Discord's Gifts
Year 0-5
Previous ChapterDiscord turned the corner, spotting the fragment of Equestrian magic that he had felt before. It was that bacon haired girl. The one who had bumped into him. The one that Harmony had shown him. The one he needed.
He raised on hand, snapping as he caused the lights in the hallway to begin flickering. The girl let out a small curse as she looked up at the ceiling, before at him. A deep scowl crossed her face, and she spat, “What do you want, new kid? Didn’t I warn you about crossing paths with me?”
Discord shook his head, waving his hand in front of him. He could see more about her. A student of Celestia who had seeked more. A mare who was blind to friendship, just like he had been only moments. “Sunset, you’re a smart mare. Do you really think I’m just some new kid?”
Sunset stopped for a few moments, before closing her locker and placing her hands on her hips. “Do you think you scare me? Do you think you can scare me?”
Discord took in a deep breath, before his eyes opened wide. His essence felt the strain of what he did, but for the first time, he was happy for the pain. It meant progress, effort, there was reason behind it. And that reason would lead to the chaos needed for happiness. “I think you’re already scared.
The ground shook as he stepped forward, green and purple energy flowing from his hands and eyes. The ground cracked underneath his magic, before the walls parted, showing an illusion of chaotic space beyond. He could never actually create such a dimension, but she had no way of knowing that.
Sunset stepped back, her eyes wide as she stared at him. “What… what are you?”
Discord stepped forward, forcing her back with each step. Closer and closer she came, using all he could to show her the path he had found. Fear and pain to show her how alone she was. “I am a shard of chaos, sent here to destroy this world, and use its power. Much like what you wanted to do, but without the need of trinkets.”
Sunset looked to her sides, before her hands curled into fists. Her body shook for a few moments, before she bent her knees and raised her fists. Despite how tough she was trying to look though, he could see the tears in her eyes. “D-don’t think I’ll just give up on my plans!”
Discord lifted hand, watching her flinch as he snapped. Instead of ripping her asunder though, he made his illusions fall, his power rising within him as he put it back. He would need all power that he could get for his plan though. “I don’t expect you to simply give up on your plans for free. Instead, I wish to offer you a deal. One that will have both of our goals end here. Or,” he said with small smile, “three years ago to be more precise.”
Sunset’s body still twitched and fidgeted, not willing to put it’s only weapons down as she listened to him. She glanced to the side again, before hanging her head down, and whispering, “W-what do you want?”
Discord flew forward, becoming a brown blur before his hand grabbed her head.
And then, Sunset saw a picture of the five girls she had ripped apart to begin her reign. They were good friends, but a few creative lies and numbers she had gotten from her now ex-boyfriend had broken them apart, and she could see the picture beginning to fade
And then, it stopped. It began to reverse on itself, just before all the color was gone. The picture wasn’t the same this time though. Now it had two new members in it. One who was whistling while causing Rainbow to start falling over, and the other standing tall beside Fluttershy.
It was Discord and her, and the sight filled her with an odd warmth.
“This can be your history. This can be our history. Neither one of us wants to hurt anyone. We want recognition, to feel like we belong, and we’ve been blinded by what we believe is right. Do you truly feel like you belong by hurting others.
“I… I…” she couldn’t respond, trying to blink back the tears that now came down her face. Another photo came up, with Pinkie trudging along in the gymnasium as she worked on a party. When it did as the first though, Rarity, Discord, Pinkie, and her were all there, with Rarity covered in glitter from a party cannon misfire. The memory made her giggle, and the tears came down harder.
“If I go much further, I won’t have the power to stop the changes. To reverse them to what they were before. You’ll be stuck with these friends, with me, and with no desire to hurt others. Are you okay with that?”
Sunset didn’t respond to his voice, but instead stepped forward, walking towards another picture as it came. It was already fading back into existence, showing her with Rainbow and Applejack, laughing at a stupid lamp that Discord had made for the silent auction. It didn’t sell well, and she remembered smacking him for being an idiot. At least, before he pulled out one that was shaped like her and Celestia, holding each other.
Then came Fluttershy showing her how to take care of the animals at the shelter, with Discord getting thumped on the head by Angel while he took care of others. He was a natural with animals, but probably only because he was still in spirit one. It was after that Discord showed her that he could offer her back through the portal.
She let her tears fall openly, stepping across the threshold of no return as Discord let her see Celestia, even if it meant that he had to sit on the statue for three days, doing nothing else than keeping the portal open so she could come back. Of course, she had rewarded him with a deep kiss for that.
And then the cruise! It was still one of her greatest memories, especially the beach party on the last day. In the light of tiki torches and the moon, Discord had gotten onto one knee for her. Two outcasts, two people who had always felt different then others, like they weren’t enough, and now they could make up for each other’s weaknesses, and make each other whole.
