Hearth's Warming Eve, 5 Years Ago

"The last sock!" Minty shouted excitedly. After accidentally breaking the "Here Comes Hearth's Warming Candy Cane," Minty knew she had to do something. Which is why she was now bringing socks to everypony in Ponyville. However, she was starting to doubt her plan. Now that the last sock was hung, however... she could finally go home. At least that was what she thought.

She looked behind her. Everypony was fast asleep, although there was a slight shimmer by the fireplace where she had hung the sock. She shrugged and started home, but completely freaked out when she heard a voice call her name.

"MINTY!" called the voice. Minty looked down and saw a blue unicorn pony with grayish-white hair staring at her. She had a moon with a wand in it as her cutie mark. Minty didn't know her, how could she know Minty? Then again, everypony probably knew her as the pony who ruined Hearth's Warming. She started to cry.

"There, there," the strange Unicorn said to her. "I know a place where nopony knows you, at least not yet!"

"Really?" Minty couldn't believe it.

"Do you want to come? I could bring you with me. I have a friend who is from here, and she might want to see you."

"Who? Wysteria? Pinkie Pie? Star Catcher? RAINBOW DASH?" The suspense was getting to Minty. Then she remembered.

"I can't. I have to go to the North Pole to help Santa Claus find Ponyville! After I broke the Here Comes Hearth's Warming Candy Cane..." The memory was too much. She looked at the strange Unicorn.

"I'll go."

"Great!" the Unicorn said. "By the way, I'm Trixie. Thanks for riding the Portal Express To The Future."

"Wait. WHAT?!" Minty screamed. Seeing Pinkie Pie at the top of the steps, she held out her hoof, screaming for Pinkie to help, but by then, nopony could help.

Pinkie Pie woke up. She could've sworn she heard Minty, but what was Minty doing in her house this late at night? She snuck downstairs, stopping when she heard another pony talking, aka NOT MINTY. She rushed upstairs, grabbed her phone, and was about to call the authorities when the other pony said something interesting.

"I know a place where nopony knows you, at least not yet!" Pinkie stuck her hoof over her mouth to keep from gasping, but she couldn't believe that Minty actually was going to go to the North Pole to find Santa Claus. Everypony knew Minty couldn't fly a balloon! That's when Pinkie screamed inside her head.

"I'll go."

"Great!" said the strange pony. "By the way, I'm Trixie. Thanks for riding the Portal Express To The Future."

"Wait. WHAT?!" Minty screamed. Pinkie gasped. That's when Minty saw her. "Pinkie! HELP!" she yelled. Then Trixie pulled Minty through the portal, accidentally leaving it open for a small pink Earth Pony to go through. So she did.
