Twilight got up and out her bed, grabbing her Camp Everfree uniform (she was very organised) and began to change. Very quickly, she was ready, but something in the mirror haunted her. "Hello Twilight!" Twilight screamed and stumbled backwards, falling back onto he bed, and grabbing Sunset's attention. "Twilight?!" Sunset looked down, to see the purple nerd-girl on the floor, glasses hanging off her forehead. Twilight was breathing heavily, as if she received a sudden jumpscare, or a wake-up called from Pinkie Pie "Midnight Sparkle....I saw her! She was in the mirror." Sunset turned toward the mirror, and only saw Twilight's panicked expression. "All I see is your pretty little face." Sunset winked at Twilight, prompting a blush and a smile from her. "I understand it's difficult to get over, but I can help you." Sunset gave Twilight a re-assuring kiss on the cheek, and Twilight responded the same way. "Come on, let's go" Twilight said as the two girls walked out of the tent, and toward the docks. Later on during the day, Twilight was taking a relaxing walk through the woods, and eventually reached a darkened corner of the woods. Twilight backed her way into it, as this would give her an opportunity to help find herself, especially with a psychopathic she-demon living inside her head. Just as she closed her eyes to sleep a while, she heard a knocking behind her. She turned around, and saw Midnight Sparkle once again. "You REALLY think you can outsmart me? HA!!! I'd like to see you try!" Midnight cackled, prompting Twilight to try and run away, but to no avail, as Midnight soon had her by the neck. "You may think you can run and hide from me, but I will always follow you, because I am inside you!" Midnight sneered as a blue glowing horn soon sprouted from Twilight's head, and two wings emerged from her back. "I am a part of you, Twilight! And now, I am taking over!" Midnight laughed once again as Twilight began to take on her form, screaming before waking up, still in the dark wooded area. After recovering, Twilight burst into tears and ran back to the camp grounds. The Nightmares Just Get WorseTwilight lay in her bed, still, crying her poor eyes out. Sunset Shimmer was still outside, growing increasingly concerned about Twilight's mental state. Eventually, she went inside in an attempt to stop Twilight's crying. "Twilight, please. Tell me what happened. I know it's difficult, but you have to talk to someone about this." Twilight continued her crying spree for another 2 minutes, before eventually stopping and uttering the words, "She will return...", before burying her face in Sunset's chest, crying softly to herself. Sunset kept Twilight close to her, stroking her hair and comforting her the best she could. Eventually, Twilight stopped crying, having basically dried out her tear ducts, and looked at Sunset right in the eyes, bringing the two girls to share another kiss, this time a kiss of comfort, of relaxation and of course, love. Both girls pulled back shortly after, as it was getting dark. Both of them got changed, and Twilight tended to Spike's needs, and eventually went to sleep. Twilight found herself in yet another dreamscape, this time more akin to where she suffered a hallucination earlier in the day. The woods were dark, desolate, and Twilight came face-to-face with the fear-stricken version of herself, in Crystal Prep's uniform. As Twilight approached, she took a large step back as Midnight Sparkle emerged from the other Twilight, and the two were face to face again. Suddenly, the forest caught fire, and completely burnt away, until Twilight found herself within the confines of her mind once more. "You know I'm getting stronger, Twilight. You can't possibly deny it!" Midnight spoke as she approached Twilight from behind, grabbing her by her large ponytail and holding her up like a ragdoll. "I will return, Twilight, and when I do, I will NOT allow you to return to your miserable self!" Midnight sneered as she went inside of Twilight's body, causing the girl to recoil in pain, and she begun to change. Twilight's forehead began to glow, and a large blue horn emerged from it, hurting Twilight considerably. Two wings sprouted from her back, her glasses became blue flames surrounding her eyes. Her hair shot up and spread out, and her clothes changed to Midnight's outfit. Twilight grabbed her head as the final changes began to set in. "No.....STOP IT!! NO!!!!!" Twilight screamed, until she finally awoke from her sleep. Sunset jolted upward, and looked at Twilight, who had the most horrifying, fear-filled look on her face, and was too petrified to move or even look away from her own two hands. "Twilight..." Sunset said, hoping Twilight would snap out of her paranoia. Twilight finally managed to blink, before curling up, burying her face into her knees before saying, through her tears, "I'm a monster!" While she was out in the docks, she began to glow, which caught the attention of all the other students present, including Sunset Shimmer. She knew the nightmares were leading up to something, and this was it. Twilight's body began to glow, and pulsate with energy, until she began to take on a familiar, yet hauntingly familiar shape. "Sunset...please....HELP ME!!!" Those were Twilight's last words, before reverting back to her maniacal, demonic state. Sunset Shimmer looked in horror. Twilight Sparkle, the girl she cared about and loved, was gone. And in her place was the one being she despised. "Well, well, well, if it isn't Sunset Shimmer! As much as I'd like to take care of you right now, I have bigger plans to attend to! Oh, and I forgot to say, if you think you'll see your precious Twilight ever again, you thought wrong! She's NEVER coming back!" Everyone looked on in horror as Midnight's horn glowed and fired a large beam of energy into the sky, which then sent out a pulsating shockwave of energy behind Midnight. At first, it seemed to have done nothing, until the people began to dissipate into dust. Sunset looked all around her, watching her world splinter, leaving only the space occupied by her and Midnight. She could see Equestria as though she were there. Canterlot, Ponyville, the Crystal Empire, all areas were visible to Sunset. Midnight's laughter blocked the screams of the students as they vanished into thin air, one by one. The ground beneath her began to get smaller and smaller, fracturing the barrier between worlds. Sunset eventually grew faint, and fell to the ground. The last thing she heard was the maniacal, insane and echoing laughter of Midnight Sparkle.
