Chapter 3:The Rebel Meeting

While Frisk was taking a leisurely stroll down the street, she saw a piece of paper land on the ground in front of her. She picked it up, and found this was no ordinary note, it was a letter from the country’s mayor! It said that the mayor wanted the citizens to come see him at Midnight that day.

‘Dear citizens of Britannica,’ She began as she read through the letter.

Although it felt weird how the mayor was encouraging them to stay strong while living in this dark period of time, she saw the last part of the letter:

‘Location and time, you say? See if you can find it here.’

When she saw it, she knew something is special about the letter. But then, she noticed something: the capital letters spelled out 3 words: Midnight, river, and rebels.

‘The mayor is pretty clever…I knew this wasn’t going to be an ordinary meeting. I’ll go and see what he wants from us.’ Frisk said.

So, at midnight, most of the rebels of the country gathered by the river, feeling curious of what they are exactly here for. Then, the mayor came and delivered a speech.

‘Rebels of Britannica,’ he began. ‘Tonight, I have gathered you all here for a reason. You all wish to change your lives for the better, correct? Well, if you’re a true rebel and wish to overthrow Gromiz, I have a plan.’

‘I have received a message from our former emperor, Zebulon. He said that he has a special cure for any disease and is ready to pass on the secret cure. However, only one person is allowed to visit him on Tongwe Island. I need someone to help fetch the cure from him.’ The mayor explained.

Then, he had some words of encouragement to everyone. All the rebels were scared to take on the task, but they were more confident to do so after the mayor’s speech.

‘Thank you all, and let’s make Britannica great again!’ He said proudly. Everyone cheered for the mayor.

Frisk was filled with determination. She knew she was destined to be the chosen one.

‘I’ll do it, Mr. Mayor,’ Frisk said smiling.

‘Ah, so you are confident to take on the task? It’s a long and difficult journey there. Besides, you look pretty young, right?’ The mayor said.

‘I have trained and prepared myself for a very long time, it is time for me to do what I have prepared for my whole life.’ She replied.

The mayor was pleased by Frisk. ‘Well, I hope you’re ready, the fate of the country, the fate of our lives, everything…It’s in your hands, young one.’
