The Asylum: Reopening

Every pony has their story, every building a history. The Asylum of Equestria was no different. It had been formed in the very early days of Equestria’s existence, originally harboring a couple hundred ponies whom society deemed as insane. Their cases usually ranged from eating meat to resurrecting the dead, and everything that could fit in between.
When the princesses came into power, the asylum was shut down. At that time, it harbored ponies in the ten-thousands. Those ponies were never released from their cells and were forced to rot in the crumbling institution.
Centuries had passed before the asylum was reopened and cleaned. Little is known about the conditions of the institution itself. Anypony who may have been alive during the time of it being originally open had long since been dead. All that is known of the place was that it is indeed eerie, and is more than likely haunted. And yet, the princesses had the guts to reopen the place, unknowing of the horrors that lay within its depths…
