Mere Mortals

The Immortal Letter

A simple question is what I ask you.

The answer of which will on your opinion on reality after reading this.

The average pony can live to the age of eighty years old and throughout that time we grow and seek out an enjoyable life as well ensuring that generations of ponies under us can still continue on.

So what would you do if I told you that you are merely a pawn of the immortals?

What would you do if you you found out that everything you did was orchestrated by gods on their playing  field?

You may go into shock or you may go into denial if I ever told you these thing but the uncertainty would still be there.

Have you ever taken a step back and looked at the way that our world worked?

The celestial objects, which revolve around our earth and ensure our survival, are governed by the two alicorn sisters themselves.

Reality, as we know it, can be twisted by a chimera to the stage that even we couldn’t tell which way is up or down.

The main force which governs ponies is a tree sitting in the middle of a forest which is considered to be the most malicious of the forest spreading across Equestria.

These forces have governed over us mortals for millennia no matter if it be mind breaking chaos or rule enforcing order and what have we said about it?

Nothing, we have merely stood and said nothing.

We are instruments for these gods for ensuring that their way of thinking is enforced throughout the lands.

We have been reduced to mere mortals, whom these gods couldn’t flap their wings about.

So why do we accept this as if it was second nature?

Why do we not rise against these gods and attempt to secure ourselves a better future?

I know why and I can tell you.

We are no longer the proud ponies that we used to be, with three tribes of immense strength, but we have become herds of sheep.

We have become content with grazing our grass and waiting for our masters to come and  protect us.

We will willingly sacrifice everything we have to allow our masters to prosper as long as we have our hay to eat and our protection.

Can we be blamed for this? For the stagnation that we have managed to force ourselves into.

No we cannot, because these immortals rule over us and ensure that we are taught to not rebel against their will.

No we cannot, because the iron hoof which has been slammed down on our nation is held with the power to crush us to oblivion.

No we cannot, because we have become sheep to our masters.

This letter will be met with disdain in the future and I shall be deemed a heathen for writing against our gods but why should I expect anything else from those who are not able to perceive the faults in our immortal gods.

We bow down to a princess whom was merely as jealous as a child whom had had a toy taken away from it and because she could she nearly doomed all of  the planet as our crops withered and we froze to death from a lack of heat source.

We allow a creature which has forced Equestria to almost lose its sanity though chaos more than once as well as showing us its traitorous nature with the magic thief.

Need I list anymore examples?

These are gods and should go and deal with matters which concern gods whereas the mortals should be trusted to deal with our own matters.

There are nations on this planets which do not rely on rulers with near omnipotent strength  and these still survive on a day to day basis, in fact most nations on this planet rely on their mortals to rule.

So why do we rely on these masters? Are we, as a race, to incompetent to able able to manage ourselves? Other races, which we have proven we have stood over, seem to be capable of doing it.

You know, in your hearts, the real reason behind this.

Princess Celestia is an intelligent mare and one with power equal to god but her real gift is her intelligence.

She will actively remain out of battles while sending her little ponies to do her bidding and will continually visit the small towns around Equestria to ensure that the image being painted about her was one which was pleasant.

Do you feel the puppet strings or is the puppet unable to perceive them? We are but toys to these god and only one of them has bothered to ensure that their toys can't get damaged.

This letter is being read by all those I could manage to get it to and I do not expect for the ponies of Equestria to jump up in arms against these gods  but I hope that this has effected ponies enough to attempt to perceive the imitation of life we are continuously forced to play out by these gods until the end of days. If I could convince even one pony that there are alternatives to this dictatorship we have slaved under for millennia then this letter has done its job to the extent that I would want.

Anarchism is a type of rule which everypony looks down with disdain because they perceive an all round destructive nature for it but they are mistaken, Anarchism means without Rulers but not without rules and would allow the ponies to be finally free from the rulers that we have been forced to endure and satisfy.

Ponies would be able to make their own decisions with their lives and  because the is no power struggle everybody is considered equal, which will get rid of the prejudice of the old ways as well.

I have one more simple question for you.

Are you a pony or a sheep?

Signed by a Mere Mortal.
