Under The Moonlight(Chapter Three)

He never saw himself as one, as a hero, as a living being. He saw himself as a god, he was called that many times by his kind. He wasn't used to it. He called himself a god because he wasn't afraid to die for others, wasn't scared about death. He was scared about fighting at first, but he got used to the feeling about fighting, hold a sword and a shield, riding a horse, and so much more.  He would find himself each night, before he arrived here, staring at the night, at the stars, looking for his parents. He found himself doing just that one night, staring at the stars. It was like he was waiting to see the undead once more and see the very one that gave him lessons about fighting. But he never did see him again.

He wouldn't speak, the moon was shining brightly, as if it was saying time to head in and rest up. He didn't need sleep, he didn't need rest...He need to think. To think about what was happening with his life, to think about his future in Hyrule if he ever went back. Would he be able to see Zelda once more? The very person he saved from the king of evil? To see his friends, to see Epona. His beloved Epona. The one he raised, was born with. He missed her more than anything. But she was in care with whoever was with her right now.

He never got why he was called Human. He was Hylian. There was a difference, not a huge one, but a difference between the two races. He never told them though, he wasn't sure how they would react. He wasn't afraid to find out, but it would be nice telling at least one of them. He saw a shadow under the moonlight and looked up. Something was flying, he didn't have anything on him except his shield and sword so he had no other weapons. Until the thing landed, his worries vanished when he saw the dark furred Princess.

"Oh, it's just you." Link sighed, "Thought you were someone else."

"Really now?" Luna asked, Link nodding, "Is something wrong?"

"Nothing really, just thinking about stuff."

"I see," Luna started, "Well, why are you out here? I would assume you were inside."

"I used to do this all the time when I was younger," Link admitted, "It calmed me and made think about things I would be less worried about."

Luna nodded in understanding, she sat beside Link as he told her about his childhood. But he never told her about his parents, he had no idea who they were, he only knew about their deaths. He would stop at hard parts to explain and find words to say, in the end he would be looking at the night sky. He looked over each star and tried to find his parents but couldn't, he sighed and looked at the night Princess.

"I thought you would be inside sleeping." Link said, he heard Luna sigh, "What? What's wrong?"

"I'm awake during the night," Luna told him, "I raise the Moon and set it each night."

"Oh, sorry." Link apologized, not knowing, "I didn't know. I'm not used to this kind of thing."

"It's alright."

"If you don't mind me asking, do you ever feel lonely at night?" Link asked, "Y'know how sometimes others do? You don't have to answer!"

"....Sometimes I do. But other times I don't."

"Oh, well it's the same for me each night." Link admitted, "When I was saving Hyrule by myself, I would feel lonely, scared I wouldn't make it, but I always found myself staying alive. Somehow."

"It seems like you were strong and made it through," Luna said, smiling, "Must've been hard for you."

Link nodded, thinking back to when he had to fight the king of evil. He couldn't believe that he won and saved Hyrule, saved Zelda and so many others. He was glad that he made it through, still had his life. Then he remembered the Triforce of Courage, the very piece of the Triforce that he had. He took a look at his hand and found it, he smiled and looked at Luna.

"Y'know, even though I'm far from my own kind, I still feel like I'm at home."

"Really?" Luna asked, "Nice to know that. We saw you train the guards earlier. You were much kinder on them than Shining Armor ever was."

"Seriously? No wonder why they looked scared." Link frown at the thought of Shining Armor pushing the newbies to the edge, "Well, I would be happy to do it again."

He saw a small smile on the Princess' face, he looked at the sky and for a moment, he swore he saw his parents. He looked at the Princess and saw her sad face, when he was about to ask, she told him that she need to go. He didn't get why and yet he wanted to cheer her up. Link got up and went back inside the Castle, he didn't talk to anyone.

He would see many guards going in for the night and he soon found himself outside of two big doors. The throne room doors. He sighed and walked away from them, he walked around the Castle until two guards lead him somewhere he could sleep. He was use to sleeping in his clothes, so he did just that. Maybe being here wouldn't be bad as he thought.
