“Hey Shiny.” I said.
“I told you not to call me that.”
“Oh sorry, Shining Stone. What have you got me this time?”
“Actually, what I have got us.” Shinning said.
“Us?”
“Yeah, just you and me, under the moonlight.” I blushed immediately. “You mean, like a date?” I said.
“Yeah.” Using his magic I watched as Shinning stone used his magic and set up the little picnic.
“Uh, are you saying you want me to be your-”
“Yep.”
My blush showed out from under my black fur.
“Come on, sit down. It’s just like any other night.” Shinning said. I sat down in front of the picnic. There was a lovely fruit salad on what only could be a silver plate. The cloth was velvet and candles were in the middle. I looked up at Shinning. The moonlight made his blonde mane and tan fur glisten. I nearly had a nosebleed.
“Are you going to eat?” He said as I looked at his sapphire eyes.
“Uh, yeah.” I said as I shook my head. The dinner was great and I had a wonderful time.
We had a lot of fun together for the past 2 months. Even though we grew up together, I never felt like I knew him as much until we dated. He would always say he loved me and sometimes he would catch me singing and was amazed by how good I was.
“Have you ever made your own song?” He asked me.
“Kinda. It’s based off a little story I just thought of one day.” I said.
“Can you tell me about it?” he said as he sat next to me.
“Uh, well it’s about a mare that’s destined to die and she only has enough time to tell her love goodbye.” I said.
“Well how does the song go?” he said.
“I don’t really have all the words yet, but I’m putting them together.” Shinning chuckled and said, “You’re beautiful ya know?” “I know, and so are you.” I said. He smiled and gave me a kiss on the head.
“Shinning?”
“Yes?”
“What about your family? When are you going to introduce me to them?” I asked. “Soon. I will introduce you to them in due time.” Shinning smiled at me and I smiled back. I leaned my head on his shoulder as we watched the sun set together.
The next night after dinner Shinning smiled at me but this time it was different. He told me to lie on my back. I thought it was a game until he got on top of me.
“No Shinning!” I said as I pushed him off.
“I’m not ready for that.” I said.
“S-sorry I don’t know what came over me.” Shinning said. “It’s okay. You know I’m a virgin. I’m sorry but I can’t do this until I’m 20. Pony rules.” Shinning nodded and said goodnight.
The next day about the same time after dinner, Shinning spoke up and said, “I have something for you.” After what happened last night I immediately said, “What did I say last night! No!”
“No no! It’s not like that. It’s an apology for last night.” Shinning handed me a box and opened it. My jaw dropped. It was a fire ruby shaped like my cutie mark, which was a little flame.
“I’m really sorry about last night. Really. I hope you can forgive me.” He said and put the necklace around me neck.
“Of course Shinning. I already forgave you. I know how boys are around pretty girls.” I said. Something weird happened then because when the full moon’s light shone on me his jaw dropped and some blood came out of his nose.
“Shinning? You okay?” I said. He quickly changed the subject and said, “Hey, uh, I’ve been wondering about your tail. How come it never burns anything?”
“Oh! It’s because its temperature changes according to my mood. It’s mostly stays around 53 to 76 Fahrenheit but it only burns when I’m really angry.” I said. “Oh. I also have been wondering why you never use your horn.” “I never learned how use magic.” Shinning just nodded and said good night.
Many months later I woke up in the middle of the night and saw Shinning in front of me. He had a weird look in his eyes. “What are you doing?” I said.
“I-I, I need you Scarlet. I need you now.” He said.
“Why? What happened?” I said worried.
“I can’t take it anymore. You’re just too much. I crave you Scarlet.”
“No Shinning! I told you already! I’m a virgin!”
“Look we both want this, so why not?” he said.
“Because I promised my mother.” I said sternly.
“Fine. I wish I didn’t have to do this.” I became terrified as Shinning’s magic prevented me from moving. He positioned himself on top of me. I had to do something. I had no magic to fight with but I had willpower. Before he could do it I punched his face and his magic released me.
“You little bitch! I’ve taken care of you all these years and you won’t let me have just one night?” He yelled.
“Shinning you’re 16 and I’m only 15! We’re too young for this!” I yelled.
“I’m not going to wait any longer!”
“I am not going to do th-” I was cut off by Shinning using his magic to shut me up. "Enough! I’m going to have this, and you won’t resist!” I don’t know how it happened, but Shinning was about to rape me and I furiously bucked my legs into his head. Then I heard it. I heard a sickening snap that made me almost throw up. I didn’t know where it came from until I saw Shinning’s head.
I broke his neck.
“Shinning! Shinning! Please! I’m sorry! Please get up!” I never meant to snap his neck, I just wanted him to stop. I stood by his lifeless body, realizing that he was dead.
“What is going on out he-”
I turned my head and saw Shinning’s sister. I recognized her from a photo he showed me once.
“Sh-Shinning?!” She said.
“It was an accident!” I had just killed her brother and that’s what I said?
“Who the hell are you?! You killed him didn’t you!” She gasped when she saw my necklace. “You killed my brother and stole the royal jewel!”
“Huh? What, no he gave it to me.”
“What?! Why would my brother give you the family jewel?” she said.
“Cau- I, he-“
“Rrrr, Shut up! Shinning was all I had left of my family! Who are you?!” She said angrily.
“Sc-Scarlet Fl-flare” I said.
“I, I, I’LL KILL YOU!!!!” Shinning’s sister charged at me. I panicked, suddenly I felt a hot sensation in my throat. Before I knew it fire shot out of my mouth and lit the grass in front of me causing fire to burn everywhere. While she was stalled I flew away as fast as I could, never looking back.
