Chapter 3
Previous ChapterNext ChapterDillan woke up, and saw Chara sitting in a chair watching him creepily. “What the hell!?” Dillan said falling off the bed.
“Greetings.” Chara said calmly.
“Why were you watching me sleep?” Dillan asked.
“Because I do not, and I needed something to do.” Chara said simply. “You talk in your sleep.”
“What did I say?” Dillan asked blushing from embarrassment.
“It sounded like you were having a wet dream.” Chara said. “It was… amusing.”
“I...Um…” Dillan blushed. “It wasn't exactly a wet dream….”
“Memory?” Chara asked, snickering a tiny bit.
“What did I say exactly?” Dillan asked looking down.
“I got here when it was less words more noises.” Chara said.
“Oh…” Dillan said becoming depressed. “It was that dream again.”
“What’s wrong?” Chara asked.
“It's… nothing.” Dillan lied getting dressed.
“Are you sure?” Chara asked, teleporting next to him. “I can see your SOUL… it is hurting.”
“It was a memory of my old girlfriend, she had cheated on me right after I took her virginity, she said she didn't want me to find out so
she let me fuck her first…” Dillan said tearing up.
The top half of Chara's face was briefly shadowed, them seeming to… glitch in place for a couple seconds, before they calmed. “I am sorry for you… she obviously didn’t deserve you.” Chara said.
Dillan chuckled bitterly. “She was my first, there's something wrong with me, I know it.” He gritted his teeth trying not to cry. “She said I was bigger and better than the other guy, but she said… that he was….” He started crying.
“He was what?” Chara asked, rubbing his back as comfortingly as they could.
“H...He was… more intense, more rough and stronger.” He said sobbing. “She said I wouldn't have been able to protect her… and I had been training to do that so it hit harder when she said that.”
“Did she ever see you train?” Chara asked.
“Yes, she watched me and even then she said I was: worthless, weak, pathetic, that I couldn't protect anyone…” Dillan said.
“Really now? What did your training consist of?” Chara asked, trying to find some way to put his doubts to rest.
“Push ups, back flips, squats, and that was all on my own, what she watched was me doing my karate tournament, I lost in the first round do to an injury.” Dillan said depressed.
“Then she had no idea what you could do, so do not worry, when we sparred yesterday I could tell you were plenty strong.” Chara said.
Dillan sighed and smiled softly. “Thanks.” He said getting up, and going to the door. “You're really strong too, I have to admit I wasn't expecting it from someone so cute.” He said leaving.
Chara paused, flustered for a second, a surprise on their face. “W-what?” They asked to themselves, before shaking their head, getting their normal look on their face and deciding to ignore it for now.
“You coming?” Dillan asked.
“Yes.” Chara said simply, teleporting next to him.
“i wonder if they have bacon and sausage.” Dillan said seeming a lot better.
“Considering ponies are herbivores, I highly doubt it, but you never know.” Chara said as the two of them walked through the crystal castle.
“Fair enough, I guess we can just have eggs.” Dillan shrugged.
“I do not know if I need to eat anymore, this will be… interesting.” Chara said.
“So what emotions do you still feel?” Dillan asked curiously.
“I feel… strange shadows of all the normal feelings, I still have a SOUL, after all… just not much left of one, unlike, say, a FLOWEY, who would have none at all.” Chara said, tilting their head.
“I suppose so, do you have any idea how to restore your SOUL?” Dillan asked.
]
“Maybe if seven others would… lend me theirs for a while, I could use that GOD like power to restore my own.” Chara mused, before shrugging. “That is simply a guess, however, and I do not know if it would work.”
“Well it would be nice to get to know the real you, if you're this cute now I can't imagine what you must have been like before.” Dillan said calmly.
Chara expected the flirt this time, and was not caught off guard. “You do not even know my biological gender, and are flirting on me?” Chara asked, tilting their head.
“I'm actually bi, so the gender thing doesn't effect me, and no I was just being nice.” Dillan shrugged.
“Alright.” Chara said with a shrug.
“Would you have minded if I was flirting with you? I mean after what happened with my ex I'm not ready to date again, but if I was someone as cute and awesome as you is my type.” Dillan smiled.
“I do not care.” Chara said, shrugging.
