Burning Darkness

It has been exactly 3 months since Ozore had taken over Canterlot, now he holds the entire land of Equestria at the base of his hooves. He has conquered every city and town, even the Crystal Empire was no match for his power. The Empire now lies buried in ice and snow, and Princess Cadence has been taken prisoner. As for the competition that Ozore had set up, many brave ponies had tried to defeat Ozore, but were no match and ultimately died. Even soldiers like Flash Sentry and Twilight's brother Shining Armor had tried their best but still lost their lives in the fight. So far it seems like there is no one who has the power to defeat Ozore. But there is a house that was hidden away from Ozore's sights, a house that well " housed" two stallions, one was Blazer, a stallion that about a year ago, retired from his role as a high ranking guard at Canterlot, so he can spend more time with his son Fire Flare after Flare's mother passed away. The second stallion, Blazer's son, is Fire Flare. Flare had been training for most his life under many teachers to become a royal guard for the Princesses of Canterlot. That is until Ozore came and took over Canterlot, so that dream flushed down the toilet. One day early in the morning, Blazer was about to leave the house, in his battle armor along with a spear, until he was stopped by his son's voice.

" Dad, where are you going?", Flare said in a serious tone.

" Flare, you know where I'm going", Blazer said.

" Yeah, and I'm not going to let you go", Flare shot back.

" Son please, just-", Blazer was about to plead, until he was cut off.

" NO, I'm not going to let you do this to yourself, it's suicide", Flare cried out. " Do you not know what Ozore is capable of, or has your hunger for battle finally blinded you"?

Blazer sighed," Flare, you and I both know what kind of threat Ozore is".

" And you're still going through with this, what are you trying to prove anyway", Flare asked.

Blazer gave Flare a stern look, " I'm not trying to prove anything, he needs to be stopped".

" And you think you're the one qualified to do it, he defeated the most powerful beings in Equestria, much more powerful than you. Do really think that you stand a chance", Flare asked.

" It needs to be done", Blazer said.

" Then let me come too", Flare pleaded.

" No, you're not ready for something like this", Blazer said.

" Yes I am, I've trained for years under Equestria's best teachers, let me fight along side you", Flare pleaded.

" I'm not going to let my own son die", Blazer said.

Flare then snapped, " AND I'M NOT GOING TO LET ANOTHER PARENT OF MINE DIE"!

Blazer was taken back by this, Flare rarely spoke about his mother ever since her death. Flare then transitioned from yelling, to sobbing .

" Please...don't do this...I...I don't want to be alone", Flare began crying.

Letting out a tear of his own, Blazer went and hugged his son.

" I love you Son", Blazer said tearing up as well

" I...I love you too Dad", Flare said still crying.

Flare cried in his Father's arms for about a minute, until Blazer broke the silence.

" Take care of yourself Flare".

Flare was taken back by this and was about to speak, until he felt extremely tired and passed out. Blazer had used a sleeping spell on Flare and put him into a deep sleep. Blazer then laid his son on the couch, Blazer then slowly walked out of the house, closed and locked the door. He looked back at the house one last time, and gave a small smile. And with that he used his magic to teleport himself straight to the Canterlot Castle.

When Blazer reached the Canterlot Castle, he never expected to see what was inside the throne room. When he opened the doors to the throne room, he was horrified at the sight. Dozens of bodies from previous challengers lying dead everywhere, blood stained the walls, floor, and pillars. Then he saw nine mares all chained up near the throne, Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Twilight Sparkle, and the rest of the mane six. And sitting on the throne was the one and only Ozore.

" Princesses, I...I thought you were-", Blazer said in a shocked voice, he was soon cut off by Ozore.

" Dead, well I was going to kill them, but I found out they were more useful than I thought, they make great servants, you know the gist, cooking, cleaning, and well...pleasurable purposes".  Ozore gave small, but sinister chuckle.

Blazer was shocked at what here just heard. Ozore then used his magic and pulled Rainbow Dash towards him.

" I'm particularly fond with this one, I've always found the feisty ones the most...attractive", Ozore stuck out his serpent tongue, and made a long lick along Dash's cheek.

But Rainbow Dash didn't retaliate or make any insulting remarks, she just stayed there, whimpering as Ozore did this to her. Blazer actually took a couple steps back, completely taken back at what he was seeing before him.

" You...sick, demented, bastard", Blazer said in disgust.

" Flattery won't save your life", Ozore said with a louder chuckle.

" ENOUGH", Blazer yelled, then he pulled out his spear," I am your challenger, now FIGHT ME".

Ozore just laughed," Very well, it's been boring all day, I've been dying to have some more action".

Ozore then summoned a black and dark purple sword out of thin air. With no more words, the two began to fight. They each countered each others attacks, each trying to gain the advantage. The two then locked weapons together.

" You have an excellent fighting style, combining both offence and defense in one swift movement, quite impressive, however...it won't protect you for too long", Ozore then laughed maliciously.

And without warning, Ozore began attacking Blazer with a barrage of attacks from every direction, it started overwhelming Blazer, until Blazer's spear broke. And in one swift move, Ozore impaled Blazer with his sword through the stomach. Blazer let out the loudest scream he'd ever made. A lot of blood was pouring out of the wound, and even more when Ozore removed the sword from the wound. Blazer lied there on the ground, wrapping his hooves around his stomach, and every time he let a sound of pain, blood escaped his mouth. Ozore just laughed and said.

" Now let's see how long your body will last until you break".

Flare woke up from his deep sleep, although still a bit drowsy, he was still able to compose himself. He examined the area and realized that he was still in his house. Flare then realized that his dad wasn't anywhere to be found, Flare then remembered what happened not so long ago and came to the conclusion where his dad was.

In a angry yet worried voice Flare said, " Dammit all".

And using his magic, Flare teleported himself straight to Canterlot Castle.
