Long ago, Equestria was ruled by two beings, ponies and monsters, there was an era of peace until a great darkness fell and the two species fought each other.
After a long battle the ponies won and their best unicorns locked the monsters in two places the ones that would rather both monsters and ponies to die were sent to tartoros, all the other monsters were sent to the underground.
