Quest For the Cure
Chapter 5:The Fight To the Island
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe crew on the ship that Frisk boarded were very nice, since they were actually ordered to help her through this journey. Frisk was feeling a little bored during the trip as she thought there isn’t really a real time where she got to use her skills.
One day, while she was strolling around the ship, she heard from some of the crew about Tongwe Island. ‘I heard there is a mythical creature guarding the coasts of the island, we need to look out for it.’ One said. ‘I heard that it is even stronger than the mythical Kraken!’ Another said. Frisk thought, ‘This is my chance to prove how good I am at fighting.’
After a long trip, the island was finally in sight when they looked through the telescope. ‘Island ahoy Frisk!’ The crew said to her excitedly. Frisk was excited. She can finally get the cure from Zebulon! ‘This adventure seems to be pretty easy so far… Is Gromiz really that easy to beat?’ She thought, smiling.
But then, when they were getting close to the island, they heard a piercing scream. Suddenly, one of the sailors were gone. Everyone was shocked; What creature could possibly do that?
And then, the creature emerged from the sea. It was a huge sea snake, bigger than the ship. It had not only one, but nine tails, with 3 different colors. It also had many scales on its body, each with the size of a fist but was thin as a sheet of paper.
Everyone on the ship panicked. While the braver ones wanted to fight the monster, they underestimated its power: The first sailor touched the red tail, it set him on fire. The second touched the green, he collapsed when a strange kind of poison bit him. The third touched the blue tail, and got frozen to death.
Frisk tried to cut off one of its tails, but it immediately grew back into two tails! Suddenly, she saw a brief glow from one of the scales. She was curious to see what happens when she cuts them off, so she cut one of the glowing scales. The monster let out a loud squeal, and some of its tails turned back to normal. The other sailors that were still alive knew just what to do. They tried to distract the thing while Frisk was cutting off the special scales. When she cut off the final scale, the monster grabbed her with its tail and tried threw her on the ground, then wrapped her up tightly to prevent her escaping.
She was terrified; She started to scream for help. All of a sudden, a magic beam shot the sea snake. Frisk looked at the island. It was Emperor Zebulon! He was helping Frisk!
‘Quick! Hit the crystal on its head! Now!’ He yelled. Frisk hit the crystal on the snake’s head as hard as she could, and it was killed and sunk into the ocean. Frisk swam to the island as it was close by and the ship she was on was a wreck.
After briefly drying up her clothes for a bit, Frisk went over to Zebulon. ‘Thank you for saving me, you must be Emperor Zebulon, correct?’
Zebulon laughed. ‘You can just call me Zebulon. Anyway, I expected you would arrive here one day, chosen one.’ He said.
‘Call me Frisk,’ She replied.
‘That’s a great name, Frisk. Now, I think you are here for my secret cure, yes?’ He asked.
‘Well first, I wanted to know how you just shot that…Thing. I don’t really know what that is.’ Frisk said curiously.
‘That is a sea snake, called a Medusa.’ He answered. ‘It has 9 tails, and they have three different abilities. The red one can light people on fire, the blue can freeze people, and the green can poison them. If you tried to cut the tail off, it will grow two tails back. However, when this is done, one of the three special scales on its body will glow, and by cutting them off it will disable one of the abilities. Once all three are cut, a crystal can be seen on its head and by hitting it, it will instantly kill the snake.’ He further explained.
‘Well that explains everything I just saw.’ Frisk said. ‘But what sort of magic did you use to beat that sea snake?’ She asked.
‘That brings me to my cure.’ He said.
‘What is it?’ Frisk asked.
Zebulon pulled out seven bottles, each containing some sort of crystal. There were labels on the bottles: Honesty, Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Loyalty, Magic and Friendship.
‘What do these crystals mean?’ Frisk thought.
