Discord rolled his shoulders, frowning as he tried to loosen up the damned tuxedo that he was wearing. Out of all the traditions that he’d found in this place, this had to be one of the worst. He didn’t even know why he had to wear one. He was pretty sure Rainbow Dash was in shorts for Harmony’s sake!

He looked down at the tie in his hands, frowning as he tugged on it again. Just like last time, the back was too long, making the actual tie look pitifully small. He had practiced tying the damn thing for the last week, but now he couldn’t do it for some reason, and he was supposed to be ready soon.

A small creak from behind him brought his attention away from the infuriating article of clothing, and instead brought a smile to his lips. One of the grooms’men’ was smiling at the doorway, in her own tuxedo. Of course, for Pinkie, she’d just jumped into a pile of clothes and came out immaculately dressed, including with a tux that complimented her rather flatter chest quite well.

She sauntered in, keeping a hand on her hips as she shook her head. “You look ridiculous with that tie on you know.”

Discord narrowed his eyes, before beginning to work on getting it undone for the fifth time. He just had to focus a bit harder on it. “I’m not really one for formal attire you know, so you’re lucky to see me in it at all.”

Pinkie rolled her eyes, before hopping onto one of the dressers within the dressing room, swinging her short legs as she rested her chin on her hands. “No I’m not, and you know it.”

Discord glanced at her, before cursing as he realized he let go of the knot for a moment. “Oh, and for what reason do you have to believe that I should be wearing this?”

“The same reason that’s stopping you from just using your magic to fix that tie.”

Discord stopped at the words, his eyes slowly drifting towards Pinkie. It was only for a second, but he knew he was already doomed. Nothing got past Pinkie when she was trying to watch someone. “How… How did you know?”

Pinkie raised an eyebrow, before leaning back against the wall and grinning. “I’ve ‘known’ you for four years, and you’ve known me for one. Are you really all that surprised that I would notice the changes you made, or how things are more fun around you?”

Discord snorted for a moment, amused at her choice of words. “Well you make it out like I just use my powers willy nilly. You don’t think I’m that frivolous, are you?”

Pinkie giggled as she hopped down from the dresser, her hands spread out as if in defeat. “I do suppose you might be right. It’s not like they’re the reason why you got red carpet tickets for the movie we all wanted to see, or had an uncle that paid for the cruise we all took after graduation. Or,” she said with a massive grin, “when Fluttershy’s one piece turned into a bikini somehow.”

Discord’s cheeks turned a bright red as he flattened out the tie against the desk in front of him, making sure it wasn’t starting to get wrinkly. “I got punched for that last one you know, despite just trying to help our dear little flower blossom a bit.”

Pinkie laid her elbows on the table, looking up at him with slightly sad eyes. “Yeah. I wish she didn’t have to be so afraid about her body too.”

For a moment, Discord was quiet, before he set the tie down and leaned against the wall. “Okay, why are you here? I thought it might be just to tease me, but I’m starting to guess that that’s not quite true.”

The pink girl was silent for a few moments, before she tried to take on a very poor Italian accent. “Well, I thought with this being a wedding, and you being so powerful, I might-” She stopped as Discord placed a finger over her lips.

He leaned in close to her, her eyes centimeters from Pinkie’s. “If I was just my progenitor, I might appreciate that, but I am not. I can see how afraid you are. How nervous. You’re never nervous.”

Pinkie looked down, swinging one of her legs lazily before she sighed. “With everything going on, I finally wanted to talk to you about this, because you’re moving forward, but… The rest of the world isn’t.”

Discord blinked, confused by what she could mean. Sure, his life would be interesting after all of this, but the rest of the world wasn’t his issue, or hers for that matter. Why would she even try to worry about something so big? “Look, I don’t do that stuff. Adding chaos to the world… That’s not my style. I just want to help my friends, and that’s it.”

Pinkie bit into her cheek, before standing back up and putting her hands on her hips. “And do you think that having people be open is chaotic? Do you think a world that would actually compliment and respect Fluttershy for her body, or not judge Rainbow for being mostly a lesbian, is chaotic?”

Discord opened his mouth, before pausing. His mind went back to all the times he saw Fluttershy run away from showing herself, including the bikini incident, and how Rainbow Dash had only recently come out to all of them that Discord was maybe the one guy she’d consider fucking, and that was only because of how good friends they were. To be able to get rid of all that… “What is it you want, exactly? What do you wish for?”

Pinkie swallowed hard, staring at him, before nodding. “I want an open world. A world that doesn’t fear other’s sexualities, and embrace their own. I wish for a world where we can all love each other.”

Discord breathed in, snapping his fingers, despite the fact that he knew that, like always, he was gonna get punched for breaking her rules. This was something he would do on the day of his wedding. “Now, help me with my tie, because if I’m late getting out there, I’ll be dead before I say “‘I do’.”

Pinkie smiled, grabbing his tie casually, before her hands became a blur. However she tied his tie made no sense to him, and her tightening it led to his eyes bulging out of his skull. When she was done though, it was perfect, just like his.

Pinkie patted his chest, smiling still. “Thank you, Discord. I know I could have chosen a better time, but-”

Discord placed a finger on Pinkie’s lips, smiling himself. “Hey, it’s just one more thing that will make this day better, so why would I have said no?”

Pinkie nodded, before the two walked out of the changing room, and into the church courtyard waiting for them.
