Chapter 2: Firey Goat Mom

Previous Chapter

For a moment I thought I was a goner but instead I felt a warm heat and open my eyes the flower was gone and in its place was a nice goat lady who was smiling.

"What a terrible creature torturing such a poor innocent filly, do not be afraid little one, I am Toriel, caretaker of these ruins. I come by here to see if anypony has fallen down, are the first pony to fallen down for a long time, come let me lead you through the Ruins!"

She walk through a door and I regain free movement of my body and followed her , I got a feeling that I can trust her to not kill me like the flower wanted to. I saw a warm glowing object then put my hoof on it. Chara who was still next to me said 'the echo of The Ruins looms above filling you with determination health restored in file saved'

I then followed Toriel to a locked room where she was standing.

"Lett me show you the operation of the ruins" she said and then walked on the 4 buttons and pressed the lever "the ruins are full of puzzles adjust your sight to them!"

After I looked for a while she ran into the next room and I followed behind her into the room. In the was a dummy that I swear I saw it move for just a moment and Toriel blocked the door to the next room.

"Down here monsters may attack you, when this happens you enter a FIGHT, in a fight start up a friendly conversation, practice with this training dummy" Toriel said, Chara was daring me to fight it but instead I just stood there waiting for it to talk or at lesst move to confirm my speculation until it moved away from us.

"Uh...Um....the next room awaits," Toriel said confused then rushed off into the next room.

I followed her into the room that had a sign that I could not make all the letters off of.

"There is a puzzle in the next room, I wonder if you can solve it?" Toriel asked as she rushed off as she seemed to always do, probably her perk or habit. I went to the faded sign and Chara read to me 'Only the brave and foolish ones walk not the center' and I pondered deeply in my thoughts for the meaning of that phrase till I started on my way over to Toriel.

A frog like creature blocked the path and Chara seemed to call it a froggit I complemented it and Chara made a noise of annoyance. Toriel came over and stared down the frog till it left.

I went over to Toriel and she was looking at a room of spikes, I got frightened that she wanted to kill me for a moment until she said," Thus is the puzzle but take my tail," she said I listened and she led me through the maze of spikes until we reached the end and she said," Puzzles seem a little to dangerous currently!"

She then trotted off to the next room where I followed her. I knowticed that it was a long hallway with one out of place pillar.

"For this task I need you to reach the end of this hall on your own, please forgive me for this," and then trotted if to be behind the pillar, I rolled my eyes at the obvious hiding place, but followed her instructions and trotted to the end of the room where Toriel got out of her hiding spot to reassure me,"It's okay my filly, I never left you, I was behind this pillar the whole time," like I never noticed," There was a reason for this, to test your independence, I will be gone on earns for a little while and I don't want to leave you here alone, so here take a HOOF-PHONE, call me if you need anything!"

After she finished she trotted off into the next room while I waited for a while until I got bored and called her.

"Hey Mom, I am bored," I said, she seemed pretty motherly so it fits, she responded with," Huh, you called me mother, well if it is fine with you, you can call me whatever you like!" That gave me a idea, I flirted with her, "...Oh I could just boop your nose right now, you can find someone better than old me," I flirted again, "...you really mean it,......you are an interesting filly!"

I decided to stop and defy what she said and went out of the room and played in the leaves when a warm glow was felt near me, Chara said," Playfully trotting through the leaves fills you with DETERMINATION, file saved!"