“Sure you don't.” Dillan smirked as they got into the throne room.
“Hello.” Twilight said.
“Hi.” Spike greeted. Chara waved, not bothering to speak..
“What's for breakfast?” Dillan asked.
“Bacon and gems for spike and dafidil sandwiches for us.” Twilight said as Dillan ate some bacon. “DILLAN!?”
“What?” Dillan asked.
“You just ate bacon! Bacon is meat!” Twilight yelled.
“Humans are omnivores.” Chara called out helpfully.
“O-oh.” Twilight said.
“Thank you.” Dillan whispered to Chara.[
“You are welcome.” Chara said, nibbling on some bacon.
“I wonder what gems taste like.” Dillan said picking one up.
“Um you'd break your teeth if you are one.” Twilight said.
Spike walked in and Dillan got a scan for the Omnitrix from him and transformed into a dragon.
Chara simply grabbed one, crunching into it.
“H-how?” Twilight asked looking at Chara.
“DETERMINATION.” Chara said, opening their mouth to show that their teeth were glowing red as they chewed on the gem.
“That's awesome.” Dillan said chewing on a gem.
Chara simply smirked, swallowing the gem and blinking in surprise for a second, before shrugging it off and smirking.
“What's with the surprised look?” Dillan asked transforming back.
“The gem seems to have given me a… boost in my DETERMINATION, I did not expect it to…” Chara said, trailing off, before shrugging.
“Oh.” Dillan said.
“So, what is on the agenda today?” Chara asked.
Dillan was about to shrug before a letter popped out of spike's mouth. “The princess wants Dillan and Chara to come to canterlot so she can announce to everypony that they mean no harm.” Spike said.
“That I suppose.” Dillan said to Chara.
“This will be… interesting.” Chara said.
“Yeah.” Dillan said as he left the table. Chara teleported next to him, skipping a little as they slipped their knife into their sleeve.
“Why are you skipping?” Dillan asked.
“To seem innocent and not a threat.” Chara replied simply, giving a childish smile.
“That's seriously adorable.” Dillan chuckled.
“Then it’s working.” Chara said, making the pink that was already on their cheeks naturally go into a more adorable shade.
“Ok then.” Dillan said grabbing his wallet and some pictures from the nightstand in his room.
“Let’s go then, shall we?” Chara said, skipping towards the train station.
“Alright.” Dillan said walking with them. “Also, are you biologically a boy or a girl?”
“You’ll have to find out.” Chara said teasingly, smirking and skipping ahead.
“Is that a challenge?” Dillan asked smirking.
They simply shot a smirk back, before putting the childish look on their face and vanishing as they teleported to the train station.
Dillan got to the train station and smirked at them. “Really? How are we supposed to get tickets?”
“I was gonna hide in the back.” They said, smiling innocently.
“Sounds good to me I guess, and how am I supposed to find out your gender?” He asked grinning.
“That’s for you to figure out.” Chara said with a careless shrug, looking around before bolting into the caboose car to hide, Dillan following them.
“Well I can only think of two ways.” Dillan said.
“If both of them are dirty, I’m slapping you.” Chara said, seeing a crate and jumping in it.
Dillan hid behind the crate they were in and stood more around it. “Well they are, I can't think of any other way other than asking but I already did that.” He said.
“Then think of another way.” Chara whispered. “Now shut up, before we’re caught.”
Dillan thought long and hard as the train moved. “Why didn't you just teleport us to canterlot?” Dillan whispered.
“I do not want to corrupt you and turn you into a glitch.” Chara said simply as the train neared its destination.
“So you care about me? Isn't that sweet.” Dillan smiled as the train stopped.
“It is not a fun existence.” Chara said, hopping out of the crate. “Let’s go.”
“Alright.” Dillan said getting up and going out the train car with them. Chara resumed their childish act as the two of them went out, humming to themself.
“Your really cute when you do that.” Dillan chuckled.
“Then I am pulling the act off.” Chara said simply.
“Why do you need an act?” Dillan asked ignoring the looks all the ponies were giving them.
“To look innocent and make the ponies underestimate me and you by proxy.” Chara said.
“Oh ok.” Dillan said as they got to the castle.
“Ah hello Chara, hello...Dillan.” Celestia said fluttering her eyelashes at Dillans name, making him uncomfortable.
