Equestria Girls: SpyHunter

It had only been a week since the whole fiasco at Camp Everfree, but that week felt more like a month to Sunset Shimmer and the rest of her friends who felt like they had been on a roller coaster of a stay there, in fact, it was, as one could say. In the process of their stay, they gained new powers that in the end helped them defeat Gloriosa Daisy, a camp counselor who ended up letting the power of Equestrian magic take too much control and ended up causing more damage than what good she intended to do. But as per usual for the girls, she was stopped and in the end managed to help her save Camp Everfree from being turned into a spa. Now since then things had been rather quiet for the seven. Nothing new and exciting had been happening ever since the week they returned from Camp. However, not just no more that a week later, the Humane 7 and the rest of CHS would be in for a surprise like no other....

In the outskirts of the city...

Driving through the countryside, a G-6155 Interceptor was pressing on the gas. The driver inside had got a message on his car which was reminding him to investigate the weird things happening at Canterlot High School, but more specifically, spy on students Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity. Pulling up their profiles in his car he also had a secondary objective of meeting up with former agent Sweetie Drops, whom he pulled out her profile as well, and work with her to spy on the seven. What warranted them being spied on? Well, it has something to do with footage being leaked onto the internet and said footage trying to be disproved by the school's staff at being fake. However the footage said otherwise as in every piece of footage, the camera persona nearly died. The agent knew his objectives, and the agent knew he had to do it, for it was a matter of national security. Suddenly, his train of thought was interrupted by his car alerting him to Nostra presence in the area. The agent only smirked as he turned on the Interceptor's defenses. Two machine guns then came up from the hood of the Interceptor and at the same time from the alleyways came two black 1946 Triumph Roadsters, otherwise known as switchblades because of the blade that came from the side of it, and three black and red 1937 Delahaye 135MS roadsters, otherwise known as Dead eyes due to the large machine gun that came from the back of it and the two from the headlights.

"Seriously? Switchblades and Dead eyes? After all I've been through, being with IES, and trying to stop them at every turn you'd think Nostra would learn by now that their simplest of henchmen ain't enough," The Agent sighed as he found himself surrounded.

But not for long, because the two Dead eyes and Switchblade behind him were quickly gone and destroyed because the agent had turned on the oil slick and quickly got rid of them leaving only the Dead eye and Switchblade in front of him which were quickly mowed down by his own machine guns.

"No challenge at all," The Agent said a little cocky.

Suddenly hearing the sound of an eighteen wheeler behind him, the agent looked to see a huge 18 wheeler truck, minus the back trailer, heading for him.

"That's more like it!" The agent said happily as he slammed on the gas.

But as he did he passed by a sign reading, "WELCOME TO CANTERLOT." The agent managed to catch a glimpse of said sign and smirked as his destination came ever so closer.

Meanwhile back at CHS....

The hallways were quiet, the students were in their assigned classrooms, everything was looking like it was supposed to be like a normal high school. And then.... RIIINNNG.... all hell broke lose when the school bell rang, just like always. Students piled out of the classrooms quickly, some chatting with friends, some getting the stuff out of their locker, some doing both, I applaud those multitaskers, and some having a chat with their teachers either trying to smooth their way towards a greater grade or downright complaining about said grade they got. It was all just seemingly like a normal day. But this is Canterlot High School, there's always something abnormal going on over there somehow someway.

"OW!" Flash Sentry yelled as Sunset slammed her locker door right into his face

"Flash! Oh, my god, I'm so sorry!" Sunset said checking up on her friend, "Are you alright?!"

"Yeah I'm fine, it's my fault, though, I snuck up on you without giving ya a heads up warning," Flash said rubbing his nose.

"Well, um, why did you come to see me anyways?" Sunset asked.

"Didn't you get the news text earlier today?" Flash said, "The news stations' are reporting old 1940's roadsters destroyed just outside the city and an 18 wheeler totally demolished near town hall!"

"Wha?!" Sunset said before checking her phone, "Oh my god you're right! Who or what could've done this?!"

"Ya think it has something to do with Equestrian Magic?" Flash asked.

"I don't know, and I hope it's not," Sunset said, "we just got through dealing with Equestrian Magic a week ago, fighting Equestrian Magic two times nearly side by side is something none of us are prepared for."

"Well you might wanna keep those pendants close by just in case, though," Flash suggested, "ya never know when they might come in handy. Also, speaking of Equestrian Magic, how's Twilight and Timber been?"