The wedding that had come afterwards was definitely proof of it. Seeing him in that tuxedo, swearing to follow her words and make her feel like the princess she always deserved to be had made her happier than any words of praise or power she’d gotten before. It didn’t stop him from getting punished for using magic on their special day.
Married life was interesting of course. Discord tried to be faithful at first, but he was a mess because of it. Any outing with friends caused him to start tweaking out by the end, constrained by the jokes he no longer could make. Luckily, he finally broke down when he sent him to hang out with Applejack, and he’d fondled her tits. She could still see how devastated he was by it when his face had almost fallen off upon seeing her.
Of course, Sunset was almost as crafty as him, and it was all to her plan. He was adventurous, and she wanted to be close to her friends too. Only their friends though. If she ever found him with some no name slut like Trixie, his balls were going to be gone about five seconds before she was.
It did work out of course. Discord loved her, and it was in part his desire to be friends with the others, while chaotic with his loins, that led to his desires. It didn’t help that the world begun to change because of the spell he cast on their wedding day. She could still remember how awkward of a day it was for everyone when public nudity was allowed. Let’s just say that it’s not for everyone, and there were some who everyone wished it wasn’t for.
Not that the Olympics turned back to being in the nude, even with how smoking hot Rainbow was after her wish with Discord. Actually, it took another week for Sunset to be able to taste that hot bod with giant tits, and Discord got punished again for not letting her join in on that. Of course, it was all in good fun, and she was privileged enough to remember that flat chested Rainbow had ever existed.
Just like she’d been privileged to steal Discord’s heart before the one that she had always feared he wanted took it first. She stopped at the two pictures for that. One of her and Discord sitting in their bedroom, holding their hands, before the next showed Fluttershy and her holding hands. Hearing Fluttershy say yes like she did that night told her the other woman’s feelings were genuine, and it meant the world to her that Fluttershy had a big enough heart to let her stay, as she’d been ready to lose Discord.
And now she opened her eyes one last time. Her and Fluttershy were standing in front of a nice house in the woods. The trees reached high, making sure no one would be spying on them anytime soon, but they were also just a nice touch to the natural setting.
She was in a t-shirt and jeans, just as she almost always been. They were boring, sure, but she thought of them as comfortable, and when you’re husband gives you the ability to change your shirt at will, you could have some awesome jokes on it. Besides, it was tight on her chest, and could make anyone blush when she really wanted to flaunt it.
Fluttershy wasn’t the same, not on her days off. The difference between porn star Fluttershy and her as a mother made her seem like two different people. One that could dress as a whore, or in nothing, and one that wore long sundresses that muted her looks, except for the fact that she was simply beautiful.
She stepped closer to the other mare, wrapping an arm around her waist as she smiled. They both looked out to the car that was coming down the road, their hearts telling them who it was. Well, that, and the same stupid lamp from high school being his hood ornament.
When Sunset really thought about it, while it had hurt a year ago, it made sense. The two of them reflected his sides, just like that stupid ornament. Enough peacefulness and desire to help that it could stay up and be practical, just like Fluttershy was. Where as she was wild, her own person, as chaotic as they could come, but with a good enough heart not to hurt others.
For a moment, tears stinged the edges of her eyes, and a well of sadness seemed to spring from nowhere. There was no reason for it. What she was think were happy thoughts. Thoughts that made her heart race.
But they also reminded her of a part that she felt distant from. For a moment, she saw her standing in front of her. The one who was angry, the one that wanted to conquer. She had left Equestria for a reason after all. She wasn’t a good person.
Her head lowered as she tried to shake the thoughts. She wasn’t that person anymore. She was good, kind, helped those around her. The mean witch was gone, even if she couldn’t actually remember why it had ever left. What had changed her life. It seemed so important, so rough, but it wouldn’t come!
“Sunset, are you okay?”
She looked up, staring at the green eyes that looked down at her. The green eyes that had always helped her. Always pushed her to do more, and be the best she could be.
And, for one moment, she remembered what had happened the first year she had arrived at Canterlot High. How she was so scared for those first few days, but she wasn’t smart about the portal. She knew it could take her away, far away, to a place where she could be strong. But when she came back to it, wanting back in Celestia’s arms after four days, she found it closed.
And, like then, she felt hands on her shoulders, those green eyes, and a warmth in her chest that told her it would be okay. She reached up, sliding her hand onto Discord’s cheek as she smiled. “I am. Just remembering on all you’ve given me.”
Discord grinned. “Well, if my gifts make you cry, I’ll stop.”
Sunset shook her head playfully smacking his cheek before she turned away, not wanting to let him see the giant smile that his jokes always gave her, and the gift he had promised to her since the day they had met.
