The 2nd Battle of The Bands

It's the day of the competition,The Rainbooms meet at Sweet apple acres to practice for the competition.

"You guys ready or what?"Rainbow Dash asked with a smile on her face.

Everyone cheered meaning they're ready to start practicing but for one small detail,what song should they play."I got the list here".Sunset said with her clipboard of the songs they'll use for the competition.

Then suddenly Sunset gasped at what she seen at her clipboard.She noticed that the songs are different than the songs they listed.Then everyone looked at the songs and gasped as well.

"This isn't the song we listed".Fluttershy said softly."Ah' bet it's that Ember Blaze and Moonlight Sparks who changed them".Applejack argued."You're right since they're the one's that who took it and trashed the music room so we can't practice yesterday".Twilight said in agreement while adjusting her glasses."But then,Why would they changed the songs in such a way?"Rarity asked."Maybe it's like they want us to win easily".Pinkie pie added with a smile on her face."Hey,you guys?Do you even remember these songs?"Sunset asked them.

Then suddenly,Two figures standing in front of them.It's was Ember Blaze and Moonlight Sparks.

"I have confidence that you know these song very well Rainbooms".Moonlight said calmly.

Everyone is confused of what Moonlight just said.

"Just what are you two planning huh?"Rainbow Dash asked angrily while pointing a finger on the chin of Moonlight."Nothing entirely bad".Ember replied putting a cheeky grin at the furious Rainbow Dash."And what are you smiling about?"Rainbow asked and now pointing a finger on Ember's chin."Nothing entirely good,I should say".Moonlight replied with a calm attitude."It's been great taking this time talking to you girls but we should go now".Moonlight added.

Gesturing Ember to follow him.She agreed and walk with him.

"I'm still confused about what happened".Twilight said with a puzzled look."Aww,They're here to give us good luck at the Battle of the Bands,I'm so happy!"Pinkie shouted.

"Well we can't change what they did now".Sunset said."I guess your right.We don't probably have enought time to change and practice them".Twilight agreed Sunset's decision.

And then the rest of the Rainbooms agreed."Now before we start we should see how much time do we have left for us to practice a bit?"Sunset asked them,Which they took their phone.

"What!!!!!"Everyone shouted as they only have 10 minutes left before the competition starts.Everyone started packing their equipment,packed their instruments then they ran all towards the school.

Its almost time of the Battle of the bands and the Rainbooms just barely made it.

"Okay,for now let's just focus on the first round.Then we'll practice the new song for the second and third round after".Sunset said.The others agreed.

"Our songs may have change but I think I'm familiar with new songs".Sunset added."Me too,I remember those songs back after the Friendship games".Twilight said.

Then all of a sudden,Twilight look at the song on the finals and gasped.

'How did they know about this song?'Twilight thought."Are you okay Twi?"Sunset asked worried about her friend."I'm good Sunset,Thanks for asking.I'm just shocked about the song on the finals".Twilight replied while puzzling the answer on why they know about the song.Then everyone took a look at the song and was shocked.Before they asked,Sunset found a letter on the next page.She turned the paper around the clipboard and read the letter.

                  Dear Rainbooms,

                  If you see this letter,I'm just going to say sorry if we somehow change the songs of your choice of the finals.We looked at the songs and Ember burst a bit laughter at the songs you've chosen.(She still likes the song you're going to use on the first round of the competition.But she just doesn't want to show it.)So we change the songs for the second and third round.Hope that it will do you some good for the competition and don't keep us waiting on the finals.

The Rainbooms were just shocked about the letter.Except for Pinkie pie,Being called the greatest party planner,She bounced happily and throwing Confetti's everywhere.

"OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH...THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!"Pinkie shouting in excitement."Okay Pinkie,Stop shouting already".Sunset trying to calm Pinkie but she cannot here excitement.They all giggled.

"Now let's go win us some Battle of the bands".Rainbow said with a smile of pride."Yeah!"Everyone cheered.

They've entered the gym where the first round is held.They're up next,but they saw Ember and Moonlight talking.Then both of them walked out on the back.

"They're something fishy still going on between those two".Rainbow said."Let's just focus on the competition and well figure it out later".Sunset replied.

They're next,they got into their positions and get ready.Sunset nodding her head to Pinkie signaling to start.

After a successful first round,Sunset feels a grumble on her stomach."I think we should go to the cafeteria,I'm starving".She said.The others nodded.After their lunch,They were looking for a place to practice the newly changed songs.It didn't take them long to get to the music room.But after they opened the door.They saw Moonlight practicing with his guitar and Ember with her keyboard.

"So you like the new change?"Moonlight asked calmly."It depends on why your songs of choice were better than our pick".It doesn't look like Rainbow was asking."Believe me,I wouldn't have changed those song if I'm not sure you'll make it to the finals".Moonlight replied with calm like attitude.

