Chapter 2: Lightseeker

Isaiah appeared in what seemed like some kind of town square. He looked around and grimaced as a crate he gripped for support turned to dust. “I guess that curse is still active… I had hoped it would were off by the time I got here,” the human muttered to himself. His brown eyes scanned the area, he did not see Stardust… well when he does find him he better not touch him until the curse wears off. Poor Isaiah, always the target of cruel prank curses like ‘anything you touch for the next 1-2 hours will vaporize’. He had been inflicted with it just after Stardust wandered into that rift. Isaiah shook his head. Poor guy… they are the same age but the genetically engineered being is as helpless as a child. Isaiah felt like a babysitter half the time, especially when Stardust wandered off like this.

Some one noticed him, “What… are you!” a brightly colored but very tiny horse asked… seeming very freaked out.

“Um… don’t worry about that I won’t be hear long, just stay back and DON’T come near me.”

“Is that a threat?” some other pony asked stepping dangerously close to Isaiah.

“No… I just want you all to stay away from me, I don’t want to have to hurt anyone here. You see I have a cur…” before he could finish explaining the pony tried to buck him… but vanished in a puff of smoke. “Shoot… I am so sorry, sorry, sorry…” he said as he took a step back.

Ponies started screaming and running away from him and a guard charged him, “You! Stay where you are, you are under arrest!”

“Don’t touch me you will…” Isaiah started to shout a warning but the officer already tried to tackle him. Isaiah panicked, said sorry over and over, and ran. His hand brushed the corner of a building and its walls vaporized making it collapse. Isaiah panicked more… still saying sorry, and his auburn hair began getting replaced with two brown dragon horns, red scales covering his body. Large wings that looked like the night sky exploded out of his back and the red dragon took off.

“I have to hide somewhere till the curse wears off… then I can come back and try to pay them back for any damages, and death, I caused.” He muttered to himself. He looked back and saw he was being followed by a bunch of pegasi. He rolled his eyes and a golden ring appeared in front of him. He flew through it, it vanished, and he shot ahead faster than the eye could see.

~Perspective: Flimsy~

The changeling had taken the form of a guard who patrolled the streets of Canterlot. Sure, Chrysalis wanted him keeping an eye on the princesses but he would rather not be near that white creature until he knew who’s side it was on.

He heard screams and ran to see the commotion… his jaw dropped. An odd two-legged creature was saying sorry over and over after turning a guard to dust, he then destroyed a building, turned into a dragon, and flew off…

“Don’t tell me it is another one of those…” Flimsy groaned… it seemed no matter where he went today he encountered one it seemed. Maybe he should ask Chrysalis if she knew about them? The again the queen said not to come back without the information she needed. So… he will wait. Hopefully he does not die.

~Perspective: Isaiah 2 hours later~

The human sighed with relief when he grabbed a rock and it did not crumble… the curse was gone. “Well, I should probably go back, hopefully I don’t have to use my dragon form again… or a warp ring… transforming and moving that fast hurts!” he groaned to himself.

Isaiah had gained his dragon form a few years ago, in an accident, but he preferred to stay human. He was nothing like Stardust who was created to be any creature he wished to be. Isaiah was not jealous of this, sure at first it seemed cool but life is confusing enough without having your mind warped over a dozen times when your brain changes to that of different creature each day.

He flexed his right hand and a glowing silver sword appeared, its hilt was shaped like a dragon and its grip and a blue gem in it. A voice radiated from the blade, “So… you have been in the new world for less than three hours and you are already a felon, congratulations.”

Isaiah frowned, “Shut up Eternal, I don’t need to hear your taunting voice right now…”

“Then why did you summon me?” she asked.

Isaiah glanced down at the blade. “I need you to boost my speed… I should get back to that city. Stardust is there and we need to bring him back.”

He heard a sigh from the blade and he felt his motions speed up. He was glad that the spirit in the blade co-operated… this time.

~Perspective: Celestia~

Celestia shook her head… 2 dead in Canterlot, and a building collapsed injuring a dozen more. What was that creature that caused this? She looked over to Twilight and her friends. Celestia called them hear hoping they could help with this… thing…

“It seems we have a new enemy…” she began.

“I heard, a two-legged creature that vaporizes ponies and destroys buildings, we passed by the wreckage on the way over hear.” The purple alicorn stated.

