The Mystery of Equestria.

Rains pupils went small as she heard the news, her body going partially limp as well. "W-what...P-princess Luna is... d-dead?" Rain asked, her voice somber, and her face looking heartbroken.

*Sadly...Yes, Rain...* Celestia said, staring down, her long and flowing mane going down a bit, a tear slowly falling from her face as she sighed, her bright and protective personality not evident at the moment. *Rain, I'm quite angry if you have not noticed, so forgive me if I say anything impolite...But, anyways, Rain, I need you to start on a new case for me, I want you to solve the case of my sister's murder...Alone. Would you please do that for me?* Rain looked up at Celestia. Taking what she just said into consideration.

"B-but princess...You do understand... that this is a very big case and to do it also-" Rain tried to speak but was rudely cut off by Celestia.

*It's not a question anymore... Do it. I want an answer to this mess.* Princess Celestia commanded *Luna's body is underneath the castle, her body is being examined. Now go. Have a good day Rain.* Rain stepped back, being yanked back and being grabbed by the two guards again.

We will take you down to where Princess Luna's body is,One of the guards said. Rain frowned and she yanked away from them and she stood her ground, standing tall. She growled, putting her levitation on her revolver to scare them.

"I can walk myself, thank you very much," Rain said, trotting past them. Making her way around the castle, it seemed she was going around in circles until she reached a staircase labeled -Basement. Authorized Personnel only.- Rain shrugged and walked down the stairs and she eventually reached a large metal door, and she knocked on the door hard, and she immediately regretted it as the metal hurt her hoof and she yelped, realizing her own stupidity "Ouch... that hurt.." Rain said with a sigh.

**Whos there?** A voice erupted from behind the door, sounding commanding and serious.

"R-Rain Valentine. Here in the case of Princess Luna's murder..." Rain said, slightly backing up from the door, she heard a few latches unlock and the gigantic metal door slowly opened, with a loud audible creak. Princess Cadence was standing there, her mane all messed up and bags under her eyes, but she was still smiling.

*P-please...come inside Rain... W-we've been awaiting your arrival,*` Cadence said. Her voice sounded like concrete...no emotion. And Rain looked around, and she slowly walked forward, looking around and there was a bright white light coming from around a corner that was all the way down the hall, old prison cages pushed up against the walls. Most of the metal on them were terribly rusted and broken. And skulls and multiple other pony bones lay inside some of the cages, and Rain looked away in disgust, staring down at the floor.

Rain and Princess Cadence continued walking down the protracted corridor. They finally reached the turn and Rain saw two metal doors with multiple locks and hinges. And Princess Cadence walked up to the door, and she knocked on the door with a rhythm and they automatically opened. Rain saw multiple doctors all wearing face masks and white coats and Princess Cadence motioned for Rain to come in with a forehoof.

Rain slowly entered the room, looking around there she saw it. Princess Luna's body lay on a large surgical table in the middle. The doctors made way for Rain as she walked up to the side of the table. Rain levitated a little machine out of a pocket on her trench coat and she levitated it up to Luna's mouth. Rain put the thing in Luna's mouth and then closed her mouth, turning on the machine. Beep. Beep. Beep.

A little number appeared on the machine in red text. 79.99304. Rain frowned and sighed, turning her head to look over at Princess cadence. "Well... It seems that Princess Luna has been poisoned with a multitude of poisons," Rain said, slowly levitating the machine out of her mouth.

*Oh dear...* Princess Cadence said with a grimace, slowly walking over to princess Luna's side. She lifted up a hoof, laying it on Luna's chest. A single tear fell down her face and she wiped it away with her magic. *Rain. You can find who did this, r-right?* Cadence said, despair in her face and on her face.

"I-I... Yes....I can find who did this. I'm sure of it Princess cadence." Rain said, smiling as she walked over to cadence and Cadence smiled back, her smile warm and tender. Cadence took her forehoof off Luna. And she outstretched her forelegs and Rain gladly accepted her hug, and she quickly backed away after a moment or two.

*Who ever did this.... they will regret it. I tell you that.* Princess Cadence said with a grim smile. Rain slightly tilted her head and slowly nodded.

"Princess. I need you to get this body to my examination department in Manehattan." Cadence nodded. Then all of a sudden a huge explosion was heard at the end of the hallway. "What in tarnation?!" Rain quickly levitated her gun out of its holster, quickly opening one of the metal doors, peeking around the corner. Rain saw around 30 Ponies and one stood in front.

This ponies name was Napalm, he stood tall and levitated his large slug shot-shotgun beside him. He lifted up his right foreleg and spoke out aloud -Go ahead and slaughter every last one of them. Leave no pony alive. And make sure that filthy detective gets the worst of it,- he snickered and turned around, his soldiers moving out the way as he walked away.

"Oh no..." Rain said.
