My Shattered Soul
Following my soul

It's not fun being at war with ones self. Ever since Luna and Celestia knocked on my door, my heart and soul have been battling each other for the right to be heard. My heart says they would betray me again, but my soul. My soul is more insistent about the ordeal. I guess it has a point being that me and Luna are soulbound. It's like being soulmates, but much deeper. That is where I got my immortality and abilities.
Anyways I was sitting there trying to watch another ballgame when knocking was heard from my front door. Rolling my eyes I muttered under my breath "After today I am moving." When I opened the door a candy pink alicorn was standing there.
"Hello Uncle I am Mi Amore Cadenza, but you can call me Cadence."
I stood there dumbfounded till I uttered "Due what?"
"I am Celestia's adopted niece."
Looking behind her I spotted five royal guards and five FBI agents. What the hell is going on now I thought to myself.
"Can we talk inside please?"
"Uh, sure. They stay outside though" I said pointing to her escorts.
"Of course" she replied smiling. So I stepped back inside to let her in. Walking to my chair I motioned towards the couch "Have a seat Princess."
"I wish you wouldn't say that Uncle. We are family after all." After sitting down she turned to me with a frown on her muzzle. "You have no idea how bad Luna and Celestia are hurting over this whole situation do you?"
"I doubt it's as bad as what I feel. I lost everything that was important to me, what did they lose? Nothing. That was the last thing Celestia said to me before they cast that damn spell. She called me a useless nothing. I imagine that not one shread of my existence in Equestria is left."
"That's not true Uncle. As soon as she realized what had happened Auntie Celestia started to undo all of the damage that had been done to yours and Luna's public image. And another thing, everypony in Equestria knows who you are. Celestia never let your name or Luna's fade or be forgotten by anypony. Yes her little ponies are important to her, but family matters more to her. She waited one thousand years for her sister to return. She worked for the last thousand to see her brother in law to come home as well."
I looked at the pink alicorn for a moment. "How do I know this isn't some trick so she can follow through with her threat from all those years ago? I still remember the look of hatred in her eyes."
"That was never in effect Uncle." A thoughtful look crossed her face then a smile. "Let's step outside for a moment. If my words can't convince you, there is a pony outside that I know can."
"Very well Cadence." I followed her outside and to the right of my cabin. When I made the corner I had to stop and stare in wonder. Standing at perfect attention was the twenty five member guard unit that served me and standing there grinning like a fool was its ancient ass thestral captain that goes by Claymore.
"You're still kickin you old war horse" I ask him.
"I told both the Princesses that I would not die till after you come home."
"Loyalty to the end Clay?"
You lead me and the boys through the wars my Prince and we always came home. That will always get the loyalty to follow somepony like you. No matter where you are, the Sky Guard will be at your side."
"Thank you my friend. I have to ask this of you. Should I go home? Will my heart be broke again?"
"I can't tell you what to do my lord, but I have watched both of those mares suffer for the last two thousand years because of what happened. Their hearts are broken because of the whole bucking situation."
"As always your council is appreciated Clay. I have a decision to make now. I'm guessing that y'all aren't going anywhere?"
"Of course not J. We have found you again and we are not abandoning our station, which is at your side."
"As you were Captain."
"Yes my lord."
I walked away smiling. Looking back at Cadence I asked her "Are you done here or do you want to talk more?"
"No I think I'm done here, so I'll be returning to Equis in the morning."
"Very well. I forgot to ask. What are you the Princess of exactly?"
"Oh, I'm the Princess of Love and I rule the Crystal Empire along side my husband Shining Armour."
"The Empire is back? When did this happen?"
"About a thousand years ago. It has been at peace since then too."
"That's good to know. Tell Luna she will know my decision before too long. And take care Cadence."
"I will Uncle. I will see you soon, one way or another."
As she walked over to a waiting suv, I contemplated my future. Should I return to my true home? I'll take as long as I need to figure this out.
One month later
Over the last month I have been in deep thoughts over going home. Earth isn't my home. Equestria is and always shall be. I had talked to Claymore a few more times and he told me what I wanted to know or gave me the sound advice he always had.
"Clay is what Cadence told me true? That Celestia never let any information about me be hidden?"
"She is correct my lord. The Princess never did hide anything. She even admitted that they both was wrong."
Two nights later I called for a messenger. The note I sent to Luna was a simple one. I asked one question of her.
Do you still want me at your side?