Chara tilted their head, narrowing their eyes a little, but decided to not do anything just yet.
“H-how celestia.” Dillan said uncomfortably.
“Follow me please.” Celestia smiled leading them to the balcony.
“Okay.” Chara said, skipping between Celestia and Dillan.
“So Dillan, how have you liked equestria?” Celestia asked smiling seductively at him.
“I...Uh…” Dillan said looking away.
“It’s a beautiful day outside.” Chara seemingly randomly commented.
“Yes very beautiful.” Dillan nodded, making celestia blush thinking he was complimenting her.
“Why thank you.” Celestia smiled Making Dillan shudder.
“So, what exactly will be going on here, Celestia?” Chara asked.
“Oh I'm going to explain to my subjects that you two aren't dangerous, and I'm also going to announce Dillan and yourself as ambassadors from another world.” Celestia smiled looking at Dillan again. “And something else if Dillan is up for it.”
“Maybe you should ask Dillan what this thing is now instead of during a public event?” Chara suggested, stopping.
“I suppose that is correct, Dillan as one of the ambassadors of another planet… would you court me?” Celestia asked blushing.
“I...I…” Dillan said surprised. “I-im not sure that's a good idea.”
“Oh please, it would make all of us happy, we would be happy together and my subjects could look forward to a prince of equestria later.” Celestia said persistently.
“I….i….” Dillan said. Chara at their eye level could see Dillans hand shaking and fear in his eyes.
“Dillan is currently getting over something.” Chara said, giving Celestia a look. “It would not be wise to get in a relationship at this time.”
“Oh but please?” Celestia persisted more.
“I can't!” Dillan said leaving in a hurry.
“Wait!” Celestia called but got stopped by Chara.
“He said he cannot.” Chara said coldly, the upper half of their face shadowed. “It would be most… unwise to persist more.”
“B-but…” Celestia said about to follow Dillan. Chara vanished in a burst of pure speed, putting their knife to Celestias neck, their hand around her horn.
“I said it would be… unwise.” They growled, more threateningly, previously brown eyes flashing a demonic red.
“A-alright.” Celestia said leaving in a puff of smoke and magic. Chara took a deep breath, calming, before hiding their knife and returning their eyes to normal, teleporting to Dillans side.
“I-i can't.” Dillan kept repeating with his hands over his head.
“Calm down, Dillan.” Chara said, walking over and rubbing his back as comfortingly as they could. “I… persuaded Celestia to not attempt to court you at this time.”
Dillan stopped repeating the craze but still had his head covered as the other ponies got there.
“What happened y'all?” Applejack asked.
“Celestia got… pushy on a subject that is… sensitive to Dillan.” Chara said.
“What do you mean?” Fluttershy asked.
“I-its personal.” Dillan muttered standing up, shakily.
“Do not get… pushy.” Chara warned.
“But we wanna help him be all smiley wiley again not sadly wady.” Pinkie pie bounced hugging Dillan’s leg.
“N-not now pinkie.” Dillan muttered.
“I ask you kindly to give Dillan some space.” Chara said.
“But…” pinkie said.
“Twilight can you teleport me back to the castle please?” Dillan asked.
“A-alright.” Twilight said about to teleport him away.
“I'll throw you a cheer up already party when we get back.” Pinkie said sounding insensitive.
“I advise against that.” Chara said, eyes getting a red sheen. “It is not the best thing for him at this time.”
“I appreciate it though Pinkie.” Dillan said, as twilight teleported him away a single tear fell to the ground.
“Since Dillan is no longer here, I will stay, if only for the announcement.” Chara said, eyes going back to normal.
“Alright.” Twilight said as they went back to the balcony.
“My subjects, I'm sure you noticed the two beings that were walking through town.” Celestia said on the balcony. “They are Dillan, and Chara, they are ambassadors from another world. They mean you no harm.” Celestia said letting Chara walk up to the balcony. “This is Chara, but where is Dillan?” Celestia asked looking behind Chara to the entrance.
“Dillan is back in Ponyville, mentally recovering.” Chara said neutrally.
“Oh…” Celestia said sadly. “This is Chara, it appears Dillan left for some unknown reason.” Celestia said not wanting her subjects to know the truth.
