Three Months before the royal wedding.

The capital city of Equestria, here is where Princess Celestia ruled the country for a thousand years, but now she had her sister, Princess Luna, back thanks to six mares
who ether by fate or it was a simple event, unknowingly gained their cutie marks at the same time, two unicorns, pegasi, and earth ponies. These six ponies have defeated Nightmare Moon/ purged her from Luna, not long after that they defeated Discord, the Lord of Chaos and resealed him in stone.

A block or two down from the Castle Canterlot gates.

A single cloaked being stood out in the crowd of other ponies as it walked towards the Castle gates, it was on its way to meet with a old friend and it also knew information on a event coming in three months time, he had to tell her that and he can NOT intervene, he had always warned her of these events ahead of time when ever he can sense them, usually at least three months though a year.

Of course none of these ponies knew who he was, well all but Princess Celestia who seen him in the past. The cloaked figure was Vegetite.

He soon got to the gate and allowed pass after checking his person for weapons and under his hood by the guards, who from their view only saw a white coated earth pony in yellow shirt and pants, he had jet black mane and tail, once they allowed him through he made his way to the receptionist to put a name down and went to wait in line for a audience with Celestia.

Inside the Throne room, a hour later.

Princess Celestia sat upon her throne, listening to another pony, a noble who she was sure just wanting to have a statue of himself built or a new mansion made for him, once again she denied him while sighing. 'Sometimes I wished a few good ponies would come to see me, but the nobles have to be somewhat stuck-up as always. Once the noble left she looked to her left to her unicorn adviser. "Ok who's the next petitioner?" Princess Celestia said.

The unicorn looked down to her list of names before seeing the next name. "A Mister Shadow Dawn. He seems to be a no-pony so we wi-" That was all she could say before she was interrupted by Princess Celestia.

Celestia quickly stood up while spreading her wings at their most height. "NO!!!!" She Yelled before looking to her adviser then one of the royal guards lining the walls. "Lead Shadow Dawn to my private chambers now." She said before looking to the rest of ponies in the room. "Court is cancelled for today, please come back tomorrow." She added before turning and making her way to one of the side doors near the throne while a single thought went though her head. 'What's is happening now?'

In Celestia's private chambers, few minutes later.

Vegetite stood In the center of the room as he waited for Tia, he had been told by a royal guard that he had to be lead here, much to the confusion of said guard, he even stayed to make sure he didn't take or do anything. He didn't have much waiting left as the door to the chambers were soon alit with a familiar to him gold aura as Celestia stepped through and glanced at the guard and Vegetite. "Guard, please leave us and let no one but my sister if she comes inside." She said before allowing the guard the time to leave before slamming the door shut. "Vegetite, what's going to happen because you and I both know you don't use that name unless its urgent." She said.

Vegetite sighed before reaching up to his cloaks hood to pull it back to reveal his light pale face and jet black hair with blue eyes before moving his arms back down so he can cross them over his chest.. "Sadly Tia it's true, from what I can tell, there will be a event that I can only semi-intervene with in three months time, if I am correct the same time as yours and your captain of the guards wedding, it would be best to put a shield up around the city three or four days before the wedding, also make sure the Element bearers are invited." He said.

Vegetite soon looked towards the tower where Lulu was before glancing back to Tia. "Also Tia, did you ever got around to tell her about what happened a little more then five hundred years ago? About the Great Slaughter?" He said while behind his own eyes it played out like it only happened yesterday.

Celestia froze when he mentioned that, it was by all rights between both the ponies and griffons bloodiest and brutal battles, the death toll was so being so high and how they both know about how bad it was, a shiver went up her spine just barely remembering about it. 'By my mother, Lulu is not going to like that, I-It actually looked like it was raining blood when me and a few hundred royal guards were not even in the fight and it was just pouring blood.' she thought. "N-no I-I have not." Tia said.

He turned his head back to Tia before sighing. "It would be best you tell her before she uncovers it herself and thinks the Shadow sentinel that has been both watching her and you was some murderous demon that kills all in its path. Besides Emperor Darkclaw was a fool to try and attack Equestria, but he lead a suicide attack/invasion would have worked." He said while turning his head down, soon before Tia can call him out again, he was lost in thought and memories of that fateful day, all those years ago.

Well here is the story for showing Vegetites power, of course it's not complete.

Next chapter will have what is mentioned in this chapter called "The Great Slaughter." And bewarned it will be rather bloody then the last chapter.
