Author's Note

The arrival

Sonata was alone at the Dazzlings's house...again. As soon as she and her sister got home, Adagio and Aria quickly changed to their work clothes and went back out to work, leaving Sonata to herself. At least this time, she will have something to do at 9:30 pm. Right now it was 9:00, so Sonata was packing the necessities for the party. 'It was very nice of Pinkie to invite me to a party,' she thought to herself, 'maybe this might be a start of good friendship.' Sonata had recently been thinking about making friends with her and the others. However, Adagio and Aria still haven't let go of their grudge against them and refuse to see them eye to eye. "Well, I think that's everything I need. I better get going, don't want to be late." She grabbed her bag and went towards the front door, but when she opened it, she was surprised to see that Adagio was at the other side. "Adagio!? Your home early!?"

"Yes," Adagio said a bit tired, "a little incident happened at work, so my boss is letting me take the rest of the night off," she then noticed the bag Sonata was carrying, "but tell me, where are you going?"

"Oh, um, I was just gonna," Sonata pause for a bit to think of a good excuse, "take a little walk."

"A walk?" Adagio said with a raised eyebrow, unconvinced.

Sonata nodded, "Yea."

"A walk to where?"

"A walk to...the park."

"The park?"

"Yep."

"At a time like this?"

"That's right."

Adagio sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose, 'She is a terrible liar.' "Sonata, just tell me where are you going."

"I did."

"Sonata," she gave her a stern look, "Even you know as much as I do about how terrible you are at lying. So just tell me already."

Sonata gave a sigh of defeat, "Ok, I got invited to a slumber party."

"By who?"

"Pinkie Pie."

"Isn't she that pink haired drummer from the Rainbooms?"

Sonata nodded, "Yea."

"Why didn't you just say that before?"

"Well, I know that you and Aria still hate them for taking away our powers. So I thought if I told you two, you wouldn't let me go. But we haven't been doing anything fun since we lost our powers. Every time you and Aria come home from work, you're always too tired to do anything. I just wanted to have a little fun again."

Adagio thought about it for a bit. She and Aria have been neglecting her for a while. Even if their jobs are very tiresome, they could at least spend a little time with her. She sighed, "Get in the car."

Sonata looked confused, "Why?"

"I'm going to you to Pinkie's house."

Sonata eyes grew wide and she instantly grew a smile, "For Realzies!"

"Yes. Now don't get me wrong, I still despise those Rainbooms for what they have done to us, but I suppose that shouldn't mean I shouldn't let you hang out with them if you want."

That made Sonata really happy, so she gave Adagio a hug, "Thank you so much!"

Adagio rolled her eyes but hugged her back anyway, "Come on." They both exited the house and entered Adagio's car, She then started it, "So where is her house?"

"Oh yeah," Sonata reached into her bag and the paper that had Pinkie's address then handed it to her, "Here's the address." After a quick study of it, Adagio pulled out of the and drove over to Pinkie's house.

*Timeskip to Pinkie's house*

They've arrived, so Adagio parked in front of the house, "Here we are."

"Thanks again for taking me here Adagio."

"Your welcome Sonata," Sonata exited out of the car, "I'll pick you up in the morning."

"Ok," she and waved bye to Adagio as she drove back to their house. She then walked to the front door and gave it a quick knock. After a few seconds, someone answered the door, but it wasn't Pinkie, it was someone else, someone with gray skin and a blank expression, "Uh hi, is this is where Pinkie lives?"

The person turned around and called out with a monotoned voice,"Pinkie, someone's here to see you."

Pinkie came over to the front door with sky blue pajamas on. When she saw that it was Sonata, immediately gave her a hug,"You made it!" She then grabbed her wrist and pulled her to her room. "Come on!" They got to her room and there was some games, snacks, nail polish, make-up, movies, a couple of sleeping bags. "We're gonna have so much fun. But first, You should change into something more comfortable. You did bring something to change into, right?"

"Yea, their right here," Sonata showed her the bag, "but can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"Who was that person I just meet, is she your friend?"

Pinkie giggled, "No silly, that's my sister, Maud Pie."

Sonata was confused, "Your sister?"

"Yeah, One of the best sister I ever have!"

'She doesn't seem anything like her, but maybe I shouldn't ask about it,' Sonata brushed off the confusion, "Ok, so where's the bathroom?"

"Take a right and it will be the first door to your left."

"Thanks" she left the room to change. A few minutes, later she came back with her hair down and wearing fuschia colored pajamas.

"Hey, those pj's look cute on you."

Sonata blushed a little, "Thanks."

"Well, now that we're both in comfortable clothes, Let's get this party started!"
