FIM Year #1

There was a 10 minute break in between second and third period, so Twilight and the girl had some time to talk with each other. After Twilight went to the restroom to get the spitwads out of her hair, she went to go talk to the cowgirl.

"I-I'm sorry. My hair was soaking wet."

"It's fine, I understand. So, what's yer name pardner?"

"My name is Tw-Twilight."

"Nice to meet ya Twilight." The girl said as she shook Twilight's hand. My name is Jackie, but my friends just call me Applejack." The cowgirl replied.

"Applejack?" Twilight said confused.

"Yeah pardner." Applejack replied. "My family and I work on an the family apple farm, we call it Sweet Apple Acres. Ya know the apple juice that comes with the school lunch? That is actually made on our farm."

"Really? That's pretty neat."

"Yup. Been in our family for generations and generations." Applejack confidently replied. "So anyways, I've been meaning to ask if ya wanna hang out with my friends and I during lunch? Applejack asked as she rubbed her chin "It's sure better then eating alone, especially with Kelly and all."

"I guess that's the safe thing to do. I don't want Kelly to throw anymore spitballs at me." Twilight said nervously, droplets of timid sweat trickled down her skin.

Suddenly as the two were talking, a young girl passed by them but stopped in her tracks upon Twilight.

"Heeeeeeeey there!!" The girl yelled out, "You're new here! Welcome to Canterlot High School!"

"Umm.. Yes.. How could you tell I'm new here?"

"I know everyone in this whole school. I never seen you before." The pink girl yelled excitedly.

"All 700+ students!!" Twilight said shocked!

"Yessie!" She excitedly yelled "Oh! My name is Pinkie, what's yours?"

"Twilight"

"Nice to meet you Twilight! We'll be best friends forever! I see you already met Applejack. Wait! I have a great idea! I'll throw you a welcome party this weekend, It'll be amazing!!"

"Umm... I'd rather just study in the library."

"A library party? I don't really go there that much, they always tell me to be quiet. Besides, what's a party in a boring place like a library? We should have it at my house, then you'll become a happy girl with a ton of friends."

"One step at a time." Twilight nervously added.

Suddenly the bell for third period rang. "Well, I'll be seeing ya Twilight." Applejack said as she and Pinkie went off to class. As Twilight feared, Kelly was there as well and she gave Twilight the same attitude as the previous classes.

Kelly put her hands on her hips, in mock sadness. "C'mon Twilight, you're making me sad. Why are you ignoring me? I was just playing around with you."

Twilight sighed and continued to ignore what Kelly was saying. Kelly turned to her friends, speaking in a loud voice. “Hey, guys? I don’t think Twilight is having a good day today… Maybe we can help her?"

Before Kelly could get the chance to throw another spitball at Twilight, she was stopped by a fancy purple haired girl.

"Now now, let's not do anything regrettable darling. That girl has not done anything wrong, although her fashion could use some work."

"Then maybe I'll throw a spitball at you then." Kelly replied with a smile on face.

"Actually, there will be spitballs thrown at nobody." The teacher said, irritated. He walked straight to Kelly's desk, this is the only warning I'm going to give to you.

"This is exactly what you get for threatening to throw a spitball at my hair. I am the class president after all." The purple haired girl said with a grin.

The third period bell rang, and it was now time for lunch. Twilight followed the fancy purple haired girl.

"Umm.. Thanks for saving me, and my hair."

"You are quite welcome darling. You know, the one thing that I cannot stand is a bully like her."

"So, you said that you were the class president?"

"You must be new here. My name is Rarity, and I am class president, as well as the founder for the school Fashion Club."

"Wow. You must be very well known."

"What about you, dear?

"M-my name is Twilight."

"Nice to make your acquaintance Twilight." Rarity replied. "Anyways, would you like to have lunch with me? It is quite safer than you eating alone"

"W-well. Another girl named Applejack already.."

"Applejack? I know Applejack, I have lunch with her along with my other friends as well."

Twilight and Rarity arrived to the cafeteria and sat down on the table to have lunch. There were two other girls sitting as well.

"Oooh! Twilight's here too!" Pinkie yelled excitedly, clapping her hands together.

"Glad you could show up." Applejack added.

"So, about the party. I was thinking we could have it at my house tomorrow night, Applejack can make an apple pie and Rarity can decorate and..."

"Pardon? You need me to decorate what Pinkie?" Rarity questioned.

"Don't question it Rarity." Applejack replied. "Once Pinkie creates a plan, she won't stop."

"Hey scooch over, will ya?"

A girl with dyed rainbow girl went over the table and sat down next to Applejack, next to her was a timid pink haired girl wearing a yellow tanktop.

"Hey hey! Who's that chick over there?"

"O-oh. My name is Twilight Sparkle."

"Nice to meet ya. My name is Rainbow Dash. And this is Fluttershy."

"H-hi." The timid girl said shyly.

"Rainbow Dash is the leader of the track team, she can run miles around everyone." Pinkie added. "She's well known around the school."

"Oh. That's pretty cool." Twilight replied.

"Oh! And the girl next to her is Fluttershy, she is the school's head gardener."

"Was she the one responsible for the school's garden?!" Twilight said amazed.

"Yep yep!" Pinkie yelled out

"Y-you don't need to give me all that attention." Fluttershy blushed.

"Umm.. Excuse me." Another girl tapped Twilight on the shoulder. "Can you please move over a little?"

Twilight moved over as a girl with red and orange hair moved next to her.

"Hi. My name is Sunset Shimmer. Are you new to this school?" The girl asked. "Pinkie told me that she never saw you around."

"Yeah." Twilight said blushing "My name is Twilight. Pinkie sure seems to know everyone"

"Yeah, It's quite cool isn't it" Sunset replied to Twilight. "Applejack told me that Kelly was giving you a hard time, she is always a handful to deal with."

"You're telling me." Twilight said, her hair still a bit wet from the spitball.

"I used to be like her once." Sunset said. "Throwing spitballs and stuff."

Suddenly, the bell rang for the next class. "Quite a crazy bunch, but they are quite approachable." Twilight thought to herself.

Twilight's Home

August 31st 20XX:

Twilight returned home from the busy school day. "The first day is always tiring." Twilight thought to herself as she arrived in her room. Her brother Spike was already in there.

"Spike! What are you doing here? Are you looking through my stuff?"

"What? Who do you think I am?" Spike retaliated.

"Get out of my room!!"

"Alright alright." Spike said as he left the room.