“Greetings.” Chara said, giving a adorable childish smile.
“It's truly a shame Dillan couldn't make it, he made quite the impression when we first met, and now that he isn't here is something I cannot fathom.” Celestia lied again.
“Oh well.” Chara said, shrugging.
“Is there anything going on between you and this Dillan?” A new pony asked Celestia.
“Well I did ask him to court me but nothing is guaranteed yet.” Celestia giggled.
“Dillan is not ready for a relationship at this time.” Chara said, somehow managing to keep the childish tone through their anger.
“Oh you're just saying that, with how he acted when we first met I bet it won't be long until he's begging me to mate with him.” Celestia giggled.
“Stop.” Chara said simply, giving Celestia a red eyed look.
“Why should I?” Celestia giggled like a filly. “He's quite cute if I must say.”
“Well, because friend.” Chara said, walking over and putting an arm around Celestia's neck, concealing the backwards held knife to her throat. “He is not interested at this point in time, so please, do not attempt anymore until he says that he is ready.”
“I… I understand.” Celestia said scared.
“Good.” Chara said cheerfully, hiding the knife again and releasing Celestia. “Now, if you excuse me, I must comfort my friend.” Chara added, teleporting away.
Dillan was laying in bed thinking about everything, his head was covered as he silently cried as Chara teleports back in.
“Dillan, are you alright?” Chara asked as gently as they could… which was not very, walking over and sitting next to him on the bed.
“I'll be fine.” Dillan sighed laying on his back and uncovered his head. “What was up with celestia? Does she need to be rutted that badly?” Dillan chuckled.
“I think she needs to go tell someone to lay her if she’s that needy.” Chara said.
“Yeah.” Dillan said looking at a wall. “She probably just wants me as a trophy of some kind, and then she'd just turn around and fuck a stallion.” He said sadly.
“Simply do not let her fool you, wait for someone with genuine feelings.” Chara suggested.
“I understand that, but all of my past relationships have ended the same way. I'm not sure if…” Dillan said trailing off.
“Dillan.” Chara said seriously. “The multiverse is a big place, there’s someone out there for you.”
Dillan hugged Chara. “Thank you.” Chara froze at the hug, looking a little uncomfortable, patting Dillans back awkwardly. “Sorry.” Dillan said noticing their uncomfortableness, letting go.
“I am not… a physical contact person.” Chara said. “It is fine.”
“It's been hard today, last night wasn't all that better either.” Dillan said laying down. “You can lay down if you want, I don't mind.”
“Thank you.” Chara said, doing so.
“Your welcome, it's nice to have a friend I can talk to.” Dillan said.
“It is.” Chara agreed.
“So how did you end up like this?” Dillan asked. “Like all glitchy and stuff.”
“It is simply a part of my displacement.” Chara said with a shrug.
“Why did you choose this, as a costume...Right?” Dillan asked.
“Actually… I did not quite get that luxary, while alive.” Chara said, looking off to the side.
“Did… did you die and then get displaced?” Dillan asked sadly.
“Yes.” Chara said, nodding.
“Oh.. I didn't get to choose either, well I did and didn't. I had a dream and in the dream I had this.” He said holding up the Omnitrix. “And the next day I went to a conversation and a man more or less made me buy it.” He said glancing at them. “How did it happen, if I can ask.”
“I was betrayed by my best friend.” Chara said bitterly, scowling. “If I could, I’d cut the little twerp into pieces and explode his remains.”
“Hey.” Dillan said putting a hand on their shoulder. “I know it was painful, and I know you want revenge, but if you actually did that then you'd be just as bad as them.”
“I know.” Chara said. “I simply don’t care, we had been friends since we were children…” Chara trailed off.
“You loved them didn't you?” Dillan asked.
“I did.” Chara said, nodding sadly. “I simply did not say anything, to preserve our friendship.”
“I'm so sorry.” Dillan said sadly. “My first girlfriend was my best friend as well, and you know how that turned out.”
“At least yours attempted to be kind.” Chara said bitterly. “I did not see the signs of mines betrayel until it was too late.”
“How did it happen?” Dillan asked looking at them. “If you wanna tell me.”
“I will be vague.” Chara said. “Torture.”
“They didn't.” Dillan said.
