On the battlefield there was an army, an army of ruthless killers let by a god with a insatiable bloodlust. This god is known by many names: Midnight, pointing towards the darkest time of the world and his mother's side, some call him the Ravager, able to cut down entire armies in single blows and still have enough power to wipe out a continent, his father's side. He had slain hundreds of thousands of lives yet still had a thirst for more. His true name was Μαύρη νύχτα (or in English Black Night).

He woke from his slumber on the comfiest bed imaginable, he was confused. He remembered sleeping on the corpses of his dead rivals and bathed in their blood, yet he was clean and on clouds.

"Okay... Where the FUCK am I?" Black screamed.

"Well... that's no way to greet your father now is it?" Ares replied.

"W-wait Dad? Where am I..." Black asked.

"I have no idea where we are, I was brought here just like you... though I'm afraid it concerns you mother." Ares answered.

"What's wrong with mother?" Black asked with a hint of fear.

"I'm afraid son... She, She's dying." Ares said with a despondent tone.

"N-no it's not true... your joking, this is one of your jokes right?" Black asked with a sense of dread while staring at his father's serious face, "Y-your not joking are you?"

"No... lets go see her shall we?" Ares asked.

"S-sure lets go." Black responded.

Both Ares and Black Night walked into a cloud room, it was dark not like the outside Black understood why it was dark his mother always loved the night and the dark.

"My little Blacky... look how big you've gotten..." Selene said with a strained voice.

"Mother... what happened to you?" Black Night asked.

As Black Night saw his mother he was in tears... her body was famished, wasting away like it was dying from a disease. Her once radiant body was gone all that was left was almost a hollow husk.

"I don't have much time...Blacky I'm giving the moon to you please take care of it, tell it why I am gone... please do this for me it's my last wish." Selene said as she gasped for air.

"I will mother... I won't let you down I promise." Night replied

As both Ares and Black held their mother and wife in their arms she faded away her body turning into dust most of the ash flying away into the clouds, but a small amount of glowing dust flowed into Black. He felt stronger, a voice entered his mind and was panicking it was the moon, it was calling out to his mother pleading wishing for her not to leave, for her to stay minutes more.

"Please... Selene please stay." The moon spirit said in his head.

"I'm sorry mother is gone..." Night thought to the moon.

"O-oh you must be Black Night... Selene always talked of how proud she was of you." The moon spirit said while sniffling.

"Don't speak to me for a week... I need to get my head cleared please." Black asked in his thoughts

"Of course I will respect that, I feel you pain." the moon said exiting his mind.

3 MONTHS LATER

After wiping out the 31st Spartan battalion Black Night fainted, he had been non-stop killing for three months, neglecting the moon and ignoring all the pleas of his soldiers, the enemy soldiers and the innocents he had slain in his blind rage. After three months he was exhausted, he had killed hundreds of thousands if not millions before he stopped, to him sleep came painfully Black's thoughts being invaded by waking nightmares, even gods had to rest. After three months his army was gone he was the only one left on the battlefield.

Suddenly he woke up screaming, he wasn't on the ground anymore but a layer of clouds he recognized to be the home of the gods.
There was one figure he didn't recall ever seeing and it was standing in front of him with a face that would make Hades tremble in his boots, this was not Zeus or any other god.

"You have displeased me!" The character boomed.

"Why are you angry! I have been doing my duty, wiping out armies as the god of war!" Black screamed back.

Suddenly he was lifted off his feet and thrown into a wall and was held there.

"YOU NEGLECT YOUR OTHER DUTY! THE MOON IS NOW ANOTHER DUTY YOU MUST ACOMPLISH!" The figure said scolding Black.

"I DON'T CARE YOU FILTH, I-" Black started

"DON'T SHOUT AT ME AND CALL ME FILTH, YOU DISRESPECTFUL CREATURE... WHAT WOULD YOU MOTHER SAY!" The character boomed again.

"I'm so-" Night started.

"Hmm... I will send you to a place of peace as punishment, and make you learn it..." The thing said out loud.

"No... No plea-" Black tried to start.

The creature snapped his fingers opening a portal, "Good luck your fate is in your hands." the Figure said while Black was whisked away by the portal.

