The day has come, Mainhville High school starts the first day of after the opening on the school. Everyone was excited and eager to go in their first class. Except for Moonlight Spark, he's always in his usual mood when he stepped inside the school. He was walking towards his locker right before Quickfade jumped from behind that startled Moonlight.

"What did you do that for?" He asked Quickfade. His question was answered when he turned to him to see the rest of his friends: Lunar Heart, Sunshine, Night Shade, and Shadow Seer. He gave a small smile when he even saw his sister Ember Blaze at the group in her usual happy mood.

Lunar Heart walked towards Moonlight and hugged him. He respond with a hug.

When they let go, Lunar greeted him.

"Good to see you,Sparks." She said with a smile.

"Good to see you too,Lunar." Moonlight replied back with a small smile.

Moonlight walked towards his friends and his sister to greet them.

"What up,Sparks? Sorry for startling you." Quickfade greet him with a high five.

"It's ok,Fade." He replied with a smile and a high five.

"Hi there Moonlight!" Sunshine greeted and hugged him tightly. But he didn't bother.

"Likewise,Sunshine." He replied with a small pat to her head.

"Glad to see you again partner." Night Shade greeted him by tilting his cowboys hat.

"You too partner." Moonlight replied by a nod.

"Shadow..." Moonlight added to greet Shadow, who respond by a nod.

He and Ember smiled at each other.they're greeting comes to an end followed by silence, only hearing the other students. Moonlight is the one who broke the silence.

"So... What you guys up to?" He asked.

"Were about to go to the music room, before Quickfade spotted you and hope to surprise you." Ember replied looking at Quickfade who was smiling sheepishly and rubbing his neck.

"What about you?" Lunar asked Moonlight.

"Well I was going to store some of the stuff I have in the lock, other than that I'm free." He replied.

"When your done, just stop by the music room later at band practice." Quickfade said.

"Sure thing,wouldn't want to miss it." He replied with a smile.

"We should go to our first class guys, we don't have to wait Moonlight cause he doesn't go to school." Night said. Everyone stared at Moonlight after they realized what Night Shade said.

"What?" Moonlight asked.

"You don't go school?" Quickfade asked. Moonlight answered with a nod.

"Then why are you here anyway?" Shadow asked.

"I have a job here as an executive news writer remember?" He replied.

"Ohhhh." Everyone realized after what he said.

"I should go and check on our Principal." Ember said.

After their conversation, they separated ways.

Inside the Principal office, Discord was sharpening pencils and reading the school papers. When a knock on the door got his attention.

"Come in." He said. The door opened to see it was Ember. She walked inside and closed the door.

"Ahh... Ember, how may I help you today?" He asked.

"Well, classes has started and things are going just fine. I'm just checking to see if you've been doing absurd thing again, have you?" She asked with a blank stare.

"What are you talking about? I'm just here sitting while sharpening pencils and reading some school papers Moonlight made just to kill time." He replied.

"Well I hope you can control your urge to use your magic in those dimension. We don't want anyone knowing about this." She said strictly.

"Fine, I'll just use my magic when I needed it, like right now." He replied when he snapped his fingers, glass of chocolate milk just poof out of nowhere. When he drank, the glass was sipped instead of the chocolate milk.

"Don't even try to throw that chocolate milk and make a racket." She warned before Discord was about to throw it away.

"Ohh fine." He said in a pouty face. He snapped his fingers and the chocolate milk disappeared.

"That's better." She said with a smile.

All classes are done, most of the students gone home, some stayed and having conversation. Moonlight walked towards the music room. When he opened the door, he was surprised he was the only one in the room. He was confused at first then something was vibrating in his pocket. He took his phone that was making the vibration. It was a text from Lunar saying they're at the of the school. He ran through the hall to get outside.

"I wonder what's taking him so long?" Quickfade wondered.

"You think he would actually be here fast when he found the message?" Night Shade asked followed by raising his brown at Quickfade.

"How should I know? I'm not psychic." He replied.

Night just rolled his eyes. Just then the door opened revealing Moonlight panting.

"What happened to you?" Shadow asked Moonlight.

"My question is: Why are you all here? I thought were meeting at the music room." Moonlight asked, ignoring shadows question.

"Well, I know for a fact that private areas shouldn't be crossed, but clumsy Quickfade here entered the shack over there that it should be entered by school staff only." Lunar replied. "And he claimed that he saw a mirror there." She added.

This made Moonlight worry, they might know that it's a portal to Equestria. And no one should know except Discord, Ember l, and himself only.

"But it's true." Quickfade protest.

"What are you blabbing about? No one puts a mirror inside an old shack like that one." Night said.

"Yeah, don't be silly Quickfade." Moonlight added.

"I know what I seen, and I'm gonna find out what it is!" Quickfade replied loudly.

Moonlight stared blankly at Quickfade after his last sentence. The mood dropped when Quickfade got scared from Moonlight's stare.

"Look how about this?" Moonlight said. "Let's go find somewhere to eat and just forget about what happened just now, sounds alright with you guys?" He asked. Everyone nodded in agreement.

"I'll message Ember and tell her where we going." He added.

After he send the message, they all walked towards the front of the school.

"Where are we going?" Sunshine asked.

"Trust me, you'll know it when you see it. Come on." Moonlight replied. He took the car keys and unlocked his van. Lunar was riding in front, Moonlight was driving, and the others sat at the back of the van. Moonlight drove the van into the city and to their destination.
