poor soldier to nothing but a spray of blood.

He and his soldiers had only got here and been here for a hour and already this monstrous demon has killed a good portion of his troops like instructors being challenged by first day recruits. But he knew that it will get tried and fail to exhaustion, everything does and they will fail, He should join them but he wanted to save his strength for taking down Equestria's now only Princess.

When he and the troops got there, he seen the statue like being and choose to send a single weak soldier out to try and pass it, if he did and was unharmed then they would pass and begin their attack on Equestira, sadly the moment the soldier, a young earth pony, got right next to him, his and the other soldier's only warning was a slight movement from the being as well a slash wave of blood before the kid upper body slowly slid off its lower to the ground, the lower crumpled to the ground shortly after with its intestines following the flow of blood.

Walhart was drawn from his thought as he seen this monstrous demon actually for once stare at him, he was about to call out the command to strike him down before it turned away to place it back to him.

Vegetite knew they would have been careful, besides he thought it was time to show them he was only warming up. "This was a fun warm up, but now your just boring me." He spoke in a echoing rumble like voice that literally sent the rest of the soldiers shivering from the sound alone. They didn't have to wait long ether for what he had in mind as he took a single step back and leaned his head forward to the group of soldiers farthest from Walhart.

Soon a ball of dark energy about the size of a pebble appeared between his horns as well grew till it was half the size of a apple....

.....the soldiers only warning was the slowly backing away unicorns before a very wide but rather quick black beam engulfed them all in less then a second, it quickly ended as soon as it started. The only thing left of those soldiers was a shallow blacken trench that stretched thirty yards long and ten yards wide, Vegetite turned back around to see the stunned, shocked and horrified faces of the rest of the soldiers.

A single soldier, a young unicorn pony took careful steps back before turning and taking off as fast his hooves can take him, he didn't get far before he felt a faint pressure of pain before seeing the end of a familiar blade tip coming though here his chest was, following this blade all the way back, and though some more soldiers, the location ofthis said blade was from a out stretched arm with that was held in a clawed hand, a normal observer would say he was pointing with his sword, but to them it was different.

The blade had extended a great deal out of his reach before quickly retreating back to the owner of the sword before the blade was placed in a way like he was going to slash at the air....

....if not for the fact that the moment he did slashed, it took the heads off of the rest of the soldiers while leaving Walhart unharmed, albert now covered in blood from the blood spraying headless soldiers.

Walhart soon looked at this demon, or at least tried to when it disappeared before reappearing before him, causing to try and quickly backpedal and swing his massive claymore at the demon, who leaned his head to the left like he wanted to be hit in the right side of his next, when the blade came just inches from its neck, Walhart grinned in victory......

......only to have that grin to be replaced with the look of pure horror as his claymore shattered upon impact with its neck, all the way to the hilt, he now knew that none of their weapons would have even hurt this demon, he tried to backpedal even more but tripped on a corpse of a soldier.

Walhart tried to get up and run but he soon almost felt all the air driven from his lungs as the clawed foot from this demon was roughly placed on his chest while it stared down at him. "W-W-What are you, and why are you guarding Equestria?" Walhart asked the demon.

Vegetite stared down at Walhart before leaning even more so his horns were pointed right at him, soon a all to familiar dark ball of energy appeared between his horns again, but this time it was different, it had six dark lines swirling out of it as the area around his begin to look like it was raining, he even felt a twig like last time, only a lot stronger and he now knew that this was this demons power. "Because, I was promised to protect Tia and Lulu from all outside forces that aren't linked to a time placed event. And your not a time placed event, besides Tia would have burned you all the moment you tried to attack her ponies." He said in the same voice before him and a big area around them was suddenly engulfed in a massive pillar of dark energy, reaching about three miles in the air while it gained forty-five yards in round area.

In the town called Maretania

The town was all in mourning as they just now got word about what happened to their princess, so the Pegasus ponies set up a gloomy weather overcast, all seemed fine till a faint but felt wind begin to blow by, they all though it was part of the weather till it grew in strength till the ponies of the town had to actually hold onto things like sheets of paper and began asking why the Pegasus's ponies had this set up.

Before the Pegasus ponies can say that they didn't do this, their was a loud shriek from a female earth pony who was pointing to a massive dark pillar of energy towards the border of the town, the border guard soon took control of this and told everyone to remain calm while they also sent a Pegasus messenger to the Princess.

New castle in Canterlot, a couple of days later.

Princess Celestia sighed sadly as another noble wanting to throw a festival for the defect of Nightmare Moon, she did get a few ponies that gave her their sadness at losing her sister, but those were rare, she was about to allow the next noble in, if not for a Pegasus messemger come running inside the new throne room, it had only been a couple of years since the banishment of Nightmare Moon or her sister Luna.

"Princess Celestia, there is a urgent message from the border guard in Maretania!" The messenger said before giving the princess the message from the town, just as she read and got done reading the message, a familiar eagle flew inside the throne room from one of the still incomplete windows before setting up parch on the throne's arm rest as the eagle leaned forward to show it had a messenger harness on.

The Guards stared at the eagle as well the Princess, before she undid the message holder on the harness before pulling a rolled up letter that she always got from this eagle, she know it's name but don't know who it belonged to besides a shadow sentinel that watched over her and her sister from the very shadows, but she knew when he or she was their and they weren't this time, but once she read the letter she got up from her throne before looking over all the Guards and the new noble who just came inside the throne room. "Court has been canceled due to a sudden urgent problem on the border of Maretania." She called out to all that was present, before going to get her armor and weapon, just in cast this turns out bad.

In the battlefield, a few days later.

When Princess Celestia got to the sight of where the ponies of Maretania seen the dark pillar of energy, she really wanted to have her guard stay back at the town because the sight she just seen made most of them vomit, the smell of now decaying flesh was thick in the air as she seen the dried up blooded ground and decaying corpses of bodies, from the looks of the weapons and armor they were soldiers, but the most notable was the two most worst spots.

That was the shallow but long blacked trench and the blacken crater in the ground near the trench, it may have been a few days but even she can still sense the lingering power of a being that could do this and she knew one thing. What ever did this had to be ether powerful or almost as strong as Discord himself because it was like she was trying to walk into a room filled to the brim of thick cake batter.

She had seen battles before but to her, this was no battle, it was nothing more then a simple Slaughter. One of her Guards went up to her while using one hand to cover his nose while the other had a red helmet that looked like demon horns. "Princess, we found this near the crater and have found out from a used to be alive soldier from this Slaughter that it belonged to their leader, Walhart." He said.

Princess Celestia face darkened a bit as she knew the name, he was a obsessed emperor/conqueror that wanted to do nothing more then raze and take Equestria as his own, with Luna and her, he never tried to do a single thing for fear of have two very enraged Alicorns coming down on his, but with one out of the picture and the other in mourning, he could just steam rolled his way to her as the rest of the country was in mourning as well.

She looked out to the battlefield before giving a sigh, her shadow sentinel had good intentions, albert very violent ones but he might have known Walhart would not let a chance like this slip by. "Guards, lets go back and give the town reassuring that what happened here was a failed invasion on Equestria, and we had a secret hero to thank for it." She said before her and her guard's began leaving, much to their delight of getting away from the decaying corpses.

Also Vegetite was just toying with him, he will show his true power later in the story, and tirek i have plans for, it will not be pretty.
