The mighty Space Hulk Kaarn sped through space, firing gun after gun at the Space Marine fleet attempting escape. Great hulls soared through the airless void in hot pursuit with projectiles darting madly around the ships.

Warboss Grubgutz ordered the Meks to push the kustom mega-blasterz to full capacity; lasers struck the ships, tearing through their shields. Kaarn released its cargo of roks unto the enemy, the converted asteroids chock-full of greenskins shooting wildly at the Imperial fleet and tearing through several civilian carriers and the entirety of the escort.

Grubgutz tuned into the Imperial communication channel and threw on some headphones.

“Fight back! We have to protect the last of the civilians, we’ve already lost too many!”

“They took out our Thunderhawks, we can’t fight them!”

“Then call for reinforcements for Emperor’s sake!”

“Yes, Captain”

Grubgutz erupted with laughter. He had sent a team of kommandos to sabotage the long distance beacon on the Emperor ship and sighed with relief as the assault on the Imperials continued. He knew they couldn't reinforce.

Grubgutz swivelled in his chair in childish glee, stopping quickly when he saw some sort of debris drifting toward the bow of the ship. As it came closer, details became clearer.

“Grubgutz! Mines or summink comin’ rite at us!” Yelled a crewman.

The debris came right into view. A spotlight struck the figures that floated in front of Grubgutz. Pale green skin and slit throats with cold, staring eyes came ever closer to the ship as Grubgutz sighed. The dead kommandos smacked the viewing window and slid upward as the ship pushed through space.

Suddenly, the skies lit up in a haze of light as more battleships warped into the system, launching missiles and a tide of bullets into the roks. Grubgutz’ hand came away from his face as he realised what the kommandos had let happen. A cruiser began to release its Stormhawk Interceptors into the fleet of Roks.

Grubgutz got up from his chair, sprinting to the weapons control system and targeting the Emperor Ship. The Boyz running the combat station stood back, both confusion and terror spread across their faces. Grubgutz then began to mash the combat controls, pressing his face against the monitor, hoping for success. His efforts were in vain as the Emperor class vessel projected a new shield around it’s fleet.

“Alright, Boyz! Weez gotz to get outta heer! Fiar da nuke!” Grubgutz shouted, saliva flying from his mouth.

A set of doors began to slide open from the roof of the hulk, revealing a typical farming silo with an enormous warhead bolted into one end and several warp-speed rocket boosters on the other. It slowly rose up from its storage on a crane and screamed as it flew from the loose grip of the crane. It soared through the airless space, obliterating the Thunderhawks and Stormhawk ships in one massive blast at the formation’s centre. The traktor beams sucked up as much scrap as possible, in the short window the Orks had before more Imperial ships arrived. They had collected enough to build about half a Stompa, but alas, the Imperial fleet had reinforced. The Orks had run out of time.

“Turn on dat kaos portal fingy!” Grubgutz commanded, pointing his power claw forward at the enemy.
The Hulk shook and stirred, as a warp portal opened ahead and began to suck them in. The hulk then disappeared, possibly never to be seen again by the empire.
