Chapter 1: Something's Wrong

Twilight's P.O.V.

It's been almost a year since the dreams have continued and a lot of stuff happened since we discovered the map, StarLight becoming my pupil, my new (and first) niece Flurry Heart, and Dash finally becoming a Wonder Bolt. All that and the same dream keep popping up, almost every night. At first, It was blurry, hard to remember, but the more it showed up the clearer it became, and I soon knew the whole dream by heart. At first I just thought it was one of those 'Repeating Dreams', You know when you have that one dream that you have a lot) but with those it happened on  separate nights and you can eventually control that one dream, but with mine I can't control the dream it's just there and it appears every night. It doesn't feel like a dream... It's like a.... memory. A really old memory that got forgotten.

Well, That's what I think, anyway, Spike maybe right it's all in my head. Though I can ask Princess L-

"TWilight!!" Spike roars, breaking me out of my thoughts. "Huh, w-what is it." I said, alerted. I looked around and realized I was in the throne room and the map was out. "Oh.. the map who's going where?" Spike 'coughed' as he pointed to my cutie mark, which was pulsing. "Oh.. me.... Wait... ME!?!" I shouted with excitement. "Seems like it and it looks like nopony's going with you." Spike said. Wait, It's just me? "What?! Nopony's coming with me??!" I asked confused. "Looks like it." Spike answered, looking at the map, "Hey, Twilight do you know that place where you gotta go to?" He asked me. I looked at it to see

My cutie mark which looked like it was behind the Smokey Mountains. "No, I never seen or heard of that place before." I said softly. I wonder why I haven't seen it on any other map of Equestria.

"So it's undiscovered?" Spike said, questionably. "Maybe, but why would the Map send us- I mean me to a undiscovered land for a friendship problem?" I said confused. Spike just shrugged "We should contact the others and ask them, Spike you get Starlight she should be at Rarity's." Spike soon rushed out...floating. I stood by the map and said to myself, "Okay, then, I guess I'll get Pinkie pie and the others." I started to concentrated on my magic to call them until a cheerful voice, came from outside the doorway, broke me out of it saying,"No need, We're here." I shrieked while a bolt of magic blasted a hole in the ceiling. I turned around to see Pinkie pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash, by the doorway. "H-hi girls." I greeted, a bit shaken.

Dash chuckled as she hovered over to me. "You okay there, Twi?" She asked still chuckling. I nodded and started to fix the hole that was in my ceiling. "Yeah, though you'd think I'd be use to that by now." I said, jokingly. Applejack soon started to chuckle as well and said, "That's mighty true, Twi. Though Ah'm wondering why we're all here." "Right, but we have to wait for Rarity, Spike, and Starlight." I told her. "S-Starlight? Oh my, It must be something wrong if Starlight needs to come as well." Fluttershy said.

"Well, It's not really that serious."  Fluttershy nodded her head and relaxed a bit after a few seconds Rarity and Starlight came trotting in.

"Oh, Twilight, I've heard everything, from Spike, You just simply can't go alone!" Rarity exclaimed putting her front hooves on my shoulders. I looked at her then looked at Spike with a silent glare. 'So much for asking/telling them myself.' I thought to myself. I sighed and said to Rarity before she can start a small rant. "Rarity, I'm gonna stop you right there. That's the reason I asked for all of you here." I told her as soft as possible. She nodded her head as she walked to her seat and sat down. I looked at Starlight as she went by mine's and sat down. 'Hmm... Maybe I should make her one too.' I silently thought. "Okay, Now that everypony's here." They all stop and stare at me. "It's time for me to explain why I asked for you. The map has chosen me to go to an... how can I put it... an undiscovered...land. That is if you guys seen or heard of this place." I asked as I put my hoof on the spot the map showed. They all looked at it and looked thoughtful.

"I've never heard it before." Fluttershy said quietly, luckily I could hear it. 'It's nice she's not as shy as she was when I first met her.' I smiled abit at the memory. "Ah' didn't hear about it before either." Applejack said. "Sadly me neither ." Dash told me. "I haven't gone there before but it looks like a place to have a big outdoor party!" Pinkie exclaimed, excitedly. I let out a small chuckle. "I never even seen it on a map before, Darling." Rarity told me sadly. I looked at Starlight. "Well I've never seen it on a map before" she said., I looked down at the floor until she soon says, "But I think I've heard about it before, If that is what I think it is." I looked at Starlight both with joy and confusion. "Really?!" We all, minus Starlight, said in unison. She rubs the back of her head and says, nervously, "Y-yea." She got up and walked out to where it looked like the library. After a few minutes she came back with a medium-sized midnight blue book. "It's in here." She said while putting the book by the map and flipped the pages. "Here" she says as she stops and points at a page. "Is that... a map??" I asked. She shook her head and says,"Well, it's more like a sketch." I looked at her with confusion and asked, "A sketch? Of what?"  Starlight looked at me then back at the page,

"Of the Garden of

Shadows. This is a sketch of how it looks in daylight and at night."

"I see." that was all I could say. "All it says about it's origin was that a few fillies and foals disappeared one came back she wouldn't tell her whole story but she told some of it, Which was 'We fillies and goals were taking to the Garden of Shadows.' Ponies tried to find it but they never came back if they did then they turned either corrupted or insane. It's well hidden the map might be taking you somewhere el-" She didn't get to finish when she say my cutie mark pulse. It went to from where it was before but then drifted, making a path along the way, to the sketch in the book. After a few moments of silence, I said, "Well, looks like I'm going to the Garden of Shadows."