“I see… well I want you to figure out what it is, why it is hear and how to stop it…” Celestia said with a grave look on her face. “But be careful not to touch it.”

Twilight nodded and looked at her friends, they nodded as well. The 6 ponies ran out of the castle and prepared to face whatever lied ahead. Just before they could leave Canterlot they saw a streak of light heading toward them, the light suddenly faded and the creature flew out at them and collided with Twilight…

~Perspective: Isaiah and the main 6~

“Ouch… Eternal… why did you turn it off then!” the human shouted, the blade did not reply but faded from reality, turning into a sword shaped mark on her wielders right arm. She would likely not help him out again for a LONG time… knowing her. Isaiah then noticed he was laying on one of the ponies and jumped up, “Oops… sorry… did not meant to…” before he could finish he was tackled to the ground by a blue pegasus with rainbowy hair. “oof…”

“What’s the deal with tackling the princess? Are you the one who hurt all those ponies?” she asked.

Isaiah opened his mouth to respond but she pressed her hooves into his chest. “Answer me!” she yelled.

“I… trying… can’t… breath…” he replied faintly.

“Rainbow dash get off him, he might vaporize you!” an orange one shouted. Rainbow’s eyes went wide and she jumped off, still holding an aggressive stance.

Isaiah coughed and stood up, looking over them in confusion. Then it hit him… “Oh... that… I am very sorry… you see there was a c…”

A pink pony interrupted, “You had a curse that destroyed anything you touched and then you felt really bad after you turned the first pony to dust so you tried to run but then a guard touched you then a building collapsed you flew away after turning into a dragon and waited for it to were off then you came back here hoping there was a way you could help fix the damage and make amends and you also need to find your friend who came with you from another world?” she asked all in one breath which… freaked Isaiah out a little bit.

“Sounds like my entire day… all in one sentence…” he answered, the orange one looked him over.

“So, do you swear that what pinky said is the truth?” she asked, her voice sounded like a country girl.

Isaiah nodded, “I swear mam, on my life and soul and position of the Lightseeker, I do swear that is the truth.”

She seemed to accept this, “I think he is telling the truth.”

“Can we be sure, darling?” a white unicorn spoke up.

“As sure as I am an apple, his eyes are honest,” the orange one said.

This seemed good enough for them all…

“So… how can I help fix what happened?” Isaiah asked.

“Well we can start by finding the one who cursed you and getting JUSTICE!” the blue one shouted, flying in the air and doing a loop.

“I left them in another world, so unless you can open portals that is not happening…” the human stated.

“Well… I am sure they would appreciate you helping to rebuild the store you destroyed. Though we must explain that the lives were lost due to a curse and you had no control over it and feel bad,” Twilight said, she seemed to be thinking. “I guess in the end it is Celestia who decides what happens to you.”

“I accept whatever fate I deserve…” the man said, his eyes solemn.

The ponies just nodded. Twilight walked over to him. “I am Twilight Sparkle.”

“Rainbow dash!” said the blue.

“Apple Jack,” the orange one stated.

“Rarity,” the white one said with a toss of her amazing hair.

“Pinkie Pie!” the pink one bounced and shouted.

Everyone looked towards a yellow pony with pink hair… who had not spoken the entire time. Her head dipped shyly.

“And that is Fluttershy…” Twilight added. “And you are?”

Isaiah smiled at them, “I am Isaiah Lightseeker. If I can help pay for my crimes, no matter how accidental, I will do it. I truly am sorry at the loss of life as I can’t bring them back. But if any were injured in the building I can use my spirit weaving to help their recover be swift.”

~Back at the Castle~

Celestia jumped in surprise as Twilight returned bringing the strange creature with her. “What is the meaning of this?”

Twilight explained the situation and Celestia nodded in understanding. She was about to speak but the human sank to his knees in front of her and bowed down. “I am willing to accept any punishment you wish to carry out…” he said.

The princess smiled, “I am glad you returned and offered to help. Twilight will explain what happened to those effected and I will have you help repair the damage and heal the wounded. I am willing to give you another chance. Just know that if you hurt a pony again, I will not be so forgiving.”

The man smiled and nodded, “Don’t worry, I don’t like hurting anyone… he then looked up and saw a second white alicorn. “STARDUST?!”

The white being turned his head to the side then smiled. “Isaiah!” Next think the human knew he was pinned to the ground with a hug.