"So lemme get this straight,You changed our songs so you can help us go to the finals?"Applejack asking a straight answer."No,we're not helping you,We're just merely boosting you so we're sure that you can go to the finals".Ember correcting Applejack.

"Since you girls are here,It's best if we leave now before we miss the third round".Moonlight announced."Wait,Your already on the third round?"Rainbow asked while still shocked.Moonlight and Ember nodded in agreement.

"Right before we came to Sweet Apple Acres,We're the first band to play".Moonlight said."And after we played and win the first round,We came to check on you".Ember added."And since you girls are last to perform on your side,After you all left it was our second round".Moonlight added again."And once again,win".Ember added once more before grinning."Come on Ember,We'll let them practice their songs in peace".Moonlight asked Ember,She nodded.

After their conversation,They started practicing for the second round.

After their practice,Flash and his band The Flashdrives,Saw Sunset and her friends.

"Hey Rainbooms".Flash greeted The Rainbooms."Hi Flash".Sunset greeted Flash."So what's going on while we're practicing?"She asked when she noticed when she saw them,Crystal preps Shadowbolts.

Everyone was shocked except for Twilight who hid behind Sunset."Well as you can see,Some Crystal prep students are here for some reason but we don't why".Flash said.

"Students please report to the gym".Principal Celestia announced on the speaker."Well we'll have our answer in the gym".Sunset said.Everyone nodded in agreement.

When the Rainbooms came to the gym,they we're surprised at what they're seeing.

"What in tarnation is going on here?"Applejack asked in confusion.They saw the crystal prep students talking with some of the CHS students."Whatever it is,It might be because of the event".Rarity replied while still surprised at what she seen.

Not awhile until they saw Moonlight and Ember on the stands having another conversation.But before they can come and ask what's going on,Principal Celestia was on stage.

On her right was Vice principal Luna.And everyone was surprise not just because the Crystal prep students were there,It because they saw Dean Cadance on the left of Celestia.

"Before we go further on the Competition,I just want to say welcome to Crystal prep for joining us to watch and I hope you'll be amazed of the talent CHS has to offer".She announced proudly.Everyone cheered.

"So without further ado,It's time for the final band to compete for a spot on the third round of the competition.Please give it up for The Rainbooms".Principal Celestia announced.

Sunset and the rest of the Rainboom came to the stage and we're ready to perform."You girls ready?"Sunset asked.They nodded.Sunset turned at Pinkie and nodded a signal to start.They're ready to begin their song called:Dance Magic.

Everyone cheered,Even Crystal Prep.Sunset and her friends exited at the back.When suddenly,Twilight was surprised to see their Crystal prep friends.Lemon zest,Sugarcoat,Indigo zap,Soursweets,ands Sunny flare.They hugged twilight.

"Hey guys,What are you doing here?"Twilight asked."We're here for the Battle of the Bands,duh".Indigo zap is the first to say to the group."Actually a friend of ours came to Crystal Prep and kinda ask Dean Cadance if we can go here".Sugarcoat added."Who?".Sunset asked.

"Me".From out of nowhere Moonlight replied while walking towards the group with Ember tagging along."Wait,You know each other?"Rainbow Dash confused.

Moonlight nodded in agreement."Hi Moonlight,You're looking good".Soursweet said in a happy way.Then she noticed Ember."And I see you brought Ember too".Soursweet added in her sour way."Nice to meet you too".Ember replied sarcastically.

Moonlight turned to the Rainbooms."Good job making on the third round".He said before putting a smile on his face."We'll be waiting at the finals".He added.

"Let me guess,You made it already?"Sunset asked.Moonlight nodded.

"We'll be cheering for you all".Lemon zest said."Right girls?"She added.They nodded."We have to go back now,Good luck at the thirdound.We'll be rooting for you Rainbooms".Sunny flare Said.

Then all the shadowbolts walked past them and gone inside the gym.Leaving the Rainbooms and Blazing Sparks.

"So did you planned this?"Sunset asked.Puzzled by the question,"What do you mean?"He asked.Sunset then raised an eyebrow."Not only did you changed the songs,But you ask Crystal Prep to come here for the event.I mean how did you actually do it?She asked again."To tell you the truth,Me and Ember are actually seniors of Crystal Prep a few years,Maybe after the Friendship games?"He asked Ember."What!?!"They all shout in shock."Yup,Principal Cinch and Dean Cadance actually know us for our knowledge and creativity.But Cadance known us for a long time".She said.

"So I  just ask if some of crystal prep would come here to watch the musical talents of CHS".He added.

After that he heard cheers inside the gym."I guess you girls might know the song already".Moonlight said.They nodded in agreement."With that answer,It's your time to shine once more and let them hear it".He replied.

And with that he smiled and walked back to the gym,Ember shortly followed."Well,you girls ready?"Sunset asked.They nodded in agreement.