The portal opened in a lush forest with beautiful trees that had crispy orange leaves showing it was autumn, as Black flew out the portal he came across a gorge with a drawbridge going across it, or it would have been if it hadn't have fallen down. But across the gorge was what surprised Black the most a stone castle, although it was in ruins he could have imagined how it looked in it's prime. Night prepared to jump across the gorge, he ran and jumped over the gap and barely made it across which was no surprise considering the gap was at least four metres wide, with it confirmed the Night still had his god powers he began to explore the castle. He came across a library but left it be because he was not scholar or a reader. After hours of exploring Black Night finally came upon the final room in the castle, a throne room with two chairs, maybe for a king and queen. But what surprised him the most was a black pony with dark blue armour sitting at the top this pony also had a crescent moon with a splotch of dark blue on the flank of the pony and it had wings and a horn.

"Hello? Can you speak?" Night asked.

When the pony didn't reply he turned around and mumbled 'guess not' and started to walk away, and that's when it spoke.

"Ah so you've fina- your not them..." the pony replied.

"You can speak... What are you doing here?" Night asked not knowing what to say and blurting out a random question.

"I am here bringing eternal night... What are you doing?" the pony asked.

"Wait you control the moon? Well that's a coincidence because I can too." Night Replied.

"Well of cour- wait you control the moon to? Show me." the pony demanded.

"Only if I can learn your name?" Black demanded.

"Well it's only fair... I am Nightmare Moon, and you are?" the now named Nightmare Moon replied.

"I am Μαύρη νύχτα the god of war and the moon, now I will show you I can move it." Black Night replied.

Black then made the moon go in circles, then turn it into a crescent moon, only then to turn it back and lower the moon out the way of the sun and then put it back.

"Y-you really can? Also what are you, I have never seen a creature like you before and what is your name that is just gibberish to me?" Nightmare asked.

"I am a god but the body I'm currently inhabiting is called a human, but I can also turn into a wolf signifying the moon and loyalty to my armies, also Μαύρη νύχτα means Black Night ." Black said showing Nightmare his forms.

"Impressive and interesting, I do hope we meet again but can I ask you to leave someone is here?" Nightmare Moon asked politely.

"I'll hide behind a pillar and then we will talk properly ok?" Black asked.

"Of course my 'friend'." Nightmare said with a sweet tone.

As Black Night hid behind one of the pillars at the far corner of the room another pony showed up this time it was a lavender purple colour with a purple mane and six purple stars on the pony's flank with just a horn. Black was watching intently without being seen and saw the pony use magic to lift up five balls of stone with engravings in them, after a while Nightmare Moon shot a blast of magic destroying them, then cackling evilly. Black Night almost intervened if it wasn't for five more ponies to come up the stairs. One of the ponies was orange with a Stetson had a three apples as a picture on it's flank with blonde coloured hair, next was a pale yellow pony with wings meaning it was a Pegasus, the Pegasus' mane was a light pink and the picture on it's flank was three butterflies. After the yellow Pegasus was light blue Pegasus with a rainbow mane and a rainbow lightning bolt on it's flank, Next was a pink pony with a lively pink mane and three balloons on it's flank, and lastly was a white pony with a gorgeous indigo mane, but it's tail was cut a bit and on it's flank was three diamonds. The battle ended when six pieces of jewellery appeared with the pictures on the flanks of the ponies on the jewellery then they lifted up into the air and shot a rainbow at Nightmare Moon while she was screaming. Black Night stayed put afraid for second time in his life, and of ponies for that matter, after the light cleared there was a smaller pony there still with wings and a horn but her coat was a light blue and this time the mane wasn't flowing, but now there was another pony this time it was pure white like the pony with the indigo mane but the mane for this pony was a rainbow as well but it was flowing like a ghostly wind was blowing through it and the picture on the flank was of a sun.

"Welcome back Luna." The new pony said.

"Princess Luna!" the other six ponies shouted.

"I'm so sorry Celestia can you please forgive me." the now named Luna said while crying.

"Of course I can I'm just so glad your back dear sister." the now named Celestia said shedding a few tears.

"Oh that reminds me, Luna said, I would like you to meet my friend I met while I was waiting for you six, come on out Black Night." Luna said cheerfully while eyes still filled with tears.

Black Night walked out and while Luna was still cheerful the six smaller ponies had looks of worry plastered on the faces and Celestia's face was turned into a small frown. Before anyone could do anything a Rainbow shot out and hit Black Night on the face knocking him unconscious and Luna looked in a state of shock before the world went dark.
