My Shattered Soul

May 25 2035. North of Rifle, Colorado

I just knew this day would come. For some damn reason the two responsible for destroying my life are here on Earth. I WAS watching a ballgame on tv until the breaking news banner flashed across the screen. As I watched the President of the USA came walking out. It was the two figures behind him that I couldn't believe. What the fuck are Celestia and Luna doing on Earth, I wondered.

The Potus went on to explain that for the last three months, that he had been in secret negotiations with the two Princesses. As he put it, we could pretty much answer the question of are we alone. I had already knew the answer, now everyone else knew it too. Watching as the scene played out, I had to wonder what their purpose was. My thoughts were broken when Luna stepped up to the mic.

"I am Princess Luna, Princess of the Night, Goddess of the Moon and co-ruler of Equestria. Our primary mission is to have peace and friendship between our world's yes, but I have a secondary reason to be here. I have come to find my husband as well. Yes, I am married to a human. He appeared on our world two thousand years ago. I fell in love with him and we was married two years later. Two hundred years later , both me and my sister made a grave mistake. Atlas my love, come back to me, come back home. I beg you please. You have done nothing wrong. The fault lies with me and sister."

I watched her turn and walk back into the White House. Not fucking happening Luna. If it's taken this long for the two of you to realize that I had done nothing wrong, then tough shit. You both dug your holes, now you get to live in them.

Oval Office two hours after announcement

"Do you believe he will answer you" asked the President.

"I can only hope he does, but I doubt he will. He was broken when we banished him. I might not have been in control of my actions, but I will remember his denials and emotional responses for eternity. I was his anchor, his world. And I threw him away" Luna stated finally reaching her breaking point. She had started sobbing.

"What do you mean by, not in control of your actions?"

"My sister means that her mind and body was subverted by a evil spirit Mr. President" answered Princess Celestia. "Just as she was his anchor, he was hers. At the time she was going through a period where our little ponies had shunned her night. Luna was depressed and angry. Atlas mitigated most of these feelings, but the Nightmare was too strong. It convinced me that Atlas was a threat and we banished him. I had to banish my little sister six months later."

"That creature knew that my husband was its greatest obstacle, so it had him removed. I would not have fought my husband."

"I will help you find him. If I may ask? What is his real name?"

" J Lynn Voigt."

"I will give his name to the FBI. They should be able to find him."

"Thank you Mr. President."

"It's not a problem Princess Luna. Until we find him both of you are welcome to stay here."

Two days later

I was about to head out to check my traps when a knocking came upon my front door. I've been here twenty years and not once has someone knocked on that damn door. When I opened it three FBI agents was standing there.

"J Lynn Voigt?"

"Yeah. What is this about?"

"We need you to come with us sir."

"Am I under arrest?"

"No sir, but your presence is required."

"In that case. Fuck off!!" and I slammed the door in their faces. Well time to pull up stakes and move. Why do they have to wreck my life again?

Three hours later

I was just about to walk out the door when knocking came again. "WHAT THE FUCK? TWENTY GODDAMN YEARS AND NOT ONE DAMN VISITOR. NOW I GET TWO IN ONE DAY!" I yell out. When I opened it, I should have slammed it closed. Celestia and Luna was standing there. "Why? Is it not enough to ruin my life once? Now you both had to come here to do it again?"

"We are not here for that J. I want you to come home. I want my husband back" Luna pleaded.

"Let me see if I remember this right" I said looking at Celestia. "If you ever return to Equis. I will have you executed. Does that ring some bells? You know, I wish you had me killed. My life has been a living HELL since then. I have no meaning, no purpose to my life. Both of you was my life. Now I have nothing. What do you have to say about that? Hmmm?"

"Luna was not herself brother. She had been corrupted by a evil spirit J. She di.." "Bullshit" I interrupted. "She knew what she was doing Tia."

"I had no control over myself J. The Nightmare was controlling me. I lost myself and hurt the ones that meant the most to me." Luna was crying hard now. Her emotional control was slipping.

"Oh. Ok. Well, why did take two thousand years to figure this OUT THEN?"

"I had to banish Luna six months after you J. For a thousand years I was alone. When she returned, the Elements was used to purify her. The first question she asked was where was you. Luna had hoped I had brought you back home, but I couldn't find you. It took a thousand years to find you and open a portal. The spell we used did not tell us where you went." Celestia hung her head after that.

Neither of you still get it. What you put me through has shattered my heart and soul. They don't exist anymore.

If either of you have any respect for me, you will do as I ask. Go back to Equestria. Seal the damn portal. And never return. J...just leave me alone" and I shut the door.
