RD's POV

Friday morning rolled around, and the CMC were at school, most likely talking and chattering about their camping trip later that afternoon.  Last evening, I had just sent Twilight and Fluttershy off from the Ponyville train station, and left my pet flying tortoise, Tank, with my friend and coworker at the weather factory, Thunderlane.  I went home alone, but knowing that I would have lots of fun this weekend.

I was still thinking about my friends when all of a sudden I heard a knock at the door.  Who was that?  Could Soarin possibly be here already?  I called, "Coming!" And went to see who it was.  I received them door when it's a big grin, until I saw Derpy with the mail.

"Derpy, how many times have I told you to just put the mail in the mailbox."

Derpy just gave me the mail, grinned, gave a thumbs up, and flew away.

That silly mare.Confusion washed over me, and I was about to turn around and close the door when I felt a poke in my side.

"Ow! Show yourself! I ain't scared of you, you thief!"

"WAHAHAHAHA!"

Rainbow looked to the side and saw a laughing Soarin, clutching his stomach, and rolling around on the floor.  She stated flatly and walked over to kick him.

"What was that for?!?! You should've seen your face!"  Soarin exclaimed, even after that kick I gave him.

"You still can't top Equestria's best prankster, you goof," and right at that moment, Soarin tripped over my hoof that I stuck out and he fell flat on his face.  Anyways, I said with a smirk, "How'd you even get in here?"

Soarin replied with, "The open window in the living room.  I saw the mailmare about to put the mail in your mailbox, and I told her to keep you busy while I Daring Dooed in (snuck in).  I payed her 3 bits to get her to do it.

I*sigh* "I guess I won't be giving you any apple pie I picked up from Sugarcube Corner yesterday.  I was pretending to be disappointed in him.  Looks like you don't deserve it, and I'll have to eat it myself," I said with a hint of fake sadness in it

"PIE? WHERE? I'LL DO ANYTHING YOU SAY," Soarin looked around while saying.

I said in mock ordering, "Men!  Report to duty, while I go to the schoolhouse to pick up the girls, you will stay here, and prepare the food we will need for the trip."

"Yes siiii-ma'am" Soarin saluted.

Soarin's POV

While I was hard at work, digging through cabinets to find Ziploc bags, I still couldn't get over the fact that I had scared Rainbow Dash.  She's hilarious, and has attitude; I guess that's what I like about her.

I was cutting apples and peeling carrots, and putting them into the plastic bags.  I had already made some cucumber sandwiches that Fleetfoot taught me how to do.  I was thinking about how lucky I was to have gotten a weekend off, even though Spitfire yelled at me for being absentminded.  I sighed and looked at the oven clock.  2:53.  They must be coming back soon, I thought until I realized, Rainbow might have needed me to help her with the girls.  And sure enough, there was she was, at the bottom with the 3 cutest little fillies.

"A little help down here?" A raspy voice yelled from below.

"Coming!" I hollered down below

I swiftly glided down onto the ground next to them.  An orange filly stared at me, her eyes puzzled, until her eyes widened as she realized who I was.

" S-s-soarin? The Soarin?" She stuttered.

I grinned, and replied, "Relax, and yes, I am Soarin.  What's your name?"

A white filly with a pink and lavender mane suddenly piped up, "I'm Sweetiebelle, nice to meet you!"

A yellow filly with the most adorable smile and red mane said in a Western accent, "Hi! I'm Applebloom, it's nice to meet ya!"

The orange filly with the messy mane ands stunted wings quietly said, "I'm Scootaloo, and I'm a hug fan of the Wonderbolts."

Rainbow Dash then said, "Enough with the introducing stuff, let's fly!"

Rainbow then had Scootaloo jump on her back, and Sweetiebelle and Applebloom hopped onto mine.

"Last one up is a rotten egg!" Rainbow yelled.  And then she zoomed off.

"Oh... it's on!"