“They did.” Chara said. “Every kind, slowly, painfully, until I was barely alive, and then they snapped my neck.”
“Hey.” Dillan said looking at them. “They're not here now and you can trust me, I wouldn't do anything like that to you.” He smiled a sincere smile. “And if anyone tried I'd kill them.” He said as his SOUL of INTEGRITY pulsed a little.
“Thank you.” Chara said, calming a little, before getting up. “Now, if you excuse me, I need to clean myself of the memories.” Chara stated, putting their knife on a dresser and walking into the bathroom.
Dillan smiled softly and sat up, and stretched a little getting up and going into the kitchen getting some food. He ate for a bit, before going to the bathroom, forgetting Chara was in there for a second he opened the door and saw them wet and naked.
Chara let out a shrill sounding noise, covering themself with the towel next to them.
“S-sorry I forgot for a second.” Dillan said noticing they had a vagina and dick, getting a noticeable boner before he closed the door. “Sorry!!”
“Knock when a bathroom door is closed!” Chara shouted from the other side of the door, sounding very embarrassed.
“I'm sorry!” Dillan yelled. “You...Looked nice though.”
“NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR THAT, PERVERT!” Chara exclaimed.
“I'm not a pervert! I was trying to be nice!!!” Dillan yelled jumping on the bed on his stomach.
“Says the one walking into the bathroom without knocking!” Chara yelled back.
“I forgot, it was an accident I'm sorry!” Dillan yelled covering his face with his hands. “Why am I such a screw up!!!” He yelled in his head.
“It’s alright.” A more calm sounding Chara said minutes later, walking out fully clothed, hair still slightly wet. “Just remember to knock next time.”
Dillan looked at them blushing. “Y-you do have a nice body though.”
“I really don’t, I have no curves and am just normal in every sense of the word, appearance wise.” Chara said, not like they were upset about how they looked, but simply stating a fact.
“And… that's what I like…” Dillan said. “Nothing too curvy, nothing too flashy or anything…” He said blushing.
Chara was caught off guard at how genuine he sounded, and their pink cheeks went a couple shades darker.
Dillan glanced at them. “I'm really sorry, I'm no good at this stuff…” He said patting the bed next to him blushing still. Chara said nothing, simply taking the offer, sitting down. “I… I really like you, you've listed to me when I needed help, you stood up for me when celestia and the others were all crazy, I feel safe around you. I know it doesn't make sense, and I know we just met and everything but your really cool. I'm honestly not ready to date again, and I'm sure you're skeptical, but…” he said blushing deeper.
“Stop.” Chara said simply, holding up a hand. “A lot has happened, to both of us, very recently, we should wait until we have had time to… cope.”
“I...i… know that.” Dillan said looking down. “I was going to ask if you'd be interested in a date once we're both ready to….”
“Sure.” Chara said, giving a small, genuine smile.
Dillan smiled back and booped their nose before chuckling. “Did you notice we have an audience now?” Dillan asked.
“What?” Chara asked.
Dillan pointed to the door, a slight crack was seen as the ponies scrambled. “I wonder when They got back.”
“Nosy little…” Chara growled, grabbing their knife and going to the door. The knife glowed green as they slashed multiple times, making a thick green barrier appear, trapping the door in place.
“Um…” Dillan chuckled nervously. “What was that for? You could have just closed and locked the door.”
“Magic, could unlock it, now I’ll feel when they try to blast it if they’re that noisy.” Chara said, putting their knife back down and laying in the bed.
“Um...What are you doing? I thought you didn't have to sleep?” Dillan asked laying down as well.
“I said I do not have to, not that I cannot.” Chara said simply, pulling the covers over their form in frustration.
“Hey.” Dillan said, uncovering them. “Forget about the ponies, it doesn't matter what they saw or think, to me tonight has been fun, and I hope it was the same for you.” Dillan smiled getting under the covers as well, looking at them. “Your a really cool person and I'm glad I met you.”
“...you to.” They mumbled, smiling a tiny bit again.
“Your friend is an idiot for what they did, if I was them I would have rather died then let it happen to you.” Dillan said falling asleep. Chara simply smiled, all redness leaving their eyes, soft brown replacing them as they gave a genuine smile, before going to sleep as well.
