A Lightning Storm

Mirage:

Crimson blood pooled on the ground below me, My blood, a burning sensation in my neck and the world spinning around me. Eyes drooping, this was it, this was the end of my story, I lay there imagining a chapter of a book  written first in ink, then transition into blood, I felt cold, like I was in a refrigerator, a locked refrigerator. I could see Vinyl in the distance, running towards me, her glasses still on, I couldn't leave her... not like this

The world seemed to go dark then light back up, every time the lights would come on my vision would get blurrier.

"Mirage!" Vinyl said, I could barely hear her

"I'm gone now Vinyl" I thought as I saw her beautiful face, this may be the last time to see it.

"Goodbye Vinyl" This wasn't me thinking anymore, it was my father, and... something else, somepony else

"Stop It" I argued with them through my thoughts

"It's only a matter of time Mirage" My father thought,

"You are infected, and almost dead" The other thought,

"I'll be fine... I cant leave Vinyl" I thought,

"Why so she leaves you later?" My father thought,

"She will only cause you more pain" The other thought,

"This is the easy way out Mirage" My father thought,

"Fuck the easy way out Dad!" I screamed at him In thought,

"Your choice Mirage, You live and get hurt worse or You come with us... and wait for your daughter" My father thought, he was the only on replying now,

"My... My what?" I thought,

"Your daughter, Vinyl is pregnant... I can smell it" he thought, "You know you cant handle those kinds of responsibilities... Your the same as me"

"I am NOTHING like you!" I thought, "Bring me back now!"

"We Warned You" they said in unison

3 Hours Earlier...

We were playing in the club tonight, making beats for a rapper that had come here on his tour, being the only nightclub in Ponyville we got him to play here, me and Vinyl were on the turntables moving dials and spinning records while he rhymed, we had gotten to know him pretty well before the show, learning all about his tour and why he rapped the way he did.

"So Blackblood... what got you into music?" Vinyl asked the unicorn, he was a lot younger than us but was probably better than me and Vinyl combined on the mic

"Actually, as cheesy as it may sound I watched you two preform on Nightmare Night in Canterlot" He said, blushing

Me and Vinyls Jaws dropped, "You were there?" I asked,

"Yup" he said, smiling

"That's crazy!" Vinyl said, "So we like, inspired you?"

"Well... yeah" he said, looking unsure,

"Good for you kid!" Vinyl said, patting him on the back

"Now about you two..." He started "Are you like, brother and sister or something?"

"What?" we said together

"Well, you do having matching manes" he said,

"No, no, no" we said together again,

we looked at each other and she gestured for me to talk,

"She's my Marefriend" I said,

"Oh!" he said, looking surprised, "Um, so I guess you would mind if I..." he trailed off,

"If you what?" I said, expecting nothing

But he leaned in and kissed Vinyl on the lips then ran out onto stage, the crowd cheering as he did,

"What the hay was that?!" I yelled, steaming

"Oh?" she said, "Is somepony jealous?" she asked grinning at me,

her eyes just completely shut off my anger, "No because that pony cant do this whenever he wants"

"Wha?-" she said before getting cut off by my lips, she went all in for the kiss using her tongue and all, before I pulled her away,

"Let's get out there" I said, patting her flank

"Aight" she said, sliding her glasses on

When we walked out the cloud roared, me now becoming part of her main act, we walked up to the turntables and started.

after the concert me and Vinyl escaped from the crowd and went outside to get home,

"I'm gonna talk to Blackblood for a minute" I said, "You head home"

"Cool" she said, nuzzling me, "See ya there"

She trotted off and I turned back to the club, seeing Blackblood in front of the door, Staring

"Woah!" I shrieked, startled

"What do you need to talk to me about?" he said, In an annoyed tone

"Vinyl" I said, frowning

"What about her?" He asked, grinning

"This isn't a game Blackblood" I said, "You cant just go around kissing someponys Marefriend... That's not right"

"It sure did feel right" he said walking towards me with an aggressive look in his eyes

I stood my ground, watching the young Stallions Dark blue mane become darker, along with his Dark blue body

"What are you doing?" I asked,

"Taking out the trash..." He said,

I started to walk towards him, meeting him face to face

His eyes turned red and a smile grew on his face revealing two razor sharp fangs dripping black fluid,

"What the..." I said, as he chuckled, and tackled me

"Die!" he yelled, dashing in to bite me, I managed to put my right hoof in front of him causing him to bite down on that instead, his fangs piercing my fur and skin, making it go numb, instantly

"Gaah!" I yelled, feeling the pain

He rolled me over, onto my stomach, and felt air rush past us two and his needle like fangs burrowing themselves into my neck, he left them there for a few seconds, lapping up my blood and replacing it with something... new.

and just like that, he was gone, leaving me there gasping for air and coughing up my own blood.