"They're still being their dorky selves." Sunset said, "But I wonder how long it will take Twilight to finally realize he's older than her."

"Good god the implications...." Flash groaned facepalming.

But then he snapped out of it quickly.

"Whoa, who's that?!" Flash said.

Sunset then looked and saw someone walking down the hallway she never saw before. The person in question was roughly around the same height as Flash, but a few centimeters taller. He wore a gray hoodie, with its little design on the front being two lightning bolts, one red and one blue, crossing over a white shield, over a white t-shirt. Along with that, he wore black pants, gray converse sneakers, and a gray beanie. His hair was slick and blonde, his beard and mustache combo being the same color, and his eyes were blue-green while his skin was that of a natural blue.

"I've never seen him before, you?" Sunset asked Flash.

"Nnnope," Flash said doing an impression of Big Mac.

"Let's go see who he his," Sunset said motioning for Flash to follow him.

They then approached the man in question who stopped in his tracks as soon as the two came in front of him.

"Can I help you?" He asked.

"Well, we've never seen you around here before, who are you?" Sunset asked.

"I'm Lightning Vanguard." He replied, "I'm here because I transferred here from another school."

"A transfer student eh? Guess that explains why we've never seen you before," Flash said, "I'll take you to Principal Celestia's office so you can get settled in. Sunset, go on and get to class, I'll be joining you later."

With a small nod Sunset left and Flash lead Lightning to Principal Celestia's office.

"Well I'd love to stay and chat, but I've got to get to class before I get another tardy slip. Hope to catch ya later!" Flash said before running off.

And when Flash was out of sight Lightning sighed.

"Looks like that off hand lie was able to fool them." Lightning said to himself, "Former Agent Sweetie Drops should be around here somewhere."

"You rang?"

Lightning the looked to his left to see Sweetie Drops in question.

"Ahh, Sweetie Drops. It's been a long time since you left IES. How are you doing?" Lightning asked.

"I would be better if Equestrian Magic wasn't running rampant around here," Sweetie Drops huffed.

"What did you say?" Lightning asked quickly.

"First off, WHY is an IES agent here?" She asked.

"I was sent to investigate CHS because of footage leaked from the last event of the Friendship Games," He answered.

"You mean people actually recorded that?!" She shouted.

Lightning only nodded.

"I've been sent here to work with you on spying on Sunset Shimmer, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack," Lightning said, "IES has taken an interest in them. They fear if Nostra was to find out about them they would be used for all of Nostra's evil intentions."

"Well how long do you plan on staying here? Because the longer I have to deal with an IES agent breathing down my neck the closer I'll get to losing my sanity," Sweetie Drops said.

"I hope it's not long. I'm just staying until I gather enough data to conclude whether or not they can be used by IES or not-"

"Wait, used by IES?!" Sweetie Drops replied.

"IES wants to know whether or not we can use them to finally take down Nostra. For all of Nostra's talk of not being evil to the public, Nostra has been thumbing its nose at IES for years," Lightning stated before pulling out a badge, "I know you feel the same way. You used to go on missions to stop Nostra all the time. Remember the Four Horsemen? Or the Ark in the Antarctic? Or Decker Cards? Or-"

"OKAY, I GET IT!" Sweetie Drops shouted, "I know. I used to be one of your best agents. But that was a long time ago. Back when I lied about my age and height just to join my mom's business. I thought it would be just fun, until.... you know."

"The original Sweetie Drops was killed by Nostra following your last mission with Decker," Lightning said.

"After that, I took my mother's name for my last few missions and then I just quit because the guilt was too much for me..." Sweetie Drops explained.

"I know it's not easy to forgive yourself for past mistakes, but IES needs you right now. These seven girls could be the key we need to finally stopping Nostra once and for all!" Lightning said handing Sweetie Drops the badge, "And you can help be the catalyst for-"

"Lightning I know your tricks. You're trying to guilt trip me into joining IES again, temporarily, aren't you? Well, guess what? I'm only accepting your offer right now so you can't keep bugging me with your guilt tripping," Sweetie Drops said taking the badge, "But this is only temporary Lightning, TEMPORARY! Afterward, you can tell IES to LEAVE, ME, ALONE!"

"If that is what you wish then so be it," Lightning said, "I'll meet up with you later at the library. I've gotta go in and explain to the principal that I'm a new student so she doesn't suspect anything."

"You so owe me an Interceptor ride after this," Sweetie Drops groaned.
